Skoda Felicia Understeer
Stonekeeper replied to a post in a topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda FormanThose that are along the carriageway. If they are across it, it would be a Stop. Along the left side are usually in Clearways, where stopping is prohibited? In the centre, usually double with breaks when it is deemed it may be safe to overtake Protecting Bus Lanes Protecting hatched areas at exits/entrances to slip roads. (people leaving a Motorway late or early for example?) There are exemptions i.e to pass objects traveling less than 10mph and to enter premises on the other side of the road/bus lane. But generally if you cross a solid white you risk a fine..

Skoda Felicia Understeer
Stonekeeper replied to a post in a topic in Skoda Favorit, Skoda Felicia, Skoda Fun and Skoda Forman1.In the UK crossing a Solid white line is an offence 2. in the UK Speed limit signs (red circle) are not "do this speed by this point" it is "maximum speed after that point". So accelerating up to the sign would fail your driving test. Greece may have different regulations? Understeer happens when you try to take a corner too fast

Wolfsburg. The Volkswagen Group increased its deliveries in 2023 by 12 percent to 9.24 million vehicles. All regions contributed to this growth, with Europe (+19.7 percent) and North America (+17.9 percent) being the main drivers. China, the Group's largest single market, grew by 1.6 percent despite a challenging market environment. The Volkswagen Group expanded its market share in Europe as well as North and South America and thus also increased slightly worldwide. Almost all brands recorded growth, in some cases substantial. SEAT/CUPRA achieved the highest increase in the passenger car segment with a rise of 34.6 percent, while MAN led the way in the truck segment with an increase of 37.1 percent. At the same time, the Volkswagen Group successfully continued its transformation and delivered 771,100 fully electric vehicles. This corresponds to an increase of 34.7 percent compared to the previous year. The share of all-electric vehicles in deliveries rose to 8.3 percent compared to 6.9 percent in 2022. https://www.volkswagen-group.com/en/press-releases/volkswagen-group-posts-solid-growth-in-deliveries-in-2023-and-strong-increase-in-all-electric-vehicles-18057 Toyota enjoyed a second successive year of record-breaking new vehicle sales in 2023. End-of-year results show group sales – Toyota and Lexus passenger cars and light commercial vehicles combined – reached a new high of 145,142 units, securing a 6.47 per cent market share. Toyota passenger cars commanded a new record share of the retail market, at 7.19 per cent with 62,020 sales, while business and fleet car sales totalled 47,395 units, giving the brand 4.56 per cent of the market. https://media.toyota.co.uk/toyota-sales-surge-to-new-record-in-2023/ The latest data shows that Tesla continues to dominate, but its market share is shrinking as competitors roll out new models. Since January 2022, for example, Tesla's share of the EV market fell from 72% to 54% — and it will likely slide below 50% in the next month or two, says Tom Libby, associate director of industry analysis at S&P Global Mobility. Tesla's Model S sedan, in particular, has been struggling. Registrations for the S plummeted 75% in January 2023, while those of Mercedes-Benz's new EQS sedan quadrupled. Where it stands: Tesla's Model Y and Model 3 hold the largest market share and are still growing, but rival cars are quickly gaining ground. General Motors' Chevrolet Bolt is the most popular non-Tesla EV, with a 10% share — due in part to a $6,000 price cut following a damaging battery recall. Volkswagen's ID.4 and Ford's Mustang Mach-E rounded out the top five EVs registered in January by market share. Reality check: Less than 1% of the 279 million cars and light trucks on American roads are electric. Even in California, the country's leading EV market, they represent just 2.6% of all registered automobiles. It will take a couple of decades for the slow transition from gasoline to electric vehicles to be complete. https://www.axios.com/2023/04/05/tesla-ev-electric-vehicle-adoption- The MG 4 and 5 EV and Maxus vans - Game changing cars & vans from SAIC

The tripling referred to is not the total ved raised by the changes. The current income from VED is £7.4bn In the year 25/26 the dragging in of EVs to paying ved will add £516m to the VED collected. By 27/28 the number of vehicles by then having to pay £10 a week ved will add £1.6bn That is tripling? Mainly created by the fiscal drag of calling an expensive car £40,000 in 2017 and that still being the figure ten years later in the projected benefits.- The MG 4 and 5 EV and Maxus vans - Game changing cars & vans from SAIC
VED changes in 2022 autumn statement will result in a tripling of the ved take? At Autumn Statement 2022, Chancellor Jeremy Hunt announced that, from 1 April 2025, zero-emission cars, vans and motorcycles will become liable for VED, ending the current exemption. These cars will also become liable to pay the expensive car supplement. Zero-emission car owners will pay the lowest first-year rate of VED (£10 for 2023/24) and then pay the flat standard rate (£180 in 2023/24) from the second year onwards. The Treasury said that the reforms will raise £515 million in 2025/26, rising to £1.6 billion in 2027/28- The MG 4 and 5 EV and Maxus vans - Game changing cars & vans from SAIC
Of the 32.2 million cars licensed in Great Britain at the end of 2021, 18.7 million were petrol powered (the same number compared to the previous year), 11.2 million were diesel powered (down 3 per cent compared to the previous year) and 2.3 million alternatively-fuelled (up 43 per cent compared to the previous year). Source: Department for Transport table VEH1103 By the end of June 2023, petrol and diesel cars still dominated British roads. In fact, 59% of cars on the road were petrol and 35% were diesel. In terms of real numbers, there were 19,243,306 petrol cars and 11,498,138 diesel cars registered in the UK in 2023. There are 7% fewer diesel cars on the road now compared to two years ago. How about electric or plug-in hybrid electric cars? In mid 2023 there were 2,718,386 EVs in the UK, a 14X increase since 2014. In June 2023, 8.3% of cars in the UK were fully or partially fueled by electric power. Hybrid electrics are by far the most popular, with 1,468,350 on the road in 2023. https://www.nimblefins.co.uk/cheap-car-insurance/number-cars-great-britain- the truth about electric cars

INEOS Chemicals Grangemouth (INEOS O&P UK), INEOS FPS and Petroineos signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Acorn CCS Project to work together to develop Scotland’s first carbon capture and storage system linking Scotland’s industrial heartland to the Acorn CO2 transport and storage system in North East Scotland by 2027. Investment at the Grangemouth site will enable the capture and storage of approximately one million tonnes a year of CO2 from Grangemouth by 2030, with the scope to capture further significant volumes beyond this date. Once operational the proposed carbon capture and storage system will further increase emission reduction at the site to more than 50% compared with 2005. The FPS is managed in accordance with a Pipeline Integrity Management Scheme (PIMS). This documentation system meets the requirements of all relevant regulations. We define clear accountabilities and responsibilities for integrity management within the FPS. Regular integrity management reviews take place with our operating and inspection authorities and we review our operation and integrity data annually with the Health and Safety Executive. The forecast operational lifetime of the FPS pipelines is reviewed by us regularly and we expect the system to be available to at least 2040. The pipeline integrity strategy of the FPS is to inhibit internal corrosion and we have been successful in sustaining negligible corrosion rates. Our inspection data demonstrates the success of this strategy and we see no reason to expect that the pipeline life of the FPS will not extend beyond 2040. We will continue to invest heavily in the FPS to maintain required integrity and availability performance to end of life.- The MG 4 and 5 EV and Maxus vans - Game changing cars & vans from SAIC
Doesn't look like any plans to close soon? Since 1975, the Forties Pipeline System ("FPS") has been the vanguard of the UK's North Sea oil and gas industry – safely transporting and processing billions of barrels of crude oil. Under INEOS' ownership the FPS enters a new phase in its lifecycle underwritten by a strategy encompassing three key elements: Sustainability, Investment and the local Community. Our 2040+ goal requires targeted investment in the infrastructure, critical to ensuring we are still operating efficiently, safely and sustainably for the next twenty years and beyond. In 2018 we announced a £500million strategic investment in the FPS to reconfigure the system, extend its life and continue to support North sea oil and gas production, sustainably, into the longterm. https://www.ineos.com/businesses/ineos-fps/strategy/ Ineos also https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/ineos-selects-magna-build-small-electric-4x4-2026- the truth about electric cars
