No idea, he was away before I joined but I find myself going through his mad project threads. AFAIK, the Yeti needed a new engine, no?

And if BossFox was still about here he'd have probably built it!

VW ID. 3 (rear wheel drive) :First Drive by Fully Charged. Youtube vid.
Usually A-roads outside of towns that I've had to stop from 55-60 to nothing due to morons. I know what you mean though, canny have a rocking horse for a motor.

aux port not working on my fabia mk 2 estate - does it have a fuse?
Assuming it is for the in-car entertainment system, I believe it's just a cable going into the stereo. There wouldn't be any voltages, so I don't see why it'd require a fuse. You should check for a broken or cut wire between the jack-plug/port and the stereo.

Wing mirrors
Aye, I just meant that if you buy the unit then you could pinch the covers off 'em. I get that about the prices, I had a gouge in mine from a previous owner and it would have been a small fortune to get it replaced or even filled and sprayed... but I know a guy. Photos don't do the original damage justice, but the paintwork is a dead ringer and it still looks good. Yes the car was washed afterwards lol.

Battery/Alternator warning light does not always go out instantly when engine is started
Noted. I had assumed they were connected issues from your post.

The steering pump issue reminds me of when the earth strap going between the battery and the body (front wing area) wasn't making proper connection, and as such, the electrics would have a fit sometimes. There may be something deeper that I cannot provide technical assistance on however.

You're actually cheaper buying a whole mirror unit rather than getting the new covers from Ireland. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164940966935?fits=Car+Make%3ASkoda|Model%3AFabia&hash=item26673f6c17:g:IgcAAOSwnYFhU4HV https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154693650604?hash=item240475c8ac:g:GDQAAOSwe4lhi7ho

Are you able to find mirror covers from a breakers? It would just be a matter of getting them painted from there, should they be the wrong colour.

Wiper blades
I use Bosch on my Fabia and don't seem to have any issues.

MK1 vRS - Stage 2 R-Tech Tuned
I bought them for being able to have the windows down a bit in the peeing rain, which is pretty common here.

Hi and a warm welcome to Briskoda. This isn't the appropriate section for asking a question of this nature, sorry. However, a moderator should move this as soon as possible.

Fabia
Just as a side-note to the OP, if you do shear your earthing point off like a certain moron (me), then you'll be able to use a longer strap and mount it elsewhere. If you look carefully then you'll see where else it can go.

Thinking of purchasing a Fabia
Absolutely not a problem. I'm usually skulking about AutoTrader anyway.

fault code p0130
My Grandad is panicking about a shortage of turkey's. Isn't going to buy one though until the last kick once all the morons have bought them all. So instead, I'll phone the chinese

Fabia
Thank you. It kept having issues so one of the earth straps is on the strut mount, and one from my late father's long gone D-reg Nova was chucked from the battery to the one down there so it shouldn't have as many problems again.

We had tons of diesel but no petrol in most places. Which would have been great if I had bought that 1.4 TDI I looked at. Hindsight and all that.

Fabia
I wish! Turned it ever so slightly and CRACK, came clean off. It was always a tight fit so it was doomed from the start. It's now connected to another earth point down by the PAS fluid tank.
-
Fabia
Be careful with it though, mine sheared off...
-
Fabia
Yep. Mine used to mess with the PAS and the ABS, eventually stopping the use of both when the battery was dying or the earth going between the battery and body was not making good contact.
