  1. Aye I'd have thought the same. Maybe try changing them and seeing where that takes you. Process of elimination and so forth.
  2. She's looking good, Kenny!
  3. Sorry that you've had those issues. I've used the Vicks Sinex (Oxymetazoline) one to aid this problem a little. It's been a wee bit better recently compared to the way it was, which is nice.
  4. 271 (not on the list) is on Gumtree... https://www.gumtree.com/p/skoda/2007-07-skoda-fabia-1.9-tdi-pd-vrs130-1-owner/1420579065
  5. Hello and welcome to Briskoda! @skomaz is your fellow Sheffield-ian.
  6. My 2006 Fabia does it with a 2019 Kenwood aftermarket HU but not with my older Alpine. Could just be these modern components.
  7. Would the badge from a wheel trim fit? I know the old Skoda badges were metal and could come off with a flat-headed screwdriver from the trims.
  8. Aye that sounds about right to me.
  9. That title even confuses me a lot. Do I need to make myself known... to myself? Anyway, in this modern world of "yer smartphone can do everything fur ye" I still keep my Video iPod around for one simple reason. I like to listen to my music without people phoning me as I listen to it. It's a big gripe of mine. I had an 8GB iPod Touch 2nd Generation (still do) that I got as a present in 2008 but I opted for an older 30GB 5th generation iPod Video since I was only listening to music and I could get one with more space due to my massive iTunes library and my head unit (Alpine something or other) is only compatible with an iPod or a CD since I took my Kenwood one out due to a spate of burglaries in my area. So anyway, do other people use these still?
  10. Since the Mk4 Octy seems to be running... well? Wouldn't you be better going for a late model Mk3 instead if you still want fancy gadgetry and all that.
  11. Ooooh I do like that gearknob!
  12. I've just discovered this thread and will be following from now on. Lovely progress with the Caddy!
  13. The MG 5 is an interesting car to me, and definitely an electric car that I'd consider when the time came.
  14. Just make sure it doesn't blow up in your face, literally. If you've got a semi-decent printer and some adhesive paper then you could always print off a badge to size and stick it on.
  15. I don't put lemonade or water in the wine. That's a grammatical eff up on my part. Only in the whisky is there water or lemonade. Well said, that man.
  16. Thanks. Maybe have a whisky once or twice a month, or a red wine but never in excess and the former often has either a wee bit of water or a lemonade added. It all just depends really. I don't see the point in the idea of getting hammered every weekend to feel like death the next morning. I'm in the sticks of SW Scotland so I know of a few folk who do just that then rant about how they're "aff it" as they walk about half-dead to get some of their shopping.
  17. Was "a-salted" by a gritter this afternoon outside of Auchinleck... I'll get my coat.
  18. Much like the Corsa-e, I feel like the "E" is often forced in the names for these cars. We could've had the 'eCorsa' or the '2E8' which, to me, flows better out of the mouth.
  19. I tend not to drink if I can help it as I don't know when I'll be called out to go somewhere that involves taking the car. I don't get the fascination with drinking (especially heavily, something which is ingrained in the culture of my area sadly) to be honest.
