  1. Here - for Columbus. For future reference all the latest map links will be posted in the level above the one linked to earlier. Maybe time to put that section on your notification list?
  2. I had a vRS in 2009 and retrofitted a BT unit into the quadlock behind the headunit so it is possible. The aftermarket unit may well be a better suggestion though as then you could get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay too.
  3. See the pinned threads in my signature as others have a solution. πŸ‘
  4. There should be a setting somewhere on any phone that can automatically set the connection mode without doing it at each plug in. AA was set up so long ago that I can’t remember what was asked but I’d certainly try installing it to see if you’re missing something.
  5. There might be your answer! Have you enabled a data connection when charging on your phone?
  6. john999boy replied to Tamworthpig's topic in Skoda Enyaq
Did you realise that taking an EV over Β£40k wouldn't incur those extra charges?
  7. They work just as well on secondhand cars. πŸ˜‰
  8. In all honesty I think a replacement or removal will be the only option.
  9. Maybe @agedbriar and @notyeti can re-test if they are able to lock the car with the driver's door open? I agree if any other door is open and the driver's door is closed then the car should lock the closed doors plus the remaining doors when they are shut. It could be there are slight differences across the VAG range. I'll try my theory on my other car tomorrow.
  10. I think it's just the driver's door that needs to be closed to allow the car to lock.
  11. I can't help out with that but connecting via AUX would allow you to hear what you'd already set going on your phone - if you have a headset socket. You wouldn't be able to change tracks etc from your head unit though.
  12. <From memory> I'm not sure if the Denison MDI was OEM or not but either way, it will only be a dumb connector. Likewise the AUX socket but that cable should be easier to source. Do you not have Bluetooth to stream audio?
  13. Couldn't you rehouse the fish into the hot tub as that might save a few quid? If you invest in the ones that 'nibble' old skin then that could be like having a body treatment too! 🐠 🐟
  14. Is this not the same as having the sidelights on? If you want each side to individually be on then press the indicator whichever way when leaving the car.
  15. Check out some of the YouTube videos by Artisan Electrics as they've installed a few different types of chargers.
  16. I'll post this here but it refers to my other VAG car. Had a battery warning for 'only a few days' and then the key wouldn't lock the car. Took the battery out, reseated it and then it did lock. However this must been using the final gasps of breath as then it was totally dead. Time to bring out the totally unused second key - also dead! Hmmm. No problem as I'd previously purchased some new batteries in both 2025 and 2032 flavours for just such a moment. The expiry date was in 5 years hence for the 2025 batteries so surprise surprise that neither worked. Tried a 2032 and that was fine but my normal first ports of call (Screwfix & Toolstation) were both showing zero holding stock. It was getting late now but luckily the local supermarket had some so no big deal. What I really didn't expect was either battery to die so fast (or the new ones to not work) - especially as the last time the Superb 'reported' an issue, it lasted a significant amount of time longer.
  17. Fitted some of those the other the other day - thanks @numskull πŸ’‘ They looked exceptionally white in daylight but have only properly used them once at dusk and that didn't overwhelm me. It was a kind of 'lots of brightness but not lots of light' effect. That may well be totally unfair observation (as it was in a reasonably light area) when I probably should try them in a darker environment too. That's still to come......
  18. Is this for charging or something else?
  19. Just had this delivered to my inbox. Hopefully they take on board the suggestions to make it a better and more reliable experience.
  20. I think it was about 2016 before AA & CarPlay was an additional paid for option. Later cars have it available for free. The Mitsumi socket allows various leads to be connected but with limited usability.
  21. Or if you're feeling really flush, just a little bit more for full Freedom membership. πŸ‘
  22. I've had similar 'problems' for a while. So much so that I stored some additional files on USB as well as SD. I think what stopped me from doing the reset was setting up other items. I am prone to not doing safe ejects though. Will have another play over the next few days. 😊
  23. It's perfectly normal. πŸ‘
