  1. That doesn't make sense.
  2. Yes seems to be a low pressure prime then high pressure when ignition turned on
  3. My car has not been updated since 2020 looking at it and maps say ECE as of 2020 or similar.
  4. Yeah you can do that and sand the pad surface down till it's matt and the caliper will go back on easier. Be careful though as some cars time out and apply the parking brake. Also if you open the door or spin the wheels the brake can come on.
  5. Just seen your comments on Facebook 😂
  6. Definitely a professional detailer will do a much higher quality job and will last longer.
  7. I think you might have a hard time as the shim would have to be very thin
  8. It should be fine, VW actually do a special grease to lubricate the pivot as they are common to seize up. I used a ceramic high temperature grease on mine to stop it happening.
  9. That's entirely up to you, for me I'm not sure. I would rather take it to a decent body shop I trust. Is it on pcp? Then could be worth it.
  10. You can try putting a thicker 'E' clip to stop some noise but this won't account for wear in the actuator or waste gate, should still quieten it down a bit though.
  11. I wouldn't go for it, I know dealers where the valeters just keep the stuff and put some cheap polish on.
  12. Although it is a good idea to replace all it's not always necessary. For example the one next to the turbo will suffer from a lot more heat exposure than the rest.
  13. The misfire will cause high fuel consumption. Have you have a compression test and cylinder leakage test done?
  14. That's what I thought at first 😂 hence my comment. Just was a really strange angle for the photo I think.
  15. I'm sure TPS sell them separately, so if you have identified the one that's at fault just do the one.
  16. If you put your vin into the Skoda update website there are detailed instructions you can follow.
  17. Looks a bit tricky. You would have to chop quite a large piece out of it to get to some good metal. Might be work trying to prepare it yourself and get a professional to do the welding repair.
  18. Hello looking at the images am I correct in believing that my system has never been updated since new? Also do I need to put the map and the radio stations on a separate SD card? Thanks. 20240622_204920.heic 20240622_204934.heic 20240622_204947.heic
  19. You need to do a proper auto scan/road test and get someone who knows what they are looking at to go through it.
  20. They NGK will have some coating on but they are rusty as hell when you take them out, just thought I might try Bosch to see if it stops the massive corrosion as it could be the reason the engines feel better when new plugs installed.
  21. I am. I'll take a look cheers. Need to get a new VCDS cable as I think mines too old for this car.
  22. Hi has anyone fitted Bosch spark plugs to the TSI? Main reason is being the rust/corrosion on the threads. I've noticed over the years that Bosch have a much higher level of corrosion resistance than the NGK.
  23. When you unlock the vehicle or open the door? Why would it prime then prime again when turning on ignition? Low pressure prime when opening the door and higher pressure when turning ignition on?
  24. If it's anything like the mercedes the valve is all due to efficiency and won't do harm as it is. When it goes faulty you have good oil pressure.
  25. Yeah well it could be anything tbh, not saying it will be that but it's an easy place to start.
