  1. first off, glad noone was hurt right that aside ,a tyre blowout can happen to any car at any time. Why the hell would anyone even think of blaming a car manufacturer??
  2. ah the old hometown (although I moved away back in 1999ish)
  3. chwarea teg, looks more grey than white in these rather than the OG pics Beige is still not a colour that would have sprung to mind though lol
  4. looks "dirty white" to me
  5. but it doesnt look like any of the "grey" options on the configurator. Sorry I still say white lol
  6. Personally based on the configurator I would have hazarded a guess at Fuji White as doesn't look metallic (which is the other whte option) https://www.jaguar.co.uk/jaguar-range/i-pace/index.html
  7. we're both wrong. According to the DVLA its grey ;o)
  8. Just had this pop up ;o) now admittedly (as Kyle says during the podcast) this doesn't factor in any upfront costs for the hardware
  9. also I'm presuming this has happened die to some sort of fault on the vehicle meaning they've had to get someone out to disconnect the cable at the dispenser end.
  10. I would call that white rather than beige ;o)
  11. aye , if nothing else then the remote access is useful/worth it for keeping track of fuel consumption if(like me) you're you're lazy to record it manually ;o)
  12. On a side note. I have my own domain name and am able to use [email protected] so every where I go I use a different variation. eg Winston.Halfords@ or Winston.boots@ so if I start getting spam on them then a) I know where it’s originated from b) I can easily filter/block
  13. that sounds like a Merkin speaking based on the condition of the tyres of many older vehicles I see on YT. The again , the general condition of many of the vehicles they use on the roads is generally shockng!!
  14. and redundant if you've filled in the also optional Driving Licence Number ;o) actually @johnny cabbage head , did they ask for your driving licence as well ?
  15. but do you really need 2 new headlights? Have you checked that the linkages from the front suspension are present & correct (as I understand it self leveller motors are linked to the suspension) ? What about seeing if you canget the self levelling motors sperately?
  16. unless there was something like the petrol station network that would allow you to recharge anywhere you liked, when you liked and in a speedy manner and then you could drive an EV without any upfront cost of a home charger. Just like an ICE ;o)
  17. so If I do an autotrader search for a 2023 1.0tsi Kamiq SE L Executive, with a DSG with up to 10k on the clock I get these 3 so given these are all lower mileage then @Stonekeeper's guesstimate of a Main Dealer offering it out at £21k feels in the right ballpark. If you're not happy with the part ex offer you could always try popping your vehicle's details on Motorway and seeing what they reckon they can get for it. I used one of the regs from autotrader and upped the mileage to closer to yours and the initial estimate came back as
  18. but that's the retail selling price at the dealers so they are never going to give you that much are they. that's not how things work
  19. now if only there was a nation wide network of charging stations a bit like , oh I don't know, lets say petrol stations. You know, somewhere you could refuel your EV in the same way you do an ICE vehicle then there needn't be any upfront costs. Even better , wouldn't it be nice if your EV could be fully refuelled in a few minutes so that not so many charging points needed. How many ICE owners have fuel tanks installed at their property so they can buy fuel in bulk and refuel cheaper than at the local Esso or Shell etc? as that's what you're effectively doing with EV home charging, isn't it? You want to pay less per unit but there is an associated up front cost. Is this really wrong/bad?
  20. also. It was bought new by someone in Jan 2023, they did 5458 miles and it was back in the dealers 6-7 months later and now you're looking to move it on again after Just 1000 or so miles in 7 months? Curious
  21. it will have lost most of that value just being driven off a main dealers forecourt, this is the way ;o) Hang on 16 months? Have I entered a time warp? Aug 2023 was only 9 months ago??? Oh it was new in Jan 2023 and you bought it in August 2023 Got it
  22. shouldn't we call them finger brakes these days???
