  1. Alright guys, I've had a problem with fitting. The headrest guides I ordered don't fit, I ordered 1T0883920C and 1TO883920E thinking they'd fit but they don't fit sadly. Could anyone provide a proper P/N?
  2. Yep, it's the seal as it's obviously been redone by Stevie Wonder... I commented on it when I had the door card off earlier on, but didn't think it'd be that bad.
  3. Indeed. I'm 17, so never saw the development of the Pentium first hand (besides late P4 CPUs), but my first IT experience was on a P166 system that belonged to my Grandfather around 2008/2009. That set me up for a life of wanting nice computers of a particular age. I've had a Celeron 300A, PIII 500 MHz, and then I went onto a 1.1GHz AMD Duron and a 1.8GHz AMD Duron. I've even got a 486 laptop! My custom rig is a little underwhelming, but my laptop is a pretty tricked out OMEN 15. I'm much the same. I find that putting a decently weighted computer in the rear of the car stops mine from bouncing about as much.
  4. I make sure they are. We're not at the point up here in my area where it's getting that bad, yet. Yep. It's terrifying. I usually clear as much snow off the roof as possible too as I have to stop on a downhill stretch for a T-junction so it would slide all over the windscreen.
  5. Check for corrosion or dirt at the earth strap going between the battery and the wing, if it's like the Mk1 that is. As that's where the weak spot is on mine.
  6. Yep. Changed the speakers all round since the driver's side one had blown and now my driver's side front door is leaking. Plus my interior door pull isn't sitting right, so I need to get the door card off to fix that too.
  7. I don't know if the E10 will have anything to do with it. Is it possible for a cable to have detached from one of these sensors?
  8. Why thank you. I'm a little bit rusty due to the time that has passed. It is CPU/IT related, as was intended. I used it as a username on a computing forum or two and I quite liked it, so it stuck. The first part of the username is merely how I'd have described myself at the time. Now, I use it quite often as it's simple and memorable. The Pentium CPUs were pretty good to a point, the Pentium 4 wasn't good, but all that came before it (and a couple after, but less so), I think, were good.
  9. Slightly off-topic, but it sort of makes sense. It's the same for those without a wiper on the back of a hatchback. I'd like to know how they do it because I'd be lost without the wash/wiper on the back of my Fabia...
  10. Aw Lee, my wee heart goes out to you. There's nothing worse than the feeling of being stuck and panicking, and having to do something like that, even if you know it has to be done.
  11. Hello and a warm welcome to Briskoda, Heef!
  12. Salut et bienvenue à Briskoda! Hi and welcome to Briskoda! Finally got an excuse to use the French I learned in secondary school.
  13. It sounds like one hell of a job to replace the glass, but needs must unfortunately. Better than being stranded beside your running car.
  14. Not as many IV's, but a decent enough amount for a start. Definitely a lot of Mk3 Superbs, especially in Ayr these days. It used to be the newest (some 08 reg IIRC) Mk1 Octavias up until a few years back, funnily enough
  15. I've found that Skoda still remains king down my way, Superb IV's and Mk3 Octys seem to be the most popular. Couple of older Rapids too. Anything for more people is usually 6-9 seat Peugeot or Citroen taxicabs.
  16. This may be an inconvenience actually. I'm quite taken on by the MG 5 estate as it looks pretty nice IMHO. There's a good thread on this, see here
  17. Can confirm, my Gran has a petrol Corsa of the same MY as yours IIRC.
  18. I've yet to drive a Mk1 estate, but plan on purchasing a diesel one for taking with me on holiday and to keep as a load lugger until I cannot do so. I think Skoda's decision to cancel the Mk4 estate may move customers with existing Mk1, Mk2 and Mk3 Fabia estates to either the Scala (if that suits them) or to Dacia with their Logan MCV. The new Logan has yet to be released, but the last generation looks to be quite nice, especially for the bargain price. We've got a Sandero Stepway in the family and it runs well, so I hold out hope for Dacia's Logan.
  19. Welcome back to the side of Skoda.
  20. Here are my findings... 'leccy Up!, 2016 valued at £7,500 High Up! Auto 75 Petrol, also valued at £7,500 for a 2016 model: The difference here isn't as great, but both prices are more than I'd pay considering I pay quite a bit less now. The stats entered were the same as earlier in regards to mileage etc. I tried to make it as even as possible.
  21. I'll give a bash when I return home, George. I will report my findings back to here.
  22. I will correct this later on. I hadn't taken this into consideration. Thanks
  23. I just about died when I saw it. Anything over £1,300 at this point is too much for me If I were to buy an EV then I'd like one of a Mk1 Fabia size. The Corsa-e does appeal to me in that regard but it's well out of my budget sadly.
  24. I found that the excess is greater for the diesel Furby, but it doesn't go over the cost of the EV for insurance overall however.
