  1. Data that is missing from autotrader would be the date the car was built too. Some cars are relatively old when registered. It is useful to check the vin and even model year against the registration plate. vehicle can only be considered new if it: has not been permanently registered in any other country has not been sold for retail (this is where a vehicle is sold between non motor traders) has reasonable delivery mileage is a current model or a model that has stopped being produced in the last 2 years
  2. My Enyaq doesn't have paddles.. Has a B mode where it genbrakes as soon as you take your foot off the accelerator. Otherwise it's Automatic only applies if you touch the brake pedal or to keep it at cruise control speed going down hill. otherwise it would freely roll down hill increasing speed I don't use B, i prefer the benefit of the coasting.

  5. Upgraded in 2022 so unless it's a late registered 2021 build it should be 125kw capable
  6. Struggled to open the charging flap this morning. Thought maybe frozen so used a hair dryer at 1/2 hourly intervals and after two hours it opened. Could feel and hear the solenoids firing. Does the black post spin to lock into the flap? Should i grease the base of it or end or grease the slot in the flap? Or is it a sign it's going to let me down?
  7. I use one key until the battery low message appears, then put a new battery in it and swap to using the fob in the drawer.

  13. No, factory fitted options aren't classed as changes to manufacturer's standard specification. A change to manufacturer's standard specification is anything made after the car leaves the factory. https://www.lv.com/car-insurance/are-factory-fitted-options-classed-as-changes-to-my-car
  14. In 2023, the United Kingdom became the world’s first major economy to halve its emissions relative to 1990 levels. UK cars on the road 1995 21,394,103 2023 there were 41.2 million licensed vehicles in the UK
  15. The majority of the fuel efficiency development was in the 70s -80s due to the fuel crisis, the last thirty years has seen most of research and development being focused on emissions which has been significantly improved.
  16. For Diesel engines efficiency went down as more and more exhaust mitigations were added.
  17. No faff involved if you have the phone, just push a button a few minutes before you go to the car. Or for regular work mornings, set the car to be ready to leave at your usual time. If plugged into house it has no effect on the battery. If it's not the wattage use is not huge. Or use de-icer like ICE drivers do.
