  1. Price starts from over £40,000 though for a vRS hatch or Estate..
  2. Testing of the brake fluid for H20 is 'Simply Clever'. it is obviously just the brake fluid in the reservoir that is tested because they are not letting any out of the calipers and testing that.
  3. Surely the Tail Lights come on with the Sidelight on and Headlights, is it with the DRL,s at the front on you want the rears on? Parking lights are One front and one rear sidelights on when the indicator down and ignition off. Side / Position Lights are not Parking Lights. Not in the UK anyway.
  4. @domhnall The Scottish Government were granting money from Tax Payers and the EU, and COUNCILS were installing, or organisations, sometimes, Farm Shops etc. Getting public money. e-Volt chargers that were built by a company SWARCO owned were not State of the art 5 years ago. SWARCO were maintaining them for most of the 32 Councils in Scotland and the maintenance was poor in many cases around Scotland. Many were out of order for a long time. SWARCO took over the back office running Charge Place Scotland in 2021. Before that they were involved in it for BP that were doing it for Charge Place Scotland. Since 2011 many many millions went to the wrong places. People getting an £80,000 grant which was really a Gift & they got a charger installed and were to give Free Charging for 2 years. There were people that used the charger for their use and had them out of order to The General Public. There are chargers that were part of the £60 million spending not fit for purpose, out of orders or parts not supplied by e-volt / SWARCO if the were not the Maintenance provider for that Council. Or the Council was not paying up to have them repaired. Lots of that was happening leading up to 2021 and the change of Back Room Operators. There was the paying of £20 for a RFID card annually, then just £12 for a card, and people have these and it is getting where using those will not be available. Come time it will all come out in the wash. .............. 43 pence a kWh. Well see T&C,s before rolling up expecting that 'Much Cheapness'. Pay the Subscription or maybe get it with your Vehicle, from SKODA or whoever. £104.99 a year. Maybe that can be claimed back in works expenses for some. Like they claim mileage. Only £2 a week, if you are a regular user of Ionity. Which would need you to be in the vicinity of those for where you live or travel about.
  5. I said Mk3 Fabie. & the Service Sheets showed 2 years before 2016. Nothing regarding VW. Yes above which i posted from the 2018 & 19 and 20 versions many many rimes, a the 2021. showing DSG @ 40,000 even though the DQ200 & DQ381 were not. Never has been by year, so at 4 years unless the miles covered. Then the Haldex was @ 4 years / 40,000 miles until Skoda got to 3 years / 30,000 miles. The Air Filter at 6 years / 60,000 miles is a joke. Some never even checked them at the Services before that. No sign of the VAQ diff in that.
  6. Skoda changed to first at 2 years then each 2 rather than first at 3 years then at 2 years as far back as 2015 with All New Mk3 Fabias. That was in the UK. Nothing to do with EV,s & their Schedule, Regime or Guidelines.
  7. ^^^^ As above. now at 116,000 miles so when were things replaced?
  8. An average of over 60 mpg over a year is quite something. every mile and every liter counted to get 63 mpg average.
  9. New cars damaged in transport, or storage or Pre or post PDI and sale to new owners / first registered keepers might never show on any insurance checks claims. Repaired by Porsche / VW / SKODA, SEAT, Audi etc etc approved repairers, or kerb side / forecourt man / woman in a van people. That is just how it has been. Skoda / VW Group approved used vehicles can be as bad as any old tarted up cars. Some straight from Car Auction to refurb and then onto forecourt showroom can be better prepped and painted than Ex Demonstrators, Courtesy Car, 'our managers specced up top of the range'. Skoda / VW owned until resold car.
  10. Wintry weather, EV real world. Not the car or drivers fault or even the weather, it can be crap chargers. The battery was not pre heated as only run for 1/4 of a mile to the one available 50 kW DC charger unless starting the journey and hoping the ones 6 miles away are available and working. So around freezing and going just above. I want safely 120 miles range later on to get a charge hub allowing for possible diversions. 52 kWh Battery 48 kWh usable. 70 pence a kWh and max speed at plugging in 12 kW and getting to a max of 20 kW. So to get to 100% that was £10.95 for 15.6 kWh. & took 55 minutes. Max charge time is 60 minutes here then a £30 penalty. So anyone wanting a good charge up is stuffed. 15.6 kW might give me x 3.1 miles per kWh in these temps. so an extra 50 miles for £11. This is real world crap infrastructure in the South West Scotland and Council Public Chargers.
  11. I would not just assume the Engine Light is related with your TSI to the DQ381 DSG,s fault. How many miles has your car done. When was the Spark Plugs changed?
  12. There are 2 of them, their hand overs and Sales staff are no better than Arnold Clark, Western or any of the others really. When you find the Security bolt socket or even before i would check you can actually release the bolts to change a wheel using the tool you have. Others wise you are left with Skoda Assist doing it. Have a lovely Christmas and a Happy new year. PS. Check where the Oil level is when cold if your car has a dipstick, then when at operating temp so you know where it was at hand over, and then for topping up, and then after services. It will be pretty much just enough in. They are supposed to check at the PDI. Look see the coolant level as is now when the car is new.
  13. @jarneevans I see your location is India. Important.... Are you serious about the tyres & wheels you have replaced.. More than £7,000 spent! Are you driving hard at sleeping policemen / potholes etc? Where has the car been to to get the fault diagnosed at . What do you expect Skoda Customer Care to be doing? SKODA INDIA and CZ are the ones that the Dealer / Technician need to speak with not just you complaining or speaking with some Call Center handler. HOW MANY SKODA DEALERSHIPS ARE THERE IN YOUR AREA?
  14. ^^^ Was that not where the Tyre Inflation kit was? or was it left above that. I would be checking and resetting if needed the tyre pressures. Just incase the Tech or Fitter was other wise occupied while doing the PDI. Was this Henrys Skoda Glasgow?
  15. For others information i looked at your profile to see that it is a 2.0 TDI vRS you show as having.
  16. ^^^ Amazing. do you never do short trips with the engine staying cold and not up to an efficient temp & just getting the 30 mpg or so that others might get, if you do you must often be getting the 80 plus mpg to have an average like that.
  17. Check out others experiences.
  18. What servicing has it had? How many miles has it done, does it run much on just petrol and not mainly just electric, has the oil changes been annual / fixed, 9,400 miles or less, have the spark plugs been changed?
  19. It is not a Space Saver even though Skoda call it that. It saves space because it is a 15" Steel Wheel with a 195 or 185 / 55 R 15 tyres. What do you need the extra space for, a full size Alloy and a 205/40 R 17 tyres fits in, even a larger 205/45 R 17 or a 215/40 R17 goes in with room above. They are sometimes For Sale on Briskoda adverts or are on Ebay, etc.
  20. I remember every vehicle i have owned or driven since 1977 and know how much fuel it used on the trips and journeys i do day in day and day out over the different seasons. I pay for the fuel, put it in the tank and drive the miles. I remember well the ones that were high 20 mpgs, the ones in the 30,s and 40,s or 50,s mpg. Petrol or diesels. Same roads unless maybe a new stretch of dual carriageway / by-pass, many of the same filling stations that maybe had different grades of petrol then Unleaded and different dervs. Unleaded, super unleaded, then E10 or E5. I used to write it down back in the day, then it becomes so easy to know which routes are more economic that there is no need. #Memories.
  21. Mk2,s you could increase or reduce Brake Assist as you could Steering Assist and the XDS / EDL to greater or less. Many a Motability car that had Hand Controls or not but adjustments made would be returned at end of lease with controls / modifications removed but not reset to Factory Settings.
  22. The very one. Passing the subsidised charging from Porsche, or paid really by Porsche buyers. Lease a business vehicle, tax benefits, reclaim VAT etc. Using as a works vehicle & mumping about Insurance, Maintenance, cost of tyres, charging, etc etc. Real World for a Youtuber, not for many Porsche Taycan driving Business Users or even private drivers. It is the real world that matters, and not the expensive cars, or the big battery ones, the ones out their in the majority, the ones that should be electric, town and city use, charging at public chargers. Plenty of those are parked up though and fleet cars, and councils etc. Using the chargers and parked for many hours and meaning The General Public are denied their use.
