Škoda Favorit - 1.8T AGU Swap
Soooo...Change of plans, typical...😂 I ended up getting a complete Bosch ME7.5 wideband ECU and harness. I also got DQ250 DSG transmission with complete wiring, axles, etc. Technically, my Favorit will have 200hp+ and DQ250 DSG transmission. I also got ATE MK60 ABS system since that is the ABS you got to have so DSG can run smooth and engage clutches smoothly from a standstill. I will also have ESP/TCS what basically means if I start to skid while tuning in a corner the ABS will react and stop me from spinning out/crashing, traction control, etc. I will also have cruise control and MFA aswell, I will be using complete indicator stalk from my Golf 4. I will be posting pictures in a couple of weeks because I have a lot of work to do and I do not have the time for my Favorit😂

I am so sorry I did not post anything for a while...I had other things to do and I paused the "Favorit 1.8T AGU Swap" project. THE PROJECT IS NOW RESUMED!!!😁 Since the last time I adapted Škoda Superb Mk1 (3U, 2.8 V6) gauge cluster on Bosch M3.8 ECU from my 1.8T AGU. Bosch ME3.8 does NOT have CAN communication with the gauge cluster, so I made my own CAN network for the cluster. I enabled some functions, converted PWM RPM signal from M3.8 to CAN network on Superb cluster. The Superb cluster is also adapted to fit in a Felicia dashboard. I also changed the color of the cluster backlight. Here are some pictures of the wiring loom to use the Superb cluster on Felicia cabin wiring loom without any cutting of the existing wires.

Škoda Favorit - 1.8T AGU Swap
So the Superb cluster arrived, I coded it to my ECU and made custom EEPROM program for needle sweep, changed the mileage to match my Favorit and I disabled the immobilizer (Not in video, I did it later). I also changed the backlight to white, I will post pictures in couple of days. You can check it out on my YouTube. I still need to make it fit in Felicia cluster, but I do not have the time because I am working on a transplant of my 1.4 AFH Hybrid engine into my friends 1991 Skoda Favorit. Video link -

Almost finished with adapting Octavia Mk1 cluster to Felicia dashboard, I just need to do a finish black coat, also found myself a Superb Mk1 cluster with FIS display and it supports needle staging so I ordered it, it should arrive in couple of days. 3rd picture is from Superb.

Yes, 02A gearbox and I am going to convert it to 02J shifter, but in the future I will try to find 02M 6 speed gearbox and swap it with that, maybe I will try to find it before I do the swap, its kind of hard to find 02M gearbox for cheap, they go for 300€ and up🙄

I am in the process of fitting Mk1 Octavia gauge cluster to Felicia dashboard. I already changed backlight LEDs and adapted mileage to my Favorit chassis (127 000km). More pictures soon. I coded the cluster to have ABS and some other things, yes, I am planning on installing ABS from my Golf 4 GTI in my Favorit😃

Hello everyone! I will be doing a Favorit swap with an 1.8T AGU engine from my Golf 4 GTI. I need a full pinout of original Felicia 1.6 (1997, pre-facelift) gauge cluster plugs (Black, yellow and a white one). I have already swapped in a 1.6 AFH/AVY engine hybrid, but its just still too slow for me and I always wanted a Favorit with 1.8 Turbo engine. I am going the legal route, I have all documentation from Golf 4 for TUV. So basically I have Favorit Silver line with Felicia dashboard, Felicia wiring harness (whole car), hybrid Polo engine, Felicia Power steering and Felicia AC system. Thats why I need pinouts for those 3 plugs for the Felicia 1.6 cluster I mentioned above in this post. Feel free to ask any questions!

I agree with you, I had the same problem with burned out connector at the resistor pack so @MattBon should check that first.

I will just move the fan housing to the right side above the brake master cylinder, offset if you know what I mean. I will post some pictures in a couple of days so you can see exactly what I mean.

I will be refitting original interior cooling/heating fan since it did not fit because of the engine, I temporarily fitted server fans to get around the problem. My cooling system is in tip-top shape, the needle never goes higher than the middle of the gauge.

Different steel wheel size(s)
Wider rim size makes your ride quality better for sure. The difference is only 1 inch, but better then nothing. About the ET, the difference is only 2 milimeters, not significant.

That Sparco steering wheel is removed, I bought a brand new one. I also did some testing, the brand (manufacturer) of the switch makes a big difference.

Favorit - Lowering with Springs and Shock Absorbers [TUV]
Hello, I would like to lower my Favorit, I found a set of H&R lowering springs (35mm front and rear) new for 280 euros, but I am also interested in buying some better shock absorbers if there are any with TUV certificate. Just to make it clear, I only need parts with TUV certificate because I want to "legalize" the parts on the Favorit.

Just a short video of the AC I made for YouTube Shorts - I will also be re-fitting old blower assembly for the interior, I will have some time in the end of this month I guess, I am currently working on a Nissan Patrol Y60 M57 swap so I do not have enough time for the Favorit and after that I will be doing a swap on my friends Volvo S40 T4. I will also put a new coolant radiator [NRF or Nissens] just because its about 50 euros, better be safe than sorry, the old one is kinda corroded, I just wanna have a "peace of mind". I need to change the radiator fan because the old one has a damaged resistor for the 1st fan stage so its always running on 2nd stage (full speed) when thermoswitch closes. (only single pole thermoswitch currently). I also finally found a "double" thermoswitch which suits me, the original one was faulty so I wanted to buy a replacement one but the 1st stage was 105°C and 2nd 112°C which is just too high temperatures for my taste. New thermoswitch I found has specs of 1st stage at 87°C and 2nd stage at 93°C which is completely fine and good.

Felicia Combi 1.3 - what oil?
I would reccommend 10W40 if your engine is in very good shape and you live in a colder climate. But personally I would use 15W40 because 1.3 engine is quite old tech (OHV-Pushrod engine) and the tolerances are not that good comparing to newer engines.

The difference is in exhaust gas flow and thats it. 55mm is more then enough for 1.3/1.6 mpi and 1.9d

There is no point in buying any of those mufflers, they are just too expensive and chinese ****. Do you want to have a "performance" sound? If you do just get a resonator from a junkyard from any car and have it welded on your Felicia/Favorit.
