  1. I'm 18 months in with the Direct Hoses All Black 8. Some batch related issues reported last year - thankfully i escaped these. A new version2 on sale for 2018 and so far - all i hear are good things. Lances and accessories are very cheap on ebay/China purchase too. https://www.directhoses.net/collections/electric-pressure-washer/products/copy-of-directhoses-all-black-8-electric-pressure-washer-upgraded-wire-reinforced-hose-quick-fit
  2. As i recall the Speedmaster metal stem was stronger/stiffer and less prone to the EZ snapping symptom over time. That said - the Blue EZ range were also subsequently updated to improve reliability also. Both good products though - no question.
  3. One for @Karl Allen and the other rallye green boys perhaps. Personally - on those i've detailed you are looking for a good flake pop from the wax. Best results will be in the preparation though - polishing the pain or cleansing before waxing. My go to waxes would be R222 or Auto Perfection Intensify. I can add links if required.... looking forward to seeing your results.
  4. Perhaps stated above - but cannot be emphasised enough with tyre dressings. Good results can only be expected with decent preparation of the tyre surface. A strong APC mix and stiff brush of the tyre rim should see an amazing amount of grime come out the rubber. Repeat more than once for best results. Allow tyre to dry before applying dressing thereafter. Personally... i use EZ Tyre Slick which is great value. Meg's Endurance is great too.
  5. Autobrite Just The Tonic - a great low cost tar remover, never let me down or had any issues.
  6. Decent options for wheel protection.... - FK1000p high temp wax or - BMW Revolutions wheel wax. On top of this, or standalone - after a wash - a wipedown with Sonax BSD works wonders too!
  7. Some decent suggestions above. Any limitations on budget? I'd recommend Jayswax Ceramic wax - ceramic infused, easy to use and stunning gloss and durability. My favourite wax of the moment - it has to be said. Some selling on auction via eBay and they have a dedicated shop.... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jayswax-Sio2-200ml-Ceramic-Wax-High-Gloss-Rrp-70/152987969034?hash=item239ecb260a:g:Qh0AAOSwacdZbNZj
  8. Loving the Vectra pics Skinnyman! Gorgeous!
  9. Good choice - would have been my recommendation. EZ brushes work very well in most cases. Complimented with wheel woolies - you wont go far wrong.
  10. As said above - ideal for maintenance duties if time is of the essence. Quick top up to existing protection and base sealant - it's ideal. I have seen some valeters using it - but i would rather see a more formal selant/wax stage than this for a paid job.
  11. I moved to the Cyclone last year and i'm happy with how they perform; but as you were on a budget for this.... i dont think the cyclone warrants the spend.
  12. You can probably get 2 of the EZ grit guards for the price of 1x CG Cyclone.... https://www.ezcarcare.co.uk/collections/bucket-grit-guards/products/buckets-and-grit-guards?variant=23784248007
  13. Hi mate - thanks for the comment. Tested the Megs bucket with my standard EZ grit guard and then the Chemical Guys Cyclone dirt trap. Both fit perfect and snug and stay firmly at the base of the bucket at all times.
  14. Bilt Hamber are great products - generally.... CleanYour car stock these and discount code available. I use the clay bar, surfex HD APC, Auto foam, Double Speed Wax currently - all vert cost effective!
  15. Meguiar's Detailing buckets.... Reduced in Halfords. £9 then discount card applied My standard grit guards fit really snug - perfect purchase!
  16. Recent sale at iShine Car Care.... so managed to pick up one of my all time favourite waxes on the cheap! Britemax Vantage Wax - highly recommended!
  17. It works well - tried this myself a few years ago. Another nice blend to try is BSD / C2v3... works well. You will probably find a recommended dilution ratio on DetailingWorld as well.
  18. Anyone tried this stuff yet? Going quite cheap at In2detailing - might make a purchase...
  19. Pet dryer has proven a real bargain.... although i think prices have gone up a little since; but i got mine for under £40 and it's now 3 years old and still going strong. Master Blaster setup is nice - with extended hose etc..... but hard to justify the price.
  20. Car Chem 1900:1 shampoo is great value in the 5L tubs; Britemax Cleanmax shampoo is nice with gloss enhancers. But i did just stock up on AD Purple Velvet in the Xmas sale....
  21. I have seen the results of this on Alan's stunning .:R36 - very impressive & highly recommended.
  22. Wow - you have more EZ stuff than me.... Let me know how you get on with Gecko - i was a bit underwhelmed. Only recent product from EZ i want to try is GHOST - the hybrid Sealant spray.
