  1. Not sure on any differences between 150PS and 190PS diesels as I've only owned the 150PS version.
  2. Mk3 Octavia and Mk3 Superb alloys are interchangeable. Had wheels from 2017 Octavia on 2019 Superb and those are now on my wife's 2018 Karoq. Had a 2013 63 plate 150PS manual Octavia remapped from 147 to 186bhp and from 246 to 317lb/ft by AmD in Essex in 2014 and top speed went from 135mph standard to 150mph so it was faster than a Vrs TDi. Economy dropped from a best of 71mpg standard to 70mpg remapped.
  3. It's one of SKODA's simply clever features built-in at the factory like my wife's Karoq key fobs that both stopped working at exactly the same time and without warning.
  4. So she is happiest after just 5.6 seconds of action..........
  5. Wife enjoys going slower........than faster.
  6. No the 280 had the older 6 speed so does more rpm at 70mph than the 7 speed in the 272 which saves fuel on the motorway. It sits at just 2,000rpm in 7th at the legal limit. My 2020 diesel 7 speed DSG does just 1,600rpm at 70 mph.
  7. Just slides into a built-in square slot. Not sure if a Mk3 Octavia has the same size square in the rear armrest. Not all Octavia's have the rear apull down armrest also. Good luck with your search.
  8. It's a £23 option I have it in the rear of my SEL Superb.
  9. Mine was only £22,840 which was a saving of £10,000 and was 8 months old with 6,253 miles. Still on the first tank of diesel after 51 days and 601 miles driven. It should do over 900 miles.
  10. Merry Xmas to you and your family. Dealers asking from £11,600 for cars with 55,000 miles up to £14,100 for a low mileage example with 20,000 miles. Private sale would probably be £12,000 and a dealer would ask £13,000 for your car.
  11. Well 1st and 2nd converted into 8th and 9th. Bet Bottas can't believe his last 3 race finishes. Russell would have got better service if he had pulled into Kwik Fit. Perez as I keep saying needs the RBR second seat next season after that recovery drive. Massive day for Racing Point with 40 points.......at least a Mercedes engine won the race.
  12. Mercedes appear to have scored a spectacular own goal.
  13. Day 20 completed very tired this afternoon and wanted to stop a couple of times but my stubborn nature kicked in and managed another hour and 26km. Totals now 585km and 25 hours and looking forward to going back to work for a rest.
  14. LeClerc suffered the malady it would seem also. Brain working faster than the feet on pedal.
  15. Guess those soft tyres not such of an advantage after all with cold brakes and a lock up. Handed Bottas 2nd in the Championship if he finishes strongly in this race.
  16. 155mpg not bad over 39 miles although the average speed was very low.
  17. Two questions please if you don't mind. What range are you getting per tank for example 500 miles and what overall mpg are you getting including charging?
  18. Two morning sessions totalling 40 minutes and 17km so now stand at 24 hours and 559km.
  19. You could trade up to a 2020 SEL Superb with Dynamic rear indicators and with the Blind spot monitoring pack you get the indicators moved from the glass on 2019 models to the mirror casing plus the Matrix LED headlights also borrowed from Audi are very bright and very clever with the way they adjust for oncoming traffic. It even looks like an Audi A6 with the silver strip across the rear light clusters.
  20. My brother had many nice company car's before he retired last year but only had one stolen without keys taken from his house which was a Vauxhall Cavalier GSi used for ram raiding local shops for booze and fags.
  21. Read a VW Passat 2.0TDi 2015 when the owner did his own servicing and VW claim 4.7 litres but he ended up using 6 quarts (0.95 quart per litre).
  22. Bottas just on Pole by 0.026 seconds from Russell. Frantic race expected on this 2 mile Mickey Mouse tomorrow.
  23. Day 19 completed with 2 more 30 minute sessions this afternoon followed by a nice soak in the bath. Did a further 25km in one hour so totals are now 542km and 23 hours 20 minutes. Maximum this morning 125BPM and 130BPM this afternoon heart rate according to the Garmin Venu which has now gone up from the £200 Black Friday deal to £279 at Curry's PC World (even more expensive at Amazon). Just for reference wife tried 5 minutes on my uphill setting 4 and managed 1.3km and hitting 116BPM and collapsed in a heap wondering how I can go so hard for so long.
