Looking at a Mk2 Fabia Auto - 10 plate - 110k miles
That'd be a good choice for him if he doesn't need an auto for him and his partner, in my opinion, cannot make assumptions. It has electric windows all round which can be locked for when the wee yin gets older and learns how to work the magic thingy on the door card.

Looking at a Mk2 Fabia Auto - 10 plate - 110k miles
Okay, I don't have a Mk2, but I have a Mk1 and I can have a stab at answering your questions... The "1" is the base specification model. "2" being midrange and "3" being the highest of the pre-FL Mk2 Fabias. Aye that'd be a reasonable car for yourself, partner, and child. Mine can hold 4 adults and their paraphernalia easily. I can't vouch for these engines but I reckon it'll be nippier than my 64hp 1.2. MPG should be reasonable IMO. Solid little things. Haven't had much issues with crosswinds in mine to be honest, and as yours would have a heavier engine etc. That's a bit expensive IMHO given the lack of recent service (MOT doesn't equal a service), mileage, and the driver's window problem. I'd look elsewhere in that regard. Auxiliary cable area should be down by handbrake IIRC. I don't know what this engine is meant to sound like, an owner may be able to provide more insight. I highly doubt it, especially if it's a Fabia "1". You'd probably need a Mk3 Fabia with the correct options for that. Hope that helps a wee bit.

Making a Citigo vrs, up gti conversion any interest
Do it. You'll probably pull some traffic in here (like me, funnily enough).

Fuel consumption
AnnoyingPentium replied to Romanyshawky's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanOr, in some cases, putting badges on that indicate more performance, no? I'm aiming this at people with stock 5-series BMWs who stick an M5 badge set on it.

So I went and bought a Jaaaag
At least the grilles look to be of a better size IMO. The thought of the massive grilles remind me of this... Anyway...

Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!
Just shy of two hours the guy had it done in. Car was just as clean inside as before. He cleaned the rear view mirror, which was nice of him.

Emissions high
My Grandad's old Punto was living proof of that.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
Well, I've been busy... New windscreen: A trip to the tip with some things: And a milestone: Finally, just a photograph of the car: This will probably be the last update for a wee while (probably a lie, but okay), or at least until I've got some more bits to fit...

How much time do you warm-up your Felicia?
AnnoyingPentium replied to D.FYLAKTOS's topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanWith my Fabia, I tend to drive it gently until up to temp, where I'll rag it a little more...

Skoda fabia 1.2htp turbo project
As do I, BME code in my case. I don't plan on doing the same thing on mine, but it's a very interesting project nevertheless! Glad to hear it.

Cars with nice backdrops...
It needs a big run-up for hills! But yeah it does, looks as if it's going into battle, that road-end has a slight downwards slope on it, which helps convey that idea well, I think.

That's for future Ryan to worry about in my case.

Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!
Very true. I have some good predictions on what something will probably be going soon.

New windscreen is absolutely magnificent compared to the old one. No idea what will be next on my to-do list however.- MK1 vRS - Stage 2 R-Tech Tuned
We're not too different as I feel much the same. Our neighbours have a Land Rover, a Hyundai crossover, there's someone with Nissan Quashqais (two of 'em). Hell, even my Mum has a Dacia Duster. The Fabia feels like a dwarf in comparison. Lovely looking pic of the Octy btw.- Cupra Wishbone/Console Bushes
Thank you so much! I'll keep that in mind as there's a few jobs I want to be doing but haven't been able to. - Recent pics of your fabia for no reason, just stick em up!
