  1. As an aside to this topic I believe there is a setting in your dash cameras where it will power down from standby when the voltage limit you set is reached (say 12.2v)
  2. Agree with what @Warrior193 states above Your video shows these multiple errors as the voltage is too low for the modules to communicate effectively
  3. It appears your battery is low/not being charged sufficiently, I'm replacing my car battery as I'm seeing a few issues and a couple of non start's in these long cold winter nights
  4. Had the fabia 3 year coated this week
  5. We've opted for a pair from Halfords (Draper) thanks for the feedback
  6. @Snowglobe another reason to simply mark the old filter (sharpie etc) if you don't have confidence with your service provider
  7. Yes I've had Sealey stands previously (owned landrover defender for 15 years so used regularly 🤣) wish I'd kept them Thank you for the response 👍 There is a lot of Chinese ones available but I won't trust the quality of them
  8. As two of our grandchildren are keen to maintain there vehicles (1 being an ageing freelander 1) it has become apparent that good quality safe axle stands may be part of Santa's delivery this year. Do the good folks on here have any recommendations? As ever any information appreciated
  9. Mine is a fabia mk2 2014 No links, but in broad strokes. I used the haynes manual, remove steering wheel air bag Remove steering wheel Disassemble the cowl around steering column Remove stalks fit new stalks re assemble steering wheel and airbag No coding etc required
  10. Sounds like the stalk switch is failing, it does happen, dirt and debris build up causing the malfunctions. I replaced my wiper and indicator stalk (along with the clockspring) this year (sourced from Ebay), probably 40 minute job but I'm familiar with this type of disassembly etc An auto electrician should take circa 30 minutes
  11. Hi and welcome Plenty of information and Skoda knowledge on theses forums
  12. @Breezy_Pete fantastic help as ever 🙂
  13. Easy windows will require resetting, open them and press the close button and keep it pressed for a couple of seconds after the window has closed (you may here a "click") do this for each window and convenience windows should be re-instated Keeping the unlock button pressed on the fob will open the windows, keeping the lock button pressed will lock the car and close the windows (need to keep button pressed until the windows are fully closed)
  14. Hello and welcome to the forums

    Welcome 👍
  16. My last two vehicles owned for 19 years and 18 years, current fabia owned for 4 years hopefully for another 10, all bought and paid for, I agree that this must be the most sustainable / green 🙄 way of ownership. Keep them well serviced and clean
  17. Which is ??? Further info would be gratefully received
  18. It's a flap on your intake, gravity should drop it down when stationary, inrushing air keeps it open during driving to allow cooling air into the engine bay, it does look like yours has become detached on one side ? Probably ok to tape up to see if it cures your rattle. then further investigation (top of intake off) and see if a clip has broken.

Hello and welcome to the forums, loads of knowledge on here
  20. Yes it was a case of lifting car, removing intercooler pipe (blocking off intercooler so it didn't get drained coolant in it), bottom radiator hose off followed by flushing a number of times with hosepipe and pressurising with compressed air to purge as much as possible. Finally slowly refilling the system with 50% "violet" antifreeze and distilled water, took the opportunity at the same time to fit a new coolant expansion tank
  21. Hmmm, Had undertray off today, no sign of a radiator drain and lower hose is all but inaccessible, replaced the expansion tank but will be taking the Scabia to my indi to drain flush and renew. violet/red antifreeze and distilled water.
  22. 2014 cthe 1.4 VRS is there a drain tap on the bottom of the radiator ? if not what is the best way to drain the cooling system as I want to renew the coolant (G12) before winter. I'm taking the opportunity to fit a new coolant expansion tank at the same time As ever, any assistance welcomed
  23. Welcome to you and Jerry 🙂
  24. My 2014 1.4 is a bit lumpy on start (and always has been in my 4 years of ownership), the fuel map is enrichened and timing auto adjusts for approx. the first 30-45 seconds and then all is good
