Almost threw you into a hedge and having to fight the steering wheel? Really? On the rare occasion that I forget to turn lane assist off it gives me a gentle bit of resistance on the steering wheel, I certainly never have to “fight the steering wheel” and it’s never even come close to “throwing me into a hedge”. Its a slight annoyance I’ll agree, but not in a million years would I describe it as dangerous🤔

Yeah it’s absurd and affects all manufacturers I’m afraid. If it was me I’d be badgering my dealer to source me one from a cancelled order, there are always some floating about ready to be snapped up. You may need to be flexible with colour, spec etc but if you aren’t too fussy you could get lucky. Ive even read that Skoda aren’t taking orders for metallic paint, though that could be rumour/bull****.

Don’t hold your breath, I’ve seen posts on a Kamiq UK fb group whereby some are waiting 10 months plus. Not trying to be an arse, just letting you know what you could expect.

Trust me, a company as huge as VAG (Skoda) would have hired the best of the best Marketing/Media /Advertising companies to come up with the ideas to advertise their product. We aren’t talking about spotty college students who are studying media at college, we are talking multi million pound companies who specialise in advertising. So, whilst you see what you see, there will be a marketing reason why they chose the format they did to advertise the Kamiq, and I’ll bet you my house that it works in terms of sales for the thousands/millions who the advert subliminally influences.

Gimmick or not, it looks naff…. half finished. First world problems indeed, but people pay a lot of money for cars that in recent times look like they’ve been designed by 8 year olds. Me? I don’t give a crap, my MC has scrolling front and rear indicators and they look class, but yeah those who have half and half are right to feel mugged off. All this for a poxy cold🙄

My ocd would be off the scale. Why have static front indicators but scrolling rears? Just looks clumsy. Yeah yeah I get the alleged semi conductor shortage due to the worldwide cold (covid) virus but really? The world has literally gone mad😂😂

Can I ask why you want them? Skoda/Kamiq/ VW group seats/upholstery are very hard wearing and decent, so unless you are regularly transporting rabid dogs with a penchant for tearing apart car seats you should be ok.

Sorry to say this but that’s the most unflattering colour for the Kamiq MC. The race blue is stunning, the meteor grey, white and red are also very nice, but that graphite grey just doesn’t show the car to its full potential imho. I’m sure many people don’t like the things I like, horses for courses and all that.

I’m well aware why this thread was started, I only added my contribution as a reference for those who may be thinking about getting the Kamiq.

Not every car will suit every driver, it’s nothing new. For me, the Kamiq driving height/position is perfect. I’m 6’1 for reference.

Had my 21 plate Kamiq for a week and I too kept getting the SOS error flashing up. Booked it in and was told that one of two things will resolve it, a software update OR failing that a new part (I think he said module). Anyway, after an hour or two it was fixed with an update, and a month and a half later I’ve had zero problems.

I know mate and In my ignorant head I just wondered why they’d go to the expense of a brand new roof when the existing one is perfectly ok, but the service manager has explained that either way it has to be removed, hence why Skoda are saying it needs a brand new one. Now that it has been explained to me I can kinda see it, still a ball ache though.
