Passenger fog light for France and headlights
Hello, i have a 2022 Karoq (RHD) and i’ve moved to France with and it will need a DREAL (French gov) check to be ok for French roads. The 2 main things are the Headlights and the fog light. For the fog it needs to be central or to the passenger rear side, it looks to me like there is a LED foglight to the rear passenger side, not just a reflector. Does anyone know if this is the case? If so, how do i get it working? Also, the headlights won’t pass and they don’t have the travel function (standard LED not the Matrix LED headlights)….i’m looking at changing them if the dip can’t be adjusted out? Does anyone tech know if the different headlights are likely to be plug and play? Thanks

Driving on the left France etc
Bringing up an old topic. We’ve moved to France with our 2022 facelift 1.5tsi Karoq, Skoda uk told us the car standard led headlamps didn’t have enough of a kick to fail an mot in France. An independent also said this. We took it to be checked and have been told it would fail, Euro carlites stickers it is then! 😆

Four years and four months on - a progress report of sorts
Did you need to do anything with the clutch after it’s remap? Often the torque gain can be too much for OE clutches. It looks like a nice car, what tyres do you run on it?

Matrix headlight adjust for Europe
An update, there is no such settings on the newer standard LED Karoqs. But they don’t have the kick up to the left in the same way halogen lamps did. I’ve had thhis confirmed by both Skoda and a good local independent. This matters to us as we’ll be moving to France soon and would like to keep our car.

First 3 Months with my Karoq
An interesting read thank you. I wonder if it’d be of interest for us other Karoq users to share our thoughts on our car also?

When accelerating, the car pulls to the right
No, but still what i’ve said is relevant. Wheel alignment next! A car pulling can be numerous things, but it’s usually something simple.

When accelerating, the car pulls to the right
I would check a few things first… 1) Check if the tyres on the front are the same, if they’re not and the rear two tyres are then swap fronts to the back and adjust pressures. 2) Check the wear on the front tyres also, see if anything looks wrong such as excessive wear on either shoulder of the tyres….you’re alignment may have an issue. 3) When you’re sure the above is ok, check the wheel alignment. If they’re 4 wheel adjustable then get that done. 4) Get the suspension checked over.

Karoq Adaptive LED lights
When we bought our used 2022 SE L Karoq we thought the only LED light options were the full matrix lights. We hadn’t realised that there were two possibilities, the ones we have have a straight LED DRL which runs to the bottom of the headlamp. The Matrix headlamps have the kink or staggered line. We only thought about this as we’ve been in France for 2months and I was sure i’d be able switch the lights to not glare the wagon drivers at night, which they definitely do!

Anyone running on CrossClimate 2 225/50R18 MICHELIN CROSSCLIMATE 2 SUV ?
We bought our car with 4 brand new Goodyear Vector 4 seasons on. It’ll be interesting to see how the vehicle behaves in the snow/winter conditions with them on, but with it being a 2wd i never expect miracles 😆 But they’re certainly a safer bet and they’re highly rated in the tyre tests.

All weathers are fine for most people, but if you live in the North Pennines then winters would likely be better. I have all weathers on our Karoq 2wd, but we don’t usually have to go out if it snows.

It looks like £1 to me. 😉

Matrix headlight adjust for Europe

Matrix headlight adjust for Europe
Hello all, We’re away in France for 3 months and from reading elsewhere on the internet I was lead to believe that due to the sat nav gps locating you, that the lights would auto adjust their kick on on the left. This isn’t the case, and whilst it’s fine most of the time the wagon drivers really don’t like it 😆 Does anybody know how they adjust? There isn’t an option on settings like there seemed to be on the first Karoq. Like i said it’s a 22 plate with matrix lights. Thanks
