RacingLine lowering springs
Looks fantastic. I’m about to finalise on racingline springs. Just wanted to ask if your matrix led needed recalibration?

Octavia vRS FL first impressions
Wow! T hank you so much for taking the effort to post these. I really love the infotainment layout. It is very neat and minimalistic. Even the instrument cluster views are pretty neat. Especially the fonts. Just slightly disappointed with the goodbye screen. the Mk4 has a more detailed car graphics..

Thank you for this detailed post. Just curious, what is the engine code? Would like to know which variant of the 888 is used. Also are there ambient light strips for rear doors? please can you share some images of the instrument cluster? many thanks

Carly or Obdeleven
While both Carly and OBDeleven are viable options, OBDeleven is often favored by enthusiasts and professionals due to its wider range of features, deeper customisation options, and most importantly active community support. Their forum is very active and specific to each car. Even the OBDEleven team responds quiet well over emails. OBDEleven app on iOS is also easy to use. Especially the one click apps with nice details about what the codes are going to do. As for the subscriptions, it is really is up to you on what you are planning to achieve with the diagnostic tool. Disclaimer: I have only used OBDEleven and i'm basing my answers based on some research that I did when was about to purchase the tools.

Update to Version 1969
Hey guys. Just wanted to give an update here about SW 1969. Dealerships in the middle east have begun updating the cars here with SW1969. ( when you go to them with problems). A few of the vRS' in my group have gotten their systems updated to SW1969. So far rock solid.

AC and ventilation with a mind of its own
Continuous hissing sound means there is a leak in the system and you are running low on refrigerant. Should be covered under warranty.

The First vRS Owners Club in The United Arab Emirates
If only vRS stock exhaust was loud 🥹. Sounds like a vacuum cleaner from outside. I desperately wish to listen for DSG farts. GTI has a nice tone. Why not us.

Infotainment System Restarting endlessly
I live in the middle east. Does not get hotter than this 😅. So far I have not had my infotainment reboot or crash or anything. Im on 1969. Display unit H47/2103. So i doubt its happening because of temperature. IT is still a software mess up.

Stone chips on bonnet - a lot more than I would expect to see.
Avoid driving behind trucks. When merging, leave enough space if there is a truck nearby, and of course, don't tailgate, as most stones get picked up and flung at high speed towards you. However, due to the unique shape of our MK4s, this is somewhat unavoidable

Have you updated to 1969 & How was/is it for you
I updated through the files provided in this forum. I did it via usb and everything went smooth. All was completed in 15 minutes and ran fine. TBH, I never had an issue with 1941. But just wanted to have the latest and greatest. So all good.

I had the same issue and live in a country with no Skoda Connect. I just forgot the car and repaired carplay. it stopped connecting to the wifi after that.

Yellow indicator signs after battery was disconnected.
I’ve never changed battery or disconnected for a long time, but I’ve read that it’s normal for this to happen. Turn steering all the way to the left and then all the way to the right. The instrument cluster lights should go away. Or just drive normally and it should eventually go away.

Brake sticking after parked for long
I doubt this will work with electronic P brakes. Will try it out.

Brake sticking after parked for long
Hello. It had rained heavily, so I decided to park my car for a while so I wouldn't get stuck in the floods. When I tried to drive today, after releasing the parking brake, I felt that the brake held on, and then I heard a thud when I gave throttle, and then it released. The car is a 2023 VRS. Is this normal? But this happened only once.

There is no harm in just leaving the code yeah? I dont have access to a diagnostic tool at the moment. But everything seems to be working fine.

Hey @aaaaplay Did you get a chance to check?

Update to Version 1969
Totally agree. I dont see a logical explanation as to why they wont offer OTA updates for our regions... Im pretty sure there are other firmware updates for rest of the control modules in our vehicles. But we will never know...
