  1. You can still change the springs for stiffer aftermarket ones if needed.
  2. I think your expectation is a little too high since you are seeking for very exact comparison. Which can btw be very subjective. You are looking for someone who had a non VRS Octi with optional sport suspension without DCC and who also had a non VRS Octi without optional sport suspension and with the DCC? Am I right? We are just trying to help you here with giving as much opinions as possible. But it looks like you don't like that.
  3. I would assume that sport suspension in a normal Octavia isn't the same as the hardest setting in a VRS Octavia with DCC. Maybe it should be compared to the DCC hardness in Normal mode.
  4. Doesn't matter in which mode you turn off the car. It always defaults to Normal. Even if you turn off the car in individual mode. Yes, I have the DCC. What I was trying to say is it could be a bit more stiff in sport mode when driving in the mountains on a perfect road (or on a track, which I didn't do yet). But for majority of my driving in sport mode, the stiffness is just a very good balance between sportiness and comfort. Considering most of our B roads and mountain roads are quite bad.
  5. I can confirm driving mode goes to normal every time you start the car. Have no idea about the suspension though. All I can say is I would wish a bit firmer ride in Sport mode.
  6. Yes, I think it's the whole main computer. According to some other users, changing the actual hardware has fixed the issues they had with their car. I'm also starting to notice more and more users are reporting they will get a new replacement computer. So it could be Skoda has finally realized what needs to be done in order to fix these issues.
  7. Thanks. This is also very logical since not having a rear wiper you also don't have the stick to operate it and no way to wash the camera. So they added a button into the infotainment sytem.
  8. You mean the washing button inside the infotainment system?
  9. They have fixed it remotely without you even knowing.
  10. He is not alone. I have them. But I rarely use the massage function.
  11. I really don't see any reason why they wouldn't want to update your car with the latest available updates. As far as I know they put your VIN in the computer and the system displays all available updates for your car.
  12. Lane Assist and Travel Assist are not the same thing. Travel Assist uses lane assist and ACC to keep the car in the middle of the road. The basic lane assist doesn't do that.
  13. Hi Mark. How do you know there is no travel assist included? Did you have chance to drive and check the car? It would be really strange if car is fully optioned and missing only the travel assist. About the coding...currently coding of the new Octavia is very limited since almost all modules are secured and you need a SFD token to access them. You can read more here and here I hope someone will be able to be a bit more helpful than I.
  14. You can ask for Device part number and Software version. This way you will know if the general SW version is the latest or not. But there is no way to check if all car modules were updated with latest updates or not. These details are not available to check through car's infotainment system.
  15. I don't use it on mine. It's turned off since the day I got the car. Not just on this forum, also in the German FB group a few owners reported this issue. As far as I remember all took their cars to the dealer who was able to fix the issue.
  16. You can't do that since new Octavias have an e-sim and no physical slot for the real sim.
  17. You are welcome! Hope you resolve this issue with Nav tomorrow.
  18. Currently it looks like that devices with part numbers ending with A, B or C, can only be updated to 1668 version. There was one (or maybe two) case where one such device was updated to 1806 version. But unfortunately no such cases were reported afterwards.
  19. Nice one. But I really don't know what's up with the sunlight you have down there in Australia. This one also looks like Steel Grey. Same as on Andy's picture.
  20. Sure. https://www.facebook.com/groups/390228318602141/posts/686361322322171 Did you perhaps already thought about how to make the the gear selection menu visible in case you will be using the alcantara?
  21. You are welcome. Did you already do anything to the center console?
  22. @parsey83 if you are still looking for a matching alcantara... https://www.ukhide.co.uk/product/alcantara-9002-charcoal It was posted yesterday in the UK Octavia NX FB group.
  23. Noo waaaayyy! It's clearly Steel Grey on that pic.
