Pollen Filter can only be replaced as part of a Major Service?
14 years ago, but their version of DSG 7 speeder. Don’t know if any servicing needed/done to gearbox, other than whatever done during services. Only when after a warranty sort out of gearbox madness that dealer told me of changes to service frequency, and warranty voided. Glad to get shot of it for a Kia Venga.

Pollen Filter can only be replaced as part of a Major Service?
All makes have their “we know best” and fob you off. My old Citroen C4 diesel was on a two years/20k service interval, regularly serviced at supplier. At 46k miles, the DSG decided it would be fun to change from first to fourth, when pulling away (I didn’t find it so much fun, with vehicle behind in my boot!). Took to dealer, only to be told warranty void, as Citroen had changed to annual/12k, the year before, and I had missed the last service, but hadn’t bothered telling customers.

Data Transfer Warning Message
Most surprised that members reactions are that either they don’t see the message, or no easy way to delete it. Mine does exactly the same, but not a problem as it disappears when radio etc switched on, but still annoying.

Karoq 245 45 19 tyre ?
Never bothered to look at tyre/wheel size on my Sportline, until today. Mine is 2wheel drive 1.5 DSG, first registered April 2023, and fitted with 18 inch wheels and Goodyear tyres. No complaints re ride quality from me or passengers.

Electric Tailgate
For a “one off”, you can stop the electric tailgate rising fully open, by pressing the key fob boot button. I have to do this if getting something from boot, while car in garage, as I have a low garage roof.

Karoq pictures
Got fed up with being offered “50 Shades of grey”. “The greys are very poplar - we sell a lot of them” said the salesman. They only had one orange and five greys on offer, so statistically correct!🙄

Karoq pictures
This is mine today. Close up it looks very sparkly, but not so much from a distance. Still the best orange car colour, compared to other makes.

Windows and roof self opening when parked
Can’t really see the point of it, unless getting a bit of cool air in car whilst parked. Would have thought I would hear the windows opening, being close enough for fob to be read, seeing how close you have to be for KESSY to work. Might just get it checked for any fault codes, at the dealer.

Windows and roof self opening when parked
Have to leave car outside, as new kitchen units have filled the garage!!! Thought it safest to cancel KISSY, but given myself a major problem instead. Too many keys on keyring, so understand one or more pressing on button. Thanks for that info.

Windows and roof self opening when parked
Car locked this morning, using KESSY defeat (lock with fob and immediately touch door handle outer). went out to car 4 hours later, all windows open and sunroof popped up! Any ideas?

Karoq or Octavia?
Although only done 3000 odd miles, I love the Karoq. Sport mode is great, for a SUV, very chuck able (and already got my first speeding ticket, for the Karoq that is!). My local council area is recorded as having the worst pot holes roads in Notts, but no bother for the Karoq. Only regret is not going for the 2 litre 4x4, but that is also quicker - ahem. This car should see me out, as 74, but you never know.

Karoq or Octavia?
I changed from a Subaru XV to Octavia estate, as my choccy Labrador had difficulty jumping into boot of XV. Elderly mother found folding herself in half, to get in and out of Octavia was too much, so changed to Karoq. Now back to square one, as dog cannot jump into Karoq! Must say, I preferred the Octavia (1.5 petrol SEL, DSG), but coming to terms with Karoq (Sportline 1.5 DSG) but only done 3000 miles in the year since purchase.

Thinking of getting a karoq again
One of the “extras” you might find at the dealers, is a battery conditioner/charger, prominently displayed. I got one for my Octavia, which did improve the battery, somewhat (5 years old, but only 20k miles). Yet to use it on my Karoq (2500 miles and a year old).

Thinking of downsizing from a Karoq - any recommendations please?
I usually go round as many dealers as possible, and ask the sales staff to try and build, on computer, a car to fit my requirements. Far easier than spending time navigating manufacturer’s websites. I am lucky in having just about every make dealerships within a few miles of home, though. I do have to take my 99 year old mother with me, to see if she can get in and out!😀

Corroded and Pitted Disc
Had my car serviced recently, and stated that wiper blades were worn, BUT, as Skoda replacements were just as bad from new, they had deleted the finding and I should get some elsewhere. I wonder if they would do that with the brakes?? (A very good dealer, by the way)

Seats
I would book a session with a chiropractor, before changing your car.

Is it becos it’s a Sportline, officer?
I wouldn’t rely on anyone telling me not to tell my insurance I had been on the course, but would read the insurance policy, thoroughly. If it says you have to inform them, then do it.

Is it becos it’s a Sportline, officer?
Nice letter in post today - notice of intended prosecution (NIP), for speeding! 35 in a 30 limit, caught on camera van, which I did not see. No excuse, and a quarter of a mile from home. Should be £100 and 3 points, on my otherwise clean licence ☹️

Faraday bag recommendations
Yes, I think the risk has been hyped up. I had a Subaru with Kessy for 5 years, and never bothered, then the Octavia was old school, now back with a car with Kessy. Just annoyed that the bag had given up.
-
Faraday bag recommendations
After 8 months, my faraday bag (£5 from Halfords) has stopped shielding my keys. Can now open car, start engine, drive and then lock car, with keyfob in bag. I know the fob switches off after a while, but not if walking across car park, so at risk if bag not working. I know dealer sells bags, so may get one from them. Any other bag recommendations ?

How to hold the false floor in the boot up
I still haven’t been able to remove it - think it’s been glued into place. Just too frightened of it breaking, to give it a good whack to shift it🙄
-
How to hold the false floor in the boot up
Smart! Just need a similar device on mine, with solid parcel shelf instead of retractable soft shelf.☹️

Boot board
My last three cars have all had the false boot floor, and all reacted noisily to speed humps and humpback bridges. Also reacts on some of the worse potholed roads, as well. Tried a thin layer of foam rubber, under the board where it touches at the edges, which at least quietens the thump.

Karoq paddle extenders
Fitted paddle extenders to my Scooby XV, and they greatly improved their feel. Plenty of hills in my neck of the woods (and speed cameras and mobiles), so find the paddles most useful.

Vibration
After 7 months, my Karoq has developed a vibration. It is only noticeable when pulling away, and stops when over 5mph. Being deaf in left ear, I can’t place it, but passengers say it is on my side of the car. Have emptied all cubby holes, but still there. I expect something has been disturbed, following a hit on a pothole.☹️ At least I can drown it out with some loud music.
