  1. The procedure seems to be easy. A lot of screws and some clips. My advice is to remove the rear lights, (it's not nessesery but it will help you with the clips (No1, 2, 5, 6)
  2. Hello, besides the materials needed, what else will be needed to complete such a retrofit? Will I need to purchase an FEC license or is it just a matter of coding etc.?
  3. Small update I saw on the internet that there is a small LED light on the center console. This is it. As you can see there is a small opening and inside there is a LED. Mine of cource didn't have that light, there was only the opening So, i did a small LED RGB light from a LED stripe that i have. I removed the cental vents , it's just a snap, there's no screw or anything like that. There is a small thread about that Anyway, i upload again my photo. As I have described, I have already installed interior lighting in my own way. I also connected this LED there (it is 5V) I did the wiring. Αnd installed the LED whichever way I thought would be best. And this was the result. I didn't like the intensity of the light, so I decided to put a white acrylic piece in front of the LED. This is the result Μuch better, and the appearance is like the factory one Some photos from the lighting, in the evening. In reality, it is lower in intensity than what is shown in the photos. I am extremely happy with this result as well.
  4. Do you have an OBD11 device ? How do you intend to do the coding ? Lane Keep - remember last setting: Driver assistance (module A5) > long coding > Configuration for lane departure warning KI15 > change to "last setting" I do not know for the others you asked.
  5. Ok, i did it for the record, there are 4 clips on the underside of the vent, (actually the vent cap) that need pressure to come off.
  6. The central vent (No2 on the photo you posted). Τhe instructions just say you remove it, obviously by pulling it. But I don't know exactly how to do it and I'm afraid I might do some damage. Thanks. Yeς, I saw several photos on the internet to understand how it connects. I don't see any holes for screws, it must be with a clasp. But I don't know where to grab it to pull it.
  7. Has anyone managed to remove the central grill? I want to remove it to put in ambient light but I'm not sure how to pull the part.
  8. Sorry my friend, I can't do it. Maybe you should find a friend near you who can make the wiring for you.
  9. Hello, i didn't change the fuse. I don't think it's a good idea somebody change the fuse. For crimping I have a special tool, something like that. The connection with the terminal is fine using this tool. If you don't have such a tool, you can try to solder the wire with the terminal pin just to make sure the connection is secure.
  10. Just regular aluminum rivets, with a rivet tool.
  11. i am afraid you have to use a rivet tool. There is no other way to fix speakers at the doors. Αt least I could not install them with screws even though I tried, because the sheet metal around the perimeter has configurations, it is not flat to put some kind of metal nut from the back side.
  12. Version 1696 is already uploaded to the well-known site
  13. Take a look at that product (from Aliexpress) Car Wireless Charger 15W Fast Charging Pad Anti-skid Mat Holder with LED Atmosphere Light for iPhone 13 14 Samsung S22 S21 - AliExpress or this 120W Silicone Pad Stand Wireless Charger Car For iPhone15 14 13 12 Xiaomi Samsung Huawei Mobile Phone Fast Car Wireless Charging - AliExpress they seem to fit the center console. I am thinking of buying one of these.
  14. Could you please give us more information about this ?
  15. Thanks for the answer. I've written that I don't want to spend any more money on Octavia's sound, but as you can see, I'm getting caught up in crazy thoughts. To be honest I don't know what to do. In my personal car (my wife's), a 2016 Polo, I just changed the speakers in the doors and the sound improved a lot. I actually put in cheaper speakers, the Pioneer TS-a1600c, but the change was very intense (for the better). I expected something like that in Octavia, but it didn't happen.
  16. i am thinking of buying this amp https://www.ldlc.com/en/product/PB00208200.html Focal Impulse 4.320 what do you think ?
  17. sorry, I can't do that, especially from a photo. You must seek professional help from the store where you will buy the amplifier. There they should help you with the wiring and how to connect it.
  18. for sure you need another wiring. The wiring needs to have thew quadlock, something like this
  19. Yes I did it. as far as my hand could reach from the opening of the speaker, I put soundproofing inside, especially in the area near the speaker. I'll wait a little while, maybe I'll get used to this sound quality and see for later. I don't want to give more money for the sound at this stage, I just expected a little better result from the speakers. Anyway, the sound quality is improved, the bass is clear where needed and the resolution is satisfactory. The original speakers are quite cheap in their quality, it seems if you compare them with FOCAL side by side.
  20. After a few days and 20 hours of using these speakers, i think I'm not satisfied with the sound of my car. Of course it's better than with the original speakers, but it's not at the level i want. Thanks for the suggestion using a small DSP amplifier. I have never had to use a similar amplifier. Usually in the cars I use, (I have leased cars for 4 years) I change speakers and the result is satisfactory. But I can't say the same about the OCTAVIA.
  21. No, with the specific original file. I will post the link. I don't know if it is OK by the forum rules. If it isn't please tell me to delete it immediately. Update size is almost 10Gb MIB3OI_1969.txt
  22. Hi, i just did the update to the 1969 version. Finished successfully. I didn't get to see anything about the new version, I just installed it. I will update as soon as I use it for a few hours and I have impressions.
  23. Yes this is now the most important question. Well, for sure it is better than the original speakers. Clear sound and more bass. But i am still missing the loud bass. I know, i couldn't find it without a subwoofer. I am happy with that kit, the sound quality improved, without becoming great. To be honest I don't know if it's really necessary. I noticed the height difference between the factory and the kit speakers and after the foam solution failed, I made the spacers. I ordered them from a carpenter of course, neither can I, I can do something like that myself.
  24. It seems there were 2 problems. Reverse polarity and foam pressure.
