New Brochure (& specs) from 1st July 2021
I did notice on the Skoda website there was a different user manual for cars built after 06/2021, this must be the effect of that. Other changes: The brochure makes it seem like heated seats and heated windscreen are only available in the winter pack, which cannot be added to L&K? I'm hoping this isn't the case! Emerald green colour dropped Brown leather interior dropped, but new cognac shade added. Seeing as I've ordered green with brown leather, and I'm not sure it's been built yet, I'll be interested to see what turns up!

Superb iV charger cable length
Tethered is where your ev charger (assuming you're using one and not the granny charger) has a hard wired cable with a type 2 connector on the end. It cannot be removed and is usually holstered to the wall when not in use:

Superb iV charger cable length
If this is to plug into a home charger and it's not too late, I'd recommend you get a tethered one. It's annoying having to coil up a soaking wet cable and either put it indoors or in the car. Especially all through winter.

Delivery Delays
My order updated today. Ordered 09/02/21. Now expected 13/08/21 with build slot confirmed. Hopefully it won't go to that airfield for a few weeks missing a few components!

Superb iV charger cable length
I think the VAG cables are all the same. The granny cable will be about 7m. The type 2-type 2 will be 5m (this is just enough for you to reverse into a bay and plug into a charger behind you, but you'll need to drape the cable over the side mirror because there won't be enough slack to lay it on the floor)

Superb iV VC Charge Arc
It indicates available regeneration/recharge. It's dictated by battery charge level and battery temperature. When the battery is full, or nearly full, there's limited regeneration potential so the bar shortens. If your battery is very cold (winter morning) or hot (driving for a long time in battery charge) it'll also shorten. You'll notice the effects if you drive in B mode, when the bar is short it'll not slow down by much at all when you lift off the throttle. It can catch you by surprise if you're expecting to slow down and it continues to coast as normal.

Bad vibration at motorway speeds
If you're certain it's not a buckled wheel I'd suggest it's castellated / sawtooth tyre wear on the rear. If you've swapped them front to back and the problem has stopped then it's more than likely that. Always put the new rubber on the back to prevent this, it's a VAG trait

iV...set up delayed charging
In the e-manager where you edit your departure time, day etc, there is an option to tell it when your "low tariff" is. I'd recommend using the function on the car or the function on the podpoint but not both together.

Retrofit Heated Washer Nozzles
I'll just hope for the best! The next thing I'll discover is that you need to code in the backrest release from the boot too
-
Bonnet vents
You'll get a load of snarky comments but that's pretty well executed! Nice work How have you got around the water ingress?
-
Retrofit Heated Washer Nozzles
Surprised to learn you need to code them in! I'll just mix the screenwash slightly stronger in winter I think

Retrofit Heated Washer Nozzles
It's a £95 option from new which suggests there's not a lot of work needed to install (its £190 to enable TSR in the coding). My assumption is you'll either need the nozzles only, or the nozzles and bonnet loom to plug in somewhere near the scuttle. If someone has them and could photograph where the wires go, it'll help us all

Very interesting. I look forward to a lifetime of annoying rattles when it arrives!

Dog crate and roof rails for a 17 plate Superb MkIII Estate?
Objects flying forward in a collision have massive potential to kill or seriously injure passengers up front; I definitely prefer my dogs to be in a cage! +1 for the TransK9 cages. They also have an ability to lock the cage but leave the boot open which some people might find useful. I can also recommend the boot buddy bumper guards to stop them scratching the paint when they jump up.

vibrations above 50mph
Sounds like sawtooth / castellated tyre wear on the rear. It's relatively common on these, it can be solved by always putting the new rubber on the rear and moving the rears forward

Superb overheated when towing but was fine after it cooled down!
Yeh I've been on the receiving end of a similar conversation with mini, they generally offer a bit of goodwill eventually

Superb overheated when towing but was fine after it cooled down!
If you have a warranty then it's less of a concern!

Are you sure your fan pack hasn't died? It won't show an error (apart from the overheating) but will store a fault code. Would definitely expected to hear the fan running at 100°+ Edited to add: Taking it on a run will get air through the rad. Slow driving will show up the issue. Take it for a run and get the engine up to temperature. Pull over, keep the engine running and set the AC to LO. Does the fan kick in?

Delivery Delays
VAG were in the news last week saying the worst was yet to come with the chip shortage. Apparently they're building what they can based on the components that arrive so it's safe to say anything high spec will be pushed back. Peugeot have omitted the virtual cockpit from the 308 and all models are being built with analogue dials on the final run. Looking at the lead times above you can assume the shorter lead vehicles have a higher margin, perhaps?

Sasha’s Superb SportLine Plus Facelift
Kinda wishing I'd ordered a sportline now! A dragon green SL was my alternate choice at the time! Yours looks great. Are the rear door lights plug and play or do they need coding?

Can you force the iV to use the petrol engine.
ETA: good luck with the new car!

Can you force the iV to use the petrol engine.
Two options: Put it in hybrid and set the battery icon to max. It'll run the engine and recharge the battery at the expense of fuel economy. When you get to the city put it into hybrid auto or e mode to use more battery. Put it in sport for max performance and a slightly slower battery recharge to 50% then drop into hybrid auto or e mode when you get to the city In hybrid auto it'll use the battery under normal acceleration unless you floor it. At 40+ in hybrid auto it'll bring the ice in more frequently
