    Delivery times

Mine was also built last week (BW7) and is "released for shipment" at Emden, so presumably waiting for a boat.
  2. You reckon it would be that much for the part? You can get the equivalent Tiguan display for £350 from the Czech Republic (http://www.cars-equipment.com/en/shop/instrument-clusters/oem-5na920791a-instrument-clusters-virtual-cockpit/ - no guarantee that the website isn't dodgy/that the part ever arrives). I guess the other question is whether the necessary wiring is even installed in existing models.
  3. For just over £300, not bad (obviously might be a more expensive option when it comes to the UK). If they could retrofit it for that price I'd be tempted!
  4. Just wondering what people's delivery times were like from build week -> dealer? Mine's being built this week (BW7), presumably only takes a day or two to finish? Then the journey to the dealer via Emden takes a few weeks?
  5. I've made the same mistake before Tempted to do the same, £24 to have somebody line them up nicely and avoid the faff..
  6. £100 fitted price is including the scuff plates, isn't it? So £76 for the plates + £24 labour.
  7. I was told to expect "Week 7, week commencing 12 February", then 3-4 weeks for delivery to the dealer

    Karoq

Oh dear, sounds like it might suffer the same problem as the Ateca then https://www.atecaforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=946
  9. Is it this one? http://www.skoda.co.uk/SiteCollectionDocuments/downloads/brochures/karoq_pricing_specs.pdf Looks like the price for heated front + rear seats has changed; probably to reflect the fact that some specs already have heated front. Does this affect people who have already placed an order then?
  10. The Karoq (specifically the 1.5Tsi SE L) took "Best family SUV between £20k - £30k" https://www.whatcar.com/news/car-of-the-year-2018-awards/#30-expand

    Car ordered

For anyone interested in lead times, we ordered our Edition on the 28th December and have been told the build is provisionally scheduled for week 7 (starting 12th Feb), so hopefully mid-March for delivery.
  12. 29, wouldn't have considered the Yeti (just not a fan of the styling) but the Karoq just fits so well with our needs as a Qashqai-sized alternative.
  13. All this talk of heated windscreen made me feel like I was missing out, so called up to try and add it.. turns out the order's already gone to Skoda and can't be changed now. Oh well, looks like I'll be investing in a few of these
  14. Does anyone know what the "Auto light assist including automatic high beam lights, auto dimming rear view mirror and light and rain assist." option (£200) adds on an Edition spec? Is it just the auto highbeam (turning off when there's an oncoming car) and having the lights come on with the wipers? You already have auto lights when it gets dark and auto dimming rear view mirror, so it seems a lot for a fairly minor feature.
  15. Seems a shame if they went to the effort of making the rear cluster look all modern with the C shape, only to use bulbs for the indicators.
  16. Thanks! One last question (I swear!), could you tell me if the rear indicators are LED or halogen please? Ordered mine 28th December, told delivery expected end of March - should receive a specific date in a few weeks I think.
  17. Haha, ditto. The Karoq is my first Skoda (currently a Honda Civic, so not coming from a fancy car or anything!) and everyone's reaction was "..a Skoda?! Really?". Until they saw the spec and price, then they all understood!
  18. Very nice! Would you be able to tell me what sockets it has in the back? Single 12v cigarette, or does it have USBs too? Thanks
  19. Thanks for the report, sounds like the 19” wheels don’t have a negative effect then. Are the wider wheel arch things shown in the attached pic? Almost like mudflaps on the back?
  20. I can't actually picture what the "body cover on wheel arch" looks like; does anyone have a photo of it? Thanks
  21. Yeh, I'm in the same boat - would prefer 18" higher-profile tyres to improve the ride quality. Madasaskaven: is your test drive in an Edition? Would be interested in hearing your thoughts on comfort with the big wheels.

    Order placed

Yep, on the UK configurator for an Edition it shows as £0

    Order placed

Did anyone ordering the Edition spec have to specifically request the additional warranty? It's a £0 cost tick-box option on the configurator, and wasn't mentioned in my order, but I assume it's just automatically enabled by ordering an Edition?
  24. Yep, said something like “cylinder deactivation” in the multifunction display - wouldn’t have noticed it if that salesman hadn’t pointed it out. They were 18” alloys I believe
  25. Very nice, coming from a 2008 2.2Ctdi Civic. Ride was much more comfortable, but still firm enough that you didn't feel completely disconnected from the road. Engine had to be revved a bit more than the Civic (to be expected, going Diesel -> Petrol I suppose) but didn't feel like it was lacking any pace. There was quite a lot of road noise, but doing the same route after in my car it was *really* noisy so I think it was just a particularly bad surface. Engine was very quiet and smooth, and I noticed even when we were going a steady 30mph the cylinder deactivation kicked in; I thought that would only happen in 6th gear on the motorway, so it's nice to see you'd get the efficiency around town as well.
