  1. This only applies to vehicles with "Stop/Start" technology.

How old is the battery? I think this may well get worse before it gets better and start including other symptoms like starter goes "clunk" but does not turn engine after car is left overnight.
  3. You could try telling us what the fault code(s) are, rather than expecting us to be psychic.
  4. Slightly surprised; I honestly thought the description sounded more like "no stat".
  5. Many moons ago I had an RHD Citroen ZX. It only had a right hand rear fog light. I only had to remove the LHR cluster and cut a bulb hole in the reflector to get 2 working rear for lights.
  6. I think removed is more likely than failed if the car never reaches 90C. Experience with failed 'stats suggests slow warm up, but to normal operating temperature.
  7. No, but I am certain that there is a picture of the block missing from your OP.
  8. LOLROFHMS!! The only cars I've ever driven that did not have separate hydraulic or friction dampers for every wheel were hydropneumatic Citroens, and one 2CV that had one damper and spring operating on each side.
  9. @chrisdodge - Based on doing similar in the UK, and presuming you want to be able to use the same car for "speed hillclimb" (and/or sprint and/or auto gymkhana), notes on your shopping list:- 0) I don't know Greek rules in detail, but in the UK the starting point is to carefully read the RAC "Blue Book" and relevant championship regulations. Do this before spending out any money beyond getting the car. Roll Cage - Get an FIA weld in cage. It will cost more initially, but be legal right up to international rallying. New Steering Wheel - Get one with a quick release hub. Same reasoning. Bucket Seats - Again, make sure they're FIA approved. Same reasoning. Battery to the back conversion New less restrictive air filter - Save your money; the stock filter and box will flow about twice the air the 1.4MPI needs. New less restrictive exhaust - Check whether or not any new system will pass championship and/or venue(s) noise regulations. Abs delete and new brakes - Brake refresh with competition pads is a good idea; ABS delete may be essential or illegal depending on championship rules. ac delete - Rally cars often retain a/c in Mediterranean countries. Suspension - Again check what's legal for your championship. Underfloor Covers - Similarly engine cover delete - This may be just undo 3 bolts and put the plastic cover on a shelf.
  10. Try using the VIN or the engine code instead of the registration number?
  11. Now guess why "Carefree" is on my ignore list.
  12. Well, 16x6.5 with 205 width tyres would fit, but would normally be an estate rather than a hatch.
  13. OK, from what you've added, the aeriation will have cured itself by the next time you see the car. Just drain the excess oil and it will be drivable. I can't say for sure about engine damage since I can't inspect the car at all, but the most possible damage is oil starvation on the main bearings, big ends and around the camshaft.
  14. Well AIUI the DSG and Haldex have not been serviced to SUK recommendations.
  15. Likewise. Also, manoeuvring an automatic on a hill requires more precise throttle control because you don't have a clutch.
  16. The only certain and legal method of avoiding or minimising increases in premium on your cars in this situation is to remove her from your policies at renewal time.
  17. Ok, I've introduced legal paragraph numbers. That's a lot. There's a real possibility of oil aeration, affected directly by engine speed. Yes. Remember I only know what you tell me about the situation. Well, that's not too bad, based on cars I've driven you may not have exceeded 2_000rpm?
  18. @Marcrcc @Berisford has that backwards. ET45 will stick inwards 2mm more than ET43. The only issue I can even possibly see with that is if you also fit a wider section tyre.
  19. Irrelevant. Damage over that sort of distance is more likely to be things like air whip from the big end bearings splashing in the sump, and is aggravated by engine speed, not road speed. So we need to know how much (other than "too much") oil you put in, and the highest engine speed used.
  20. Those are six spoke wheels, I believe part of the package for the Skoda challenge rally cars back in the day.
  21. Blanking off one of the holes in the floor stamping as per @pab567 illustration. You may well find a roughly circular wet patch in the carpet.
  22. No idea, but this is typical of the standard of "service" offered by Skoda main stealers.
