  1. Have some inspiration, Amanda.
  2. This is very true. Would prevent quite a few doors from getting ripped clean off.
  3. Looks a wee bit like the one from the Ford Fiesta I learned to drive in, however. Just to muddy the waters and aw that...
  4. Even the SDI engine in the Mk1 Fabia could shift better than that! So that would suggest that maybe I do have a problem with a 40hp car... The Duster is a good, solid car IMO. Our one has the 100hp petrol engine and can fairly shift. Handy for the dog too, who now prefers my Furby because he can sit on a blanket in the back...
  5. Thanks @laff82! I just need something to get in about the gaps because the dirt lies in there at times. I usually give it a rinse with the pressure washer, fire snow foam over it, rinse again. I use a 2-in-1 Halfords Wash and Wax just to get the job done if I'm doing it by hand as I don't have the time to properly detail it. I do find the power washer to be an amazing tool for getting grime out of the arches, should, in theory, help prevent rust as much as possible too. Once the car has dried I'll go in about smaller parts such as trim and the wheels to clean them with their dedicated cleaners usually.
  6. I can just see Amanda speeding through some council estates in a Type-R Civic with the hardbass blaring now...
  7. Och I've missed it getting caught up in the world of NCIS...
  8. I typically avoid Hi-Fi forums - I had (and probably still have) a Tapeheads membership which made itself useful occasionally. I'd have went FLAC fully but my iPod says otherwise, and as does the money I've spent on music on iTunes.
  9. It's a slight niggle I've had since purchasing the car in March. When washing by hand (I don't take detailing very seriously as "ain't nobody got time for that") I find that I cannot get in to clean accumulating dirt around the "FABIA" badge on the rear. The only way I can do so is with the pressure washer. Does anyone know of any cleaning tools that could get into here while keeping the paintwork good. Thanks in advance, Ryan.
  10. WMA, AAC, and MP3 at highest possible quality I can get my hands on for home use. Usually pre-recorded CDs and highest quality set streaming in Spotify for in the car these days. Haven't used it, but noted.
  11. You'd have to be brave to do that. Jesus.
  12. Nooooo not at all... well, cheers for the idea. Seriously, I'd rather wait and find out though, I'm not going to spoil this for myself.
  13. Thinking the same... no idea what it is
  14. Aye I'd say a brake disc too.
  15. Currently my level of confusion. ^
  16. I for one, think Wilberpog is a fab name. Does sound like the names my Mum gives things actually.
  17. "So I went and owned an M4" even?
  18. @ColinD, I believe your goods and/or services are required.
  19. Welcome to Briskoda! You'll be delighted to know that there's a section for these Felicia/Caddy things and their "quirks".
  20. Looks like a smashing job. I am intrigued as to whether this could be fitted to a Mk1.
  21. Would probably appeal to those looking for a motor to "pooter aboot" in once we go all 'leccy, such as the role generally filled by the Honda Jazz, Nissan Micra etc. currently.
  22. Digging this back up, as I've realised that mine has the mild green tint as far as my eyes can tell. It's perhaps quite apparent here...
  23. I have indeed, but thanks Lee. I've been using his videos for a lot of fault diagnosis. Plus, the door card one was especially useful for swapping the speakers out.
  24. Cheers, Lee! They came off of a written-off Bohemia IIRC and are needing a wee bit of TLC, but it's nothing major. I just need to hope another Bohemia pops up without a wrecked interior next time...
