Late 2019 Skoda scala 1.0 DSG Gearbox issue
Pretty sure there is a filter somewhere in the gearbox itself. Might be in the MCU. There is no service procedure for it but if it gets blocked it can cause issues and lead to failure. This is very well documented on the internet. Poor shifting comes up again and again as a symptom.

Late 2019 Skoda scala 1.0 DSG Gearbox issue
Check for leaks of the gearbox oil. Do you do a lot of short trips? Might be worth having gearbox oil and filter changed.

Infotainment display update
It might be but it's going to be expensive.

Kamiq Engine Oil Dipstick
There are aftermarket metal dipsticks available. Not cheap though.

Allow all (including position) is the "lowest" setting.

Gearbox shifting
I assume you mean manual, if so the shift mechanism might need adjusting.

Not sure this is useful. The manual I have (official download from Skoda) for a 2023 built car says that you should visit the dealer for software updates. That's in the UK. I have had some minor updates OTA but, like you, if I check the updates page in the infotainment it says nothing is available. In contrast our VW Golf 2021 build gets OTA updates every few months. Both cars properly registered with the manufacturers big computer in the sky! Just a thought, you do know that to get anything OTA you must have privacy set to the lowest setting?

Can’t use the infointainment sistem
It's odd that the infotainment has locked you out following this warning. Have you tried pressing the home button to move off of the vehicle status screen? Have you tried resetting the infotainment? Long press of the on/off button until the screen goes black. Do this with the engine running. The SOS fault is not uncommon, it's normally a faulty module. Dealer should be able to fix it. Also ask them to check the backup battery in the infotainment. They can do this with their diagnostic scanner. There is a "recharging" process for this back-up battery if it's not too far gone. From memory though it needs an external battery charger connected.

Used Scala SE for New Driver - 1.0 TSI 95 vs 115
As has been said, read the small print carefully. That extra "discount" is just part of the commission for selling this sort of product. For me it makes them worthless. Alloy repairs are not that expensive and it's good learning for a child to have to pay back this sort of debt.

Used Scala SE for New Driver - 1.0 TSI 95 vs 115
First car for a new driver. I'd pick the cheaper and less cosmetically up together one. also insurance to consider in the equation.

The SOS warning light can be due to a module fault or to the software. The dealer should be able to tell you which. Just because the call connects does not mean the system is working. Remember that it can trigger automatically in the event of an accident. If this feature is not working you'll get the warning light.

Annoying beep
Pretty sure you can turn the ping volume down.

Kamiq Start Stop Issues
The telematics battery is a bit like the CMOS battery in a PC. It can fail but there is a process to check if is charging and you can determine this via the ODD port. Your dealer should know both the procedure for charging the telematics battery and how to check it's condition. OK, it's not something that is often needed but there is a documented process. As to replacement, ask them to show you where in the warrantee the telematics battery is not included.

Kamiq 1.5 Petrol starting issue
Just to state the obvious. She was driving a GTD now she's driving a petrol car.

Annoying beep
There are two beeps associated with speed. The first is a persistent little ping if you are over the posted speed limit. (speed warning) The second is a little ping (different tone) each time the car detects a change in speed limit. The spot on the speedo moves as well.

I think there is a setting somewhere in settings. Look under voice control.

It's really easy to wake Laura up if you are not careful. She has a lot of trigger words.

Are User Profiles really necessary?
Stop Start and Lane assist are "mandated" to be on. Been that way for a while. Thank your lucky stars we can still turn them off and the setting persists until you turn the ignition off.

This video might be useful to some folks. Yes I know it's a different car! VW SOS System Fault - Diagnosed and Fixed!

Pre-existing faults notified are faults no matter how long it takes the dealer to fix them. The law is clear on this point.

Are User Profiles really necessary?
If you do configure the keys for different users then what is saved depends to a large extent on vehicle spec. E.g. - seat position only saved if you have electric seats. Some models do seem to save driving mode preference, some don't.

Hardly anything VAG related is plug and play now. You'll almost certainly need coding. The fact that it resets and then works suggests the module or the software rather than something physical. Try to make a note of the location where the fault happens to see if it is random. Electronic signals have been suspected as a possible cause. Re the OTA updates. VW is mad keen for these, we get them for the Golf about 4-5 times a year. Skoda seem to be a bit more reluctant and prefer you to visit the dealer. On the plus side the dealer should have all the TSB's and should be able to have an idea how to fix the issue. I have access to some of the VW TSB's but not any of the Skoda ones.
