Middle Rear Headrest
I may just bite the bullet on it I think, the holes are pre-established on these seats IIRC.

Middle Rear Headrest
I'd like to add a middle rear headrest to the Fabia to modernise it ever so slightly. Obviously "Fabia-specific" headrests are about as common as bald eagles with toupees, so I considered one from a 9N VW Polo. Does anyone know if those fit with the holes hidden under seat fabric? My assumption is yes considering it's probably from the VAG Parts bin like most cars. I'm also planning to get a set of the headrest guides off the web with the Polo headrest since they all look the same. I've attached some photos of the headrest off the 'net. Thanks in advance. Ryan B.

Dog Harnesses
Well that went well... He calms down quicker in the back instead of the boot as he can see where he's going now with relative ease.

Suzuki Jimny
I always thought those Jimny's were cute little motors. I've got a neighbour with a 2004 one on chunky tyres and in a silver colour, totally dwarfed by his work van still!

How Does the Service Reminder Work?
I'm covered for 10k, but I reckon I'm closer to the 12 month thing. Having bought the car without service history meant that I did the service a month into owning it just to be on the safe side, but it did show signs of either low use or a recent enough service. I'll reset the warning when it comes to servicing at either 60k or April, whichever comes first for my Fabia.

Towing...
Cheers Ken. I had come across this recently and was confused as hell. I don't plan on towing anything with a 64hp Fabia as I'm not one for wanting to move slower than milk floats, but it's beneficial to know about for the future.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
Thank you! It was always there, just not in a drivable state... It's back together to the best of my ability. Dash pieces are not my friend however. Glad to hear it. I insist you make a project thread so I can watch this all unfold.

AnnoyingPentium's 2006 Fabia 1.2 12v Ambiente-ish
She lives, and lives well. New parts arrived at 11am exactly this morning, runs with a little bit of fire under it's backside now instead of feeling limp and a pain to drive. I'm a happy man. My headlights aren't that yellowed, it's just really, really cold in my part of the world.

Fabia 1.4 mpi (68hp) to 1.8t auq
I believe @Tech1e is your best port of call, having done some mad but also amazing projects involving 1.8T engines and Fabia's of a certain age...

Check all pipework for splits and other damage, especially at connection points.

Hi! New to the group and Skoda.
Hi and welcome to the forums. Glad to hear you're enjoying your Octy!

Standard radio changing
My faceplate was from Halfords, cannot quite remember how much it cost me however. I just kept the original DIN pocket area. Hoping to come across one of the little pop-out drawers soon.

1.9tdi 2001 struggles to hold 70mph on slightest hill
Holding engine revs after pressing down on clutch (would drop very slowly), severely down on power (it's noticeable, even if I had 64hp to start with ), odd idle too (wavering between 1,500 and 500rpm) sometimes wouldn't turn over either. Mine didn't show anything up, but I knew what the issue was. I don't know if that's the nature of the Fabia accelerator, but mine did (and still does) jerk when you bring your foot off the throttle. I cannot vouch for diesel Fabias having only ever driven this one and been a passenger in a 1.4 OHV many, many moons ago.

Throttle pedal position sensor? Perhaps a long shot but mine felt like s*** when the sensor was playing up. On mine, the pedal and sensor are one unit with three bolts. You have to remove the lower dash panel (or I had to, rather) to get access. I'm sure someone else may be able to advise in relation to other items which could be on their way out etc, however.

2005 VRS
It's looking good! You could do with a set of centre caps by the looks of it. These take a wee while but the older style badge ones I bought were good.

How Does the Service Reminder Work?
Cheers Ken! I'm possibly doing about 10,000 miles a year. I don't know for sure however as I haven't even had the car a year, it's just a prediction. I'll have had it a year in March '22 funnily enough.

No longer fighting my iMac G3! :)
No, it's not 2000-and-something still. Okay, if you're going to be pernickety about it, then yes, it is. It's not the noughties as we know them anymore. However, I do still have a 2001 iMac G3 Indigo/500 which I got from the secondary school I went to (long story, could be similar to Derek Wallcott's Omeros in terms of length) to save it from becoming landfill when it worked excellently. I received it with Mac OS 9.2.2, it came with OS 9.1 discs, and I foolishly installed the older version without realising until I had formatted the hard disk drive. Anyway, my issue lies within trying to install OS X Tiger 10.4.11, which it can run AFAIK. It just refuses to install, I'm either seeing loading screens or errors I can't remember the name of (I'll post when they come to me). I don't have "original OS X Tiger" installation media because it came with 9.1, thus I am burning CDs (all four) and have done multiple times for something to go wrong. I'd have used a DVD but it's only got the treacle-slow CD writer and I've got more chance of finding fangs within a chicken than I am of finding a FireWire DVD drive (won't boot from a USB DVD-ROM drive) for less than the value of my car. I had also considered using another computer as a boot device but this is my only Apple product (besides iPods and a burnt out 1995 PowerBook 190) The iMac is running Mac OS X 10.3.9 currently with it's measly 500MHz PPC processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 20GB Quantum Fireball (original) hard drive. I was hoping to run 10.4 so I could use the TenFourFox browser or equivalent, which requires 10.4 as a baseline. Now, I say this iMac works fine, but knowing my reputation, it's probably cursed or something odd like that. There's no other need for this thing to still exist beside the nostalgia factor and childhood memories I get when booting the "little" thing up, I'd just like it to be running the newest possible OS for it. Any help is appreciated, because I'm stuck for ideas.

Rob's Mk1 VRS Combi
Thank you! These motors just need a bit of love and they've probably got another while out of them! I bought Pioneers for mine, in case you're looking for speakers, the reviews said they were lacking bass, but the vibrating of the entire car (can be felt through seat bases now) begs to differ!
