  1. Hope is went to a good home Mike. Point them to the Brisky community 👍🏼
  2. Does this have cruise control usually on the top of the indicator stalk ? what engine code is it running BKC/BXE? Any clutch or flywheel work ? Located in London? Any cambelt history ?
  3. That’s a really nice example Mike. Should not hang around long. Does your stereo have Aux and Bluetooth for hands free perhaps ?
  4. Very good condition, a lot of work gone into this car which is obvious. Hopefully someone will take it off your hands and keep it like it should be. GLWTS
  5. I think @MicMachas a 1.9 BKC 105BHP. They just go on and on and do feel quite sprightly when pushed a little.
  6. Would have been nice to see this at some meets @TrevorB33 GLWTS.
  7. Hi all My 2005 vRS had a new passenger side window regulator and I noticed when testing the window it will return to open safe position because the window is triggering the safety mechanism when it hits the top. I note compared to the drivers side I can wobble the glass side to side a little when open and also it does not sit in the door lock side channel fully until it reaches the top when it squares off. Any ideas where to look first ?
  8. Not an expert but looks more mk7 Golf as mk5 golf and mk2 Octy must be interchangeable as they are the same platform. Hopefully someone will confirm who is more knowledgeable
  9. This is what you pay your membership for, certainly if you want an idea of the issue and fault cleared also. If you don’t have home start go park over a mile away and give them a buzz. Be prepared to wait a few hours sometimes more. VCDS is still likely to be far superior than what AA have. But information is power at least
  10. Also very highly regarded in the VAG scene is http://stealthracing.co.uk in Southam Leamington way. You could also get a breakdown call from AA they have decent tech for codes, if you are a member
  11. Quick google Vasstech Rugby a VAG specialist. Central VW Audi Bham. Both will of course charge for diagnostics no doubt.
  12. I have had this happen repeatedly on my mk2 2005 elegance hatch. I remove all the torx screws to the black trim under the bumper. Reach inside and pop the sensor back in the hole now more proud than the others a little. It’s amazing how much fresh air is behind the actual bumper. I put it down to a poor repair when the rear bumper was repaired post a rear light shunt many many years ago.
  13. Absolute bargain for someone @AnnoyingPentiumyou need another toy ?
  14. @Dempsek I hope your venture into the jap world is enjoyable and trouble free. Perhaps post on here if you are on freedom, location would be good for any fellow Briakodians inc size tread etc?
  15. You just need to dust off your collection of cassettes now Ryan
  16. Remember those xenon lights were the bendy beam ones which spread the light at a width, speed dependent and also turned around corners. All these things contributed to how good you found them, cornering fogs also add more light on the mk2. @Graham Butcher
  17. Name change makes sense I stayed until the prizes and won a polo shirt which I had to collect at the end. I was also in my Superb Estate in blue. Maybe catch up next time.
  18. @SE20TD Didnt realise you were there I am pretty sure I remember your old brisky handle and saw you at a brisky meet maybe Rockingham 2015? My first vRS fab then. Your silver one was pretty caked up the whole rear hatch bumper. Following your SE thread. I have a soft spot for them, even though I got myself a new to me 2005 silver one again.
  19. You should have a cover clipped on top. Are you saying you don’t ?
  20. It’s the air intake from outside the car. Air goes from there via the air box to the engine.
  21. Raffle and prizes now think people will head off soon.
  22. Here until 4pm. I appear to be the first to post this on the forum. Saw it on Facebook so coped the flyer onto here.
