  1. Drive it like you stolen it... Sounds like it needs to be treated with a bit more stick.....
  2. eBay second hand £230. Luckily not projector as much more expensive.
  3. No. But they do come with dreadful suspension. First thing I changed on mine. Cannot belive how bad it was.
  4. Fabia are not quiet at all. Road noise is much worse than on the Fiesta. Ride and feel is much worse also. WOOPS. Not a great swap then.
  5. Grab this. £175 from Skoda VW Polo,Audi A1,Skoda Fabia,Seat Ibiza SpareWheel 185/60/R15 JACK SET,And Clamp | eBay Or just wheel SKODA FABIA MK3 NJ FULL SIZE SPARE WHEEL 6Jx15 ET38 5x100 185/60R15. POLO IBIZA | eBay What would come from Skoda (what I have in mine) 30254 BSE SDE 2015-2019 MK3 SKODA FABIA 15" SPARE WHEEL WITH JACK KIT 6C0601027 | eBay
  6. Having owned numerus Ford and still do along side our Fabia. I can honestly say, the Fabia is not in the same refinement league. Fiesta has better handling, far less road noise and feels a much better drive than the 1ltr Fabia. Trim level is much better on the ford. That aside, the Fabia is great for the price. Good mpg, same power delivery and great to live with. Less problematic than the Ford, cheaper to fix. Redline a little lacking on speck. Monti is the one to go for.
  7. Just put mine on via Carista. 15 Infotainment screens and 6 MIB screens to choose from.
  8. Plus, if you have put a battery charger on the car like you say. I really do hope not. You will have fried the smart charge on the cars ECU. NEVER on a stop/start car charge across the battery. – negative terminal of the battery. Must ALWAYS use the battery – negative battery charging earth connection to the right of the battery on the inner wing…. Sounds like you may have given yourself hundreds of pounds worth of issues…..
  9. Battery warranty if ONLY if the battery becomes defective. Same goes for all aftermarket batteries to. What you are describing is not an issue with the battery, but with either the smart charge system or the alternator. Nothing wrong with the battery. Your next one will soon die also.
  10. The front assist is generically auto reset to on every time you turn the ignition on. You can only temporarily turn if off via the infotainment/cluster menu. It will reset to on soon as ignition position changed. It can be permanently turned off via Carista or VCDS. But the cluster would inform you that it’s off. With it being an OEM safety feature, insurance would be void if permanently turned off.
  11. Will not work without VCDS coding mind.
  12. Same as many new cars on the road today. New headlight unit. But they last years.
  13. VW UK say 5 years regardless of mileage VW rest of the World say 160000 kms is a check only and replace if necessary. Read this email. 'I am happy to confirm that the information I previously provided is correct, and to confirm, the cambelt replacement intervals for your vehicle are 160,000 miles' 'Having your cambelt replaced every 4 years is a UK recommendation on most Skoda vehicles, but Skoda UK's Technical Departmentmaintain that every 160,000 miles is the interval for a cambelt replacement on your Fabia based on the engine type and size' I then received a phone call from VW UK a couple of days later, who replied to my email, asking why Germany recommend check only at 160K miles, but the UK dealership sate that it should be changed either 5 years or 60 k miles. She said , its was just a recommendation (UK only) to be on the safe side and the 160k miles check only is for the European market. She said that the Service Schedule books are all printed with this generic information for all countries.
  14. Must be a Friday car. All I have seen are the same as the outside.
  15. Just asking? You are taking your water temp reading off a calibrated quality aftermarket gauge, and not the one on the cars dash. The one on the car dash is so way off the actual temperature, it’s almost pointless.
  16. You don't have auto and cannot change it.
  17. They go in the bin ;-) no need on ours. You get four, but do not try and fit them on the Fabia. Just check the spring is wound right round to the stop tab on the cups. Bit of a clean and grease before re fitting the top and bottom cup is best.
  18. Fitted these onto my Mk3 myself. Cleaned the mounts well. Slight lithium grease of the cups and bump stop. Spring end right up to stop in the cups. No issues at all. … Sounds like poor fitting personally.
  19. Fitting was 1 1/2 times the part cost. For a 5 min pop out push in job. 10 year old could fit one
  20. They are that's why. Cheap end of VAG ..
  21. If you change from OEM head unit, you will loose all control of the cars settings. Just change to the Amundsen with camera etc. Around £550 second hand.
  22. Plenty of quality tyres to be had in this size. Goodyear, Michelin or mid-range Avon if you’re on a budget. £85 - £120 a corner is not expensive at all. Never fit cheap budget tyres. Don’t last half as long as premium, so no saving. Plus, crap in the winter, as the cheapo rubber gets to hard. Tyres, brakes and suspension should never be done on the cheap.
