  1. Interesting, so it's only the roof fixings and not roof height? I've got a traval guard & divider so roof fixings not used
  2. Battery is playing up, it did last year as well as the nights get darker and my trips are too short to charge it vey well. I get a Stop start error and EPC light when I start the engine, clears if I switch the engine off & on again. Is it possible in the days of modern ECUs etc for me to disconnect it to replace the battery? I may be able to knock up a few cables to piggy back the new one in during the swap over?
  3. I'm thinking of fitting 235/35 x 19 (same as Golf) compared to the standard 235/40x19 but I'm assuming it could mess up the insurance? Planning on fitting an all season tyre as well
  4. Thy are the tyres for my 1.5TSi Superb Sportline more expensive (approx £40-50 per tyre) than my girlfriends Golf R That's all
  5. I wouldn't worry about it, I've had a 3 bike Thule carrier on my car without any issues. It's going to be a lot lighter than a bloody big caravan!
  6. I was worried about the electric tailgate with my GSD, I always watch from the side when it's closing so I don't trap his ears! He has learnt that when I say "mind your ears" he puts his head under the roof line. I am prepared to shove my arm in if required!! On my 2019 estate, it only beeps when opening/closing when I use the keyfob or button by DSG shifter
  7. I swap mine front to back etc after I swap the winter tyres over etc. I think it's recommended on the 4x4 versions to swap, my girlfriends Golf R states in the manual to swap fronts & rear on a regular basis.
  8. Not stiffer suspension, just lower ride height and lower profile tyres.
  9. No idea, the price was of the Skoda website. Current warrany expires in May.
  10. My 2019 150TSi dsg Sportline is coming to the end of it's warranty. The "all components" warranty is quoted at £188 for the year. Are they likely to argue over everything ie DSG goes phutt or do they just replace? I only do about 6k miles pa!
  11. Make & Model: Used on a 2016 Superb 150tdi estate and a 2019 150TSi Sportline estate Mileage: approx 5000 Price: £300 Description: Set of 4 steel wheels fitted Goodyear Ultragrip Gen 1 winter tyres. Steel wheels are 6.5 x 16 ET41. Tyres are 215/60 R 16 99H, all have at least 6mm tread depth. First purchased new in 2016 when I used to drive to Austria every winter to go skiing. I have included a set of 4 storage bags/covers as well. Condition: used Extras: set of 4 storage bags Shipping: buyer to collect Collection: Milton Keynes in the week or Buckingham at weekends Pictures: <attach as many or as few as you want within the limits>
  12. They battery or alternator voltage will be higher with more load on the engine ie heated seats/ lights on etc. The maximum it should go to is about 14.8V. In normal driving, with a fully charged battery, the output will be about 12-13V A good garage should be able to check the alternator output. One thing to mention is that these cars will disable the charging during driving with a good battery voltage to save a bit of fuel, it can be alarming to watch the voltage drop! If the battery reads about 12V when engine not running, I'd say that's about right.
  13. I had these headlights on my 2016 SE Business spec (they were an option on that car), I was never happy with the low beam range. The left and right bending feature worked but the beam pattern never adapted to speed. I convinced my local dealer to have a look, all they did was connect the magic Skoda diagnostic unit to the car and then worked perfectly. I don't think the option was activated fully when the car was built. After that, I could clearly see the beam adapting as the road speed changes. My girlfriend has the same issue with the light on her Golf R, so a VW group issue not just a Sloda one! My current 2019 Sportline Plus has the AFS lights and they work perfectly.
  14. On the fuelly app, my average mpg is 37.4 over 7381 miles. 50% driving in Milton Keynes between the roundabouts and 50% A-roads. I've had high 40's on longer runs.
  15. My 2019 Sportline was doing the same, didn't matter if the tank was full or empty etc. The local Skoda dealer said it was the fuel filler flap, so replaced it under warranty.............. that was only last week and so far no more fuel smells............ I think it was a load of tosh they told me and as a warrenty job I didn't get any paperwork.
  16. I noticed last night. The globe stayed red but all the traffic & online services were still working. Do you connect with your phones wifi hospot or a SIM card?
  17. It's quite a big car for a 1.5TSi. mine is a 2019 Sportline 1.5TSi with DSG. In normal bumbling about it's okay, if you like to get a wiggle on or often have a full load in the car, go for the 1.8
  18. My DAB won't work with my Nextbase camera. Proper kit and hardwired to car. To be fair it was flaky before I fitted the dashcam... I've just stopped using DAB
  19. Have a look at this chaps youtube channel
  20. I've been running Goodyear Ultragrip gen2 for a few weeks inplace of the P7s I have noticed I'm easily getting over 45mpg now compared to high 30s when I had the P7s fitted?? Anyone else had the same effect. Rolling radius is the same (235/40x19 vs 215/60x16)
  21. I think most EU cars use a "flat beam" light output, so they don't have the angled bit
  22. Get it in writing about the delivery date and perhaps ask them to loan you a car? Could you extend the lease a bit?
  23. My GF's 2018 Golf R hatch has DCC, in ECO mode it feels only slightly less floaty than my Superb, normal mode on it feels a teeny bit stiffer then any other steel sprung car I've ever driven.
  24. I went from a 2016 SE Tech est to a 2019 Sportline plus estate. Slightly stiffer ride on the Sportline, but that might be due to lower profile tyres, still very wallowy. If I have another Superb, it's got to have DCC!
