  1. I work for Renault and fitted a few to the captur, they usually go over the whole door and inside around the window. Plenty of silicone lube and you can do it without taking the door card and window out. I'd try and get a warranty claim out of it. If they cause damage get them to fix it.
  2. If you search there was a guy did a full retrofit guide on how to install the camera.
  3. So is all dpca gpf or only some?
  4. Hello does it usually take forever to register in car with Skoda connect? I have tried using my phone hotspot but it won't find it. Used my home internet but just seems to be stuck on loading screen. I don't know what type of media interface I have, it's 2020 1.5 TSI SE Technology. Touchscreen apart from two buttons at the bottom on screen. Maybe I need to update to the latest software?
  5. I checked mine last week and it seems it has never been serviced 🤣 unless it was don't independent from new.
  6. You can't blame them really. Most garages do a free health check on the car, it's company policy. Yes there is some wear but they could last another year maybe 2 who knows. They don't know your annual mileage and driving style etc. so have to put anything down to let you know and cover their arses.
  7. Well that's no good a waste of fuel and time 😠
  8. So it's not a diverter valve pipe?
  9. So we are supposed to wait 1 minute before driving?
  10. I wouldn't even think about advising them on MOT, just keep an eye on them, you don't drive around with your wheels in the air.
  11. Might be worth taking out the bolts for downpipe mounting to remove any stress from the Flexi. Just don't go too mad and keep an eye on the pipes/hoses on top.
  12. If you remove the lower torsion mount on the gearbox and the upper half of the engine mount you can jack up the engine to get better access to the bolt.
  13. The mount with 3 bolts?
  14. Bolts in engine or body?
  15. Any luck with this? Have you had the inlet valves cleaned?
  16. Took plenty out while doing timing belts. Never had a problem reusing the old ones.
  17. They don't make em like they used to, made from rusty metal I think and just enough paint to cover the edges
  18. Tbh you should get wheel alignment checked when doing any steering/suspension work.
  19. Just slide it off, fit new back plate and slide back on.
  20. Is yours a diesel then? What's wrong with turbo actuator?
  21. Where did you buy the parts from? I've got some yellow stuff rears hanging about to shot in mine. I went to do mine today, got the fronts done but parts gave me the wrong discs for rear 😢 been waiting 10 days for them I even told them the sizes and everything fecking useless.
  22. I found valeo silencio to be the best blades. Had some one my old car for about 7 years, still on when I sold it. Trick is to never wipe the blades, they have special graphite coating. Once you clean them they end up juddering and wearing out faster.
