  1. Was going through a box of mine that's full of photographs I took with 35mm film c.2014-2017. A lot of nice stuff too. Picked some of the best (IMO) ones to put on here. The quality has suffered a little since they're just cropped photographs from through my phone though. ^ The Jupiter Artland, Edinburgh. Praktica BCA/Pentacon 50mm 1:18 MC. Kodacolor 200 (IIRC). ^ Loch Doon (one for @roottoot), 2016 I think. Praktica BCA/Pentacon 50mm 1:18 MC. AgfaPhoto Vista Plus 200. ^ Dalmellington-Ayr Railway Line (was, and still is disused on this particular stretch), 2017. Olympus Trip AF-S 2. AgfaPhoto Vista Plus 200. ^ Mauchline, 2016. Praktica BCA/Pentacon 135mm. AgfaPhoto Vista Plus 200. ^ Bridge at Dumfries House, Cumnock, 2017. Praktica BCA/Pentacon 50mm 1:18 MC. AgfaPhoto Vista Plus 200. ^ Doonfoot Millennium Bridge, Ayr. Praktica MTL-3, Helios 44-2. Ilford HP5 Plus. ^ Belleisle Greenhouse, Ayr. 2017. Praktica MTL-3, Helios 44-2. Ilford HP5 Plus. Plenty more photos in the box (looking for my ones from Falkirk, 2016 with a cheap Minolta), but that's plenty for now.
  2. Aye I had read this, it's very unfortunate. Actually posted it in the 'saddened' thread. It happens all too frequently unfortunately. The one before this one was a boy a few years above me at school. There's been various lifebuoy rings placed up and around the loch for such an unfortunate situation these days thanks to the local councillor and the council.
  3. In my mind I'd see it as more expensive since it has to have a wee thing to change between the front and back window regulators.
  4. Now that's a new one on me. Never heard it before.
  5. Odd question... but no rear electric windows?
  6. Oh! Or the ones that have their lights pointing into the oncoming traffic. Grrrrrr.
  7. Ah yes mine has been doing that for ages. Especially behind the registration plate etc. Couple of bubbles but honestly there's worse parts on it, such as the keyed parts etc. If I cared enough I'd just swap it, but only if it has the vRS spoiler lip, ya know.
  8. I paid a fiver for mine. Does the job in exactly the same way. They've also sent me a free second one for some reason.
  9. Good spec there then! I've got the air con and some aftermarket parking sensors on mine. Got a small plushie Collie dog and a Y2K Tesco bug on the parcel shelf of mine, full spec there. Mine are 15s too. It would be a good Q-Car/Sleeper and definitely worth a project thread on it's own!
  10. Hello and welcome to Briskoda. I've also got a 2006 Fabia in presumably the same colour, if yours is also Flamenco Red like you think. I don't know what that says about me, it's in budget Grandad spec, mind you. So no heated seats here.
  11. I've got the same warning now and again, and like @totoro I just wipe the code should it come up. Doesn't seem to be affecting mine much anymore.
  12. Aye that's exactly like the one my Mum had except hers was green. I quite liked it, but she hated it since she knew what she had before.
  13. Is that from a Mk3 Astra? My Mum had one after my Dad sold her Japanese-import Celica ST205... she wasn't pleased to come back to a bottle green Astra.
  14. Must be. I've only ever seen one or two that are really much worse than any here as well. Mine and the other local ones suffer a lot since the council seem to have blown their budget on gritters so they get used nearly all the bloody time. My neighbour's old 06 was rotting a the wings, and the 2003 one I saw the other day was going in the same place as @TMB's. Mine has went like this in a matter of months as there was no rust or bubbling on it around November last year. The bodywork was rust-free on mine at the time that I bought it a year ago. It had originally came from West End Skoda, Broxburn but spent some time in Blantyre with the previous owner but only doing abour 2,500 miles a year. It's only since I took it South West that it's received a hell of a beating, with me doing about 10,000 miles a year at the moment. My plan at the moment is just to sand it back, then whack some "rust curing" stuff and maybe some primer on it after I get a quote from the bodywork place that did my mirror.
  15. As the lads say... buy cheap, buy twice.
  16. Saw one of the new Golf Mk8s today at the Tescos. Don't know how I feel about the colour, mind you.
  17. They do the same with my Granda's Sandero. I'm quite smug that I don't have roof rails on my Fabia...
  18. Might not help that scrap prices have went up with car prices overall AFAIK.
  19. Aye, Pete is right. Your options are getting another BZG, or another car really. If you have the space, then you could break up the old one for parts. Otherwise get rid of it in the best way possible, whichever that may be. Not the best news, but hope it helps.
  20. Could stick with that and also apply some black/grey plastic trim... call it the only Mk1 Fabia Scout.
  21. I checked the other side later on just before we lost daylight... Thankfully not as bad but will deal with it as well. Surprisingly my fronts are still quite good, except for the wing bubbling on the passenger side on the little lip beside the arch liner. The car has a fair share of battle scars as was outlined very far back on this thread and given how cheaply I can maybe get some decent quality panels, I may start swapping further in the future but that can wait until I have to. I really do like this car even if I slag hell out it at times, so I can justify the effort needed to keep it in decent enough nick for now. Nothing like a full-body respray or anything, I'm not made of money.
  22. The Mk1 Fabia I own in comparison to the Fiesta ST-Line I learned to drive in were very much different cars in terms of handling as you say. The Fabia is definitely softer with more body roll, usually enough for me to fall out of my seat. The ST-Line on the other hand always felt a lot more poised. Then again, that won't answer the OPs question since they've got the vRS and not the ST. You've got the nail on the head though, Mick.
  23. Definitely. My Granda had a colleague that bought a Lancia Delta. It was about three years old, he went over the speedbump at the work's car park and the thing sheared the mounts for the engine...
