  1. I had some strange behavior yesterday where the system didn't log me in automatically. I had to go to users menu and select my profile manually. Other than that everything works fine. Still on old 1788 SW.
  2. I saw a video on YT about a golf mk7 where they fitted an addition USB ports in the back console. And they also needed to add extension cable from the front console to the back.
  3. Hi there. What set of physical buttons do you have under the infotainment system? If your car have this option, you should have a dedicated button for selecting driving modes. Like this:
  4. I just pressed OK. And since after some minutes the notification didn't go away by itself, I pressed the home button. I didn't try to login again to Skoda Connect since I was already logged in. Will see if something will happen in the next days.
  5. You need to have phone selected in order to make a call.
  6. Exactly. But you need to have phone selected in one of the menus in the instrument panel. Left or right. What it looks like the main issue Dave has is that he can't choose "Phone" in the menu in the first place.
  7. You should still have "Phone" visible in the right menu on the dash screen, you just can't do anything with it. At least this is how it is with Apple car play. Don't know how it is on other makes. But I agree with you, it's pretty poor. Don't know from my head. I will try to check next time when I'm in the car.
  8. Forgot to mention. You can answer or reject the call from the steering wheel. But to terminate an ongoing call is a bit more trickier. At least on my car. I think I saw somewhere on the facebook that it can be done differently so it could be this is a bug on my car. And yes, this is far more complicated operation than on previous generation of the infotainment. It's pretty sad they did it that way. 😞
  9. Sorry for bad picture. But you can see I have the phone selected in the right menu. When connected through bluetooth you can call the last (don't know how many) dialed contacts with the steering wheel buttons. Pressing the right wheel button, then go right and then you can use the right wheel button to scroll up and down through contacts. Ohh and you can only use this when phone is connected through BT. You can't use it when connected to Apple car play.
  10. I'm pretty sure you need to take off the bumper.
  11. Exactly. Wait until you get the car. And then decide. And I agree on that black wheels/grill combo. They should go more likely together.
  12. I guess I would stay with chrome grill and badges if my car would have chrome round the windows. But I would need to see the car in person or at least on pictures.
  13. I sure will. Just it might take a little bit more time since I'm planning to install them together with the new exhaust (still not sure which one 😞 ) @parsey83 anything new with the center console?
  14. To bring back the topic a bit. 😄 Something new came yesterday. Will be installed sometime in the near future. 120 Years of Skoda Motorsport exhaust tips.
  15. I had one such annoying beep in my car. Usually got it before some intersection or roundabouts. I played a few times with sat nav settings but the beep was still there. Until I turned off (almost) all setting in the sat nav. That helped. 😁 But I can't tell you exactly which one was the one since I didn't bother finding out and kept all setting off.
  16. One and only...Steel Grey/Meteor Grey. 🥰 I know it was discontinued but in my opinion the best color for an Octi.
  17. @SkOmk4 haha yes, it's the second button. 😁 Would be much tolerable if they would keep a physical button.
  18. Thank you for your video. 👍 Very interesting! I'm following you on Youtube. Keep the good work. Can we expect more videos of the new Octavia mk4 tips and tricks in the future? 😁
  19. Yeah, me too. It's really annoying. Most annoying thing in the car.
  20. In German group they say it's not possible yet. The same as for permanently disabling start/stop system
  21. Thanks for explaining @timster I'm really surprised that the system is actually an active one in the Octavia.
  22. Hmmm I never noticed any changes during driving in a certain mode. Maybe they are so small an average driver can't notice them? But I really doubt they installed an adaptive DCC in an Octavia.
