  1. @LuxoviaRS just pressure wash will have a little affect since brake dust is quite stubborn to remove if you don't have some kind of protection applied to the wheels (wax or ceramic coating). I would recommend using Koch Chemie Magic Wheel Cleaner (or any similar quality product dedicated for washing wheels). You just spray it on, wait a few minutes and then pressure wash the wheels. It does an excellent job without needing to touch/scrub the wheels. https://www.koch-chemie.com/en/products/magic_wheel_cleaner
  2. Totally normal. And the car will tell you when you need to replace the pads. Pads have a wear sensor.
  3. @SiWaiting from my computer tech standpoint, don't fix it if it's not broken. In this case I wouldn't apply and updates it they are not necessary.
  4. There is/was an option to add "trailer preparation" when ordering a new car. This option includes wiring, stronger alternator and some other bits. And according to your comment, it looks like it also includes a predrilled rear diffusor so you don't need to cut it if you decide to add a tow bar at later time.
  5. Hi @seh2000 My dealer told me that for cars with versions lover than 1896, the car first needs an update to 1896 version before they can update the system to 1941. After that the car should receive all BIG update over the air. They also told me the updates are mandatory. I have 1788 version. So it's worth asking your dealer about it.
  6. If I'm not mistaken, this has something to do with a specific setting in the built in sat nav. Try fiddling with sat nav settings and turn everything off. And see if that make that message away.
  7. I didn't do it by myself. I would agree with what it says online. Since my mechanic didn't have any VAG tools. So I went to another one. I think you need the tool to release the calipers since parking brake is applied automatically after some time when car is on the lift.
  8. Welcome and happy driving! My mods: - front Skoda symbol black - front VRS badge black/red - black exhaust tips - spacers 12mm front, 15mm rear - trunk lights swapped for LEDs - glove compartment light swapped for LED - sound deadening both front doors and trunk - lane assist changed to remember last setting - switched on rear DRL
  9. This only means that the profile will remember the settings under Individual mode. This doesn't mean that the system will remember the last driving mode used by the user. This will always fall back to Normal with every start of the car.
  10. That's it. I did that the second day I got the car.
  11. So....I didn't go with EBC. At least not entirely. 😁 Instead I have chosen DBA brakes. Front: DBA 4000 series rotors + DBA XP brake pads Rear: DBA 4000 series rotors + EBC yellow stuff pads (DBA doesn't offer yet rear pads) Braided brake lines Motul RBF 600 brake fluid First impression is great. Quiet, good initial bite, good pedal feel.
  12. If you don't have a spare wheel, then you don't have a Canton sound system. And if you don't have a Canton sound system, you don't have a sub to swap it with the Audi sub.
  13. Thanks. @Internetdivisor the comment about the sub is meant for me? I have the sub in the spare wheel.
  14. Nice. Do you have any pic about the new threaded bar and how it holds down everything? And maybe part number of the Audi sub?
  15. Did you change only speaker or the full assembly? Speaker and the box?
  16. I wish a Golf R's engine with 320bhp and 4 wheel drive. A 55 L fuel tank, sturdier seats and quicker infotainment system or system in general.
  17. If you are using genuine screenwash and water, then the light should go on at low level. Just try to activate the washers and let the water run out. This way you will be sure the water tank is empty.
  18. This is really crazy how dealers and their employees don't take care of other people possessions. Smth similar happend to me. I'm so glad I already had the PPF on. They also denied it at first. But at the end they paid for the new PPF on the front fender.
  19. Mine was looking the same. It was changed under warranty.
  20. I also need to check this and try to eliminate the vibrations. Maybe try to reassemble it? Or if there are any loose wires that can rattle against the metal, etc
  21. Sound actuator is not a speaker. The sound is produced through vibrations through the front glass. And it is placed under the plastic cover under the front wipers.
  22. I guess question is about capacitive sensors for lane assist/travel assist and not the haptic buttons like in golf mk8.
  23. Damn. This looks awful. 😞 What if the fluid is leaking from the car itself? Or maybe you ran over a puddle of brake fluid?
  24. Similar, yes. Not sure if it comes from the plastic cover around the rear mirror and the lights or somewhere else. It could also be coming from the area you described. I guess I need to check both.
