  1. The solution is easy, I have done it before on a VW Polo that I also have. So 2 cables were needed. 1st cable for the positive current that I connected directly to the 2.5mm cable that brings current to the window motor. 2nd cable for the negative and essentially the operation command. The connection was made to the plug of the lock which has a cable with a signal for when it is closed or not. Attention on the right door the pin is the 5th while on the left it is the 2nd Then we will need to make the opening for the lamp to enter. We measure the light fixture and accordingly make the opening in the lower part of the investment. There is enough space. Be careful not to make the opening large, so it is better to make it a little smaller at first and then with a straight file to open it as needed. I also put paper tape to protect the rest of the plastic from scratches.
  2. First a little study was done on the electrical diagrams of the doors.
  3. I own an Octavia MK4 2023. I decided to add entrance lights to the rear doors as well. As is known, SKODA does not have this possibility from the factory. So I would have to improvise. Materials we will need. 2 lamps, I chose from Ali projector lamps with the SKODA logo. 2 plugs for the lamps. His code is: 893971632. Cable at least 0.35mm thick Fabric tape to make the result more factory-like.
  4. Hello there. I am thinking to do the same think. I have some questions, I would appreciate it if you could answer them. 1st, the height of the factory speakers is about 48 mm. The height of the Focal IS VW 165 is approximately 38mm. Did you add extra spacers to reach 48mm? 2nd did the 165 fit normally? I ask because Focal recommends 155 at least for the Golf 8.
  5. The final result Excellent result. There is an application where via Bluetooth you can change the color and intensity of the lighting. I love it. It has 2 zones, one for the dashboard and the second for the footwell lights (if you want to fit them)
  6. Well i did it my way. I bought a set (ambient light) from Aliexpress with nice LED strips, very narrow and with smooth light effect. So i remove the dash trim inserts. It's pretty easy, you just pull them out of the dash. I will show you the procedure for the small one (from the driver's side) The trim : I cut and attached the LED strip with VHB 3M double side adhesive tape Ready for the installation: The wiring: I decided to put the main module under the central console. so i hid the wires under the driver's foot mat
  7. Since I find it almost impossible to manage to retrofit the official interior ambient lighting equipment, I'm thinking of installing something like this. Car Ambient Lights RBG 64 Color Interior Acrylic Strip Light Guide Fiber Optic Interior Decoration Atmosphere Lamp 18 In 1 LED (aliexpress.com) I've actually had it in my hands for a while now. I really like the lighting performance. Stable and uniform lighting with many colors as a selection from the mobile phone via bluetooth. The installation, at least for the front part (dashboard), seems to me to be easy, the plastics come out easily without special tools. What do you say;
  8. thank you for the answer. I am familiar with this procedure, i have ODIS S, ODIS E and a 5054A cable. I didn't know that it would also need upload dataset. I thought that all that was needed was a change in the coding and in the adaptations of the BCM. But I still don't know if all BCMs support this function or BCM module change is also needed. Could you give me more information please ?
  9. Sure, thank you very much. Please tell me what is the equipment of your car? (e.g. footwell lights with 30 colors, ambient lights, ACC...)
  10. i am still looking for this upgrade. Can anyone with ambient and footwell lights share the 09-BCM and 5F-infotainmentadaptations? It's something you can do with the VCDS cable in 5 minutes. Thank you.
  11. I have used the second one and it works great. This was the previous state of infotainment
  12. Sorry to hijack the thread, but I have a similar, or to tell the truth the opposite problem. Today I put fuel with the needle of the fuel gauge being very low, almost empty, I filled the tank and the needle did not reach the full limit. I put about 43 liters of fuel, which means it was well filled. It got (the needle) to the middle and then slowly went up until about 4/5 and stayed there. A colleague of mine with a similar car had the same problem, the needle almost didn't move from low and in the end there was also a problem with the DPF filter since with an empty tank the engine does not start regeneration of the filter. Has anyone noticed the same problem?
  13. I don't know for sure, but it worth to give it a try. Just press the power button for 15 seconds or more. (4) Skoda Bolero MEN3 (MIB3 Entry) force reboot / system restart - YouTube
  14. Great DIY, thank you so much. I will be using this guide to do the same on my Octavia MK4. I checked the diagrams and the connections are the same.
  15. To add an information. I owned a 20023 TDI (110KW) with 7 speed DSG. The code for the transmission is "0IJ" "Installation differentiation for transmission DQ381"
  16. I purchased that. It has a lot of information. 3 euros, a great price. Thanks for the tip @Carlston
  17. Thank you. Very useful link. Probably, I will buy it.
  18. How can anyone can find the specs of his car ? (color number, extras etc.)
  19. I'm looking for the specific sticker that has the equipment codes, etc. I looked in the car but couldn't find it. In the past I had several cars from the VW group, I found this sticker in the trunk, usually near the spare wheel. Now I can't find it. Where could it be?
  20. So, I'm ready to buy a used steering wheel with the travel assist button and of course the "touch unit". As I read, after replacing the steering wheel there should be some coding and that's it. No FEC from dealer and stuff like that. I am right ? My car doesn't have ACC, just the classic cruise control.
  21. Anyway, i would like to search how to activate the Light Assist. If it is a matter of coding and adaptation, i can do it with OBDeleven, or VCDS or ODIS But i don't know it is possible without FEC codes. Anyone knows something about it ?
  22. Probably is the Care Connect (gives you the ability to check the car from distance through an application) Mine has the Light Assist, Traffic Sign recognition, Navigation. Free for the one month, then you have to pay for unlimited time usage.
  23. Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate it a lot.
