Opinions on the fully black emblem
I agree. My front VRS badge is from him. But it's not for everyone since they are not cheap. 😁

But this one is not original one. It's a different design.

The hardest part is to get the right piece. The front VRS badge is a two piece badge. The back plate and the letters. If you manage to get just he letters like I did, then you just need to remove the letters and put on the new ones with double sided tape. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the original letters without destroying since they have plastic pins at the back which are "melted" on the other side which you need to brake. If you get a complete set (backplate + letters) then you need to brake of the original backplate and glue the new one with some heavy duty glue. Here is a picture of the back plate with holes for plastic pins from letters.

Steaming bonnet. (VRS TSI)
You can change what is displayed in the center either left or right dial. Newer model have also option to change the middle portion in between the two circle dials. Press the right scroll button to move where do you want to change options. When you press it you will see two green arrows displayed which mean you can then scroll the right scroll button up and down to change what is displayed. This is the bit from owners manual. Since this is one of the first versions of the manual, there is no mention of changing the info displayed in the F (on the picture) portion of the virtual cluster.

You can get the RS view coded in the non RS models. Which displays exactly? Both ones on my pictures?

You can check oil temp when you choose the RS cluster view or if you set temp readings (for oil, water and transmission) in the left or right gauge.

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
I was told by my service partner that the car needs to be on the 1896 version in order to get the 1941 version over the air. If this is not the case, then 1896 version needs to be installed manually by the service partners first.

Switching off Electrical Defaults
Good luck with your dealer. But I doubt they will be willing to do anything about it since they officially can't change settings which are not meant to be changed.

Help Ending a Call via Steering wheel
I have my car over 3 years now, I use phone in the car quite often and to me ending the call by pressing the button on the main touch screen is quicker and easier.

Help Ending a Call via Steering wheel
As far as I know the VC layout and the infotainment system is not the same in the Kodiaq. Just pressing the roller wheel doesn't do anything in the Octi when you have an active call via BT. To cancel the call in Octi you need to press the right roller wheel (presumably you already have BT screen selected in the right VC dial), then press the right button and then cancel the call.

Switching off Electrical Defaults
Lane assist can be coded to "remember last setting" setting with VCDS or OBDeleven or similar coding tools. But for start-stop there is no possibility to change the behavior with coding only.

Locking\Alarm 'chirp'
Hi, it needs to be coded with a coding tool like VCDS or OBDeleven. Then you get an extra setting in the car's menu where you can enable or disable audible confirmation when locking. It's one bip of the car horn.

Help Ending a Call via Steering wheel
If you have a phone connected via BT, then it's possible. But you need to have BT phone added in the VC. Indeed it's a 3 click step. If you have a phone connected via Apple Car play, then there is no possibility to end the call via steering wheel.

No internet connection.
Sometimes warning lights, caused by disassembling things in the car or changing accu, need a couple of drives to disappear.

2023 VRS estate mudguards
There are a few ridges on the inside of the guard where the guard meets the bumper. I guess to maintain some distance betwwen the guard and the bumper. Some of the caused a mark in the pains. I think some of them actually wnt through the pains since you can see black plastic of the bumper. this year I shaved off all the ridges and applied a thin self adhesive foam from the top to the bottom of the guard. Will see in spring the outcome.

2023 VRS estate mudguards
No major issues with installation. But I had some issues with the rear ones leaving marks on the bumper. Looks like the ridges on the guard have grinded of some paint. Not at all points, but just on some. Will try to find some pictures what I mean.

Collected my new VRs
Imagine you have some kind of hyper car with ultra bad rear visibility.

Collected my new VRs
Yeah, it's a personal preference. I had a sedan for 13 years without a rear wiper and have never missed it. The rear window was pretty clean for most of the time.

Collected my new VRs
Congrats! Rear wiper delete was an option when specing the car. At least here in Slovenia.

Black dust on front wheels
I would also strongly recommend ceramic coating the car, wheels and windows to anyone who likes to have their car clean. It's soooo much easier to clean a car which has been ceramic coated compared to wax or anything else.
