  1. I'm sure there was an issue with the main 12v connection onto the fuse box on some early cars?
  2. Welcome😀 Once it's on fixed service, it can't be changed. Can't comment on oil. Matrix light early/late is for how light or dark it is before they come on, not how much you dazzle anyone one else. Mine is set for late. I use the Skoda online thingy, but you have to have your own data only sim card inserted if you want real time traffic data etc. I like that it's more integrated than using carplay.
  3. I'm getting the breakdown service put to have a look, if it can't be reset I'll get it in the dealer.
  4. Has this been sorted now? My 1.5TSI did the same yesterday driving down the M6. Light came on, no loss of power. Nothing in the vehicle status or the "inspection report" on the APP.
  5. I can't believe the design meeting decided to make the new Superb bigger! Not exactly tiny to start with😂
  6. Yep, sadly my Mums funeral last Thursday. All the Funeral limos and hearse number plates ended "FFS"
  7. Charger was connected as advised in the owners manual (yes, I did read it😂) Before battery was changed the STOP/Start never worked, we were heading off to the Alps for a skiing holiday, so car would be sat in minus quite a lot at 1500m all week. I was also getting the engine management light after starting the engine. Battery fitted, SS working, no issues when parked for a week, no issues since.
  8. My replacement battery was fitted by Halfords mobile fitter, I paid for it to be fitted as I thought it had to be coded. They didn't. Start engine, lots of errors, steering lock to lock, errors cleared. I connected my CTEK charger overnight, no issues since.
  9. could you leave them attached to the roofbox?
  10. Does the beam pattern change with speed? Does the light beam turn when cornering? My first Superb had the same issue. I'd optioned the xenon lights on my SE Business spec car. Dipped beam was just dangerous at night! I eventually got the main dealer to investigate, it appeared they were never enabled correctly so none of the auto light pattern stuff worked. Headlights worked perfectly once they'd connected to whatever computer they use in the workshop. Beam pattern could clearly be seen to adjust through changing speeds
  11. can't comment on reliabilty, a 2wd with good all season tyres will be more effective than 4wd with summer tyres
  12. Halfords fiited a new battery to my 2019 1.5TSI, can't remember what was in there before. They didn't code it as "it's the same as the one we took out, it only might need coding if completely dead" Anyway, gots lots of warnings on first start, turned steering to full lock each direction, all errors gone. I did leave in on my CTEK trickle charge overnight and gave it a few longish runs - including a drive to the Alps! No issues since, SS works as it should now, whereas before it never worked with the old battery.
  13. You have to set to GMT +1 I'm told the lights (xenon AFS etc) should automatically change to the other side but mine never have
  14. As above, either use a data only sim card or switch on mobile hotspot on your phone and connect cars WLAN to that. The car does have an inbuilt network - so you can check it's location/doors locked/alarm going off etc but you can't use that
  15. I'd been using a CTEK charger over the last few months, I had to do the same last winter as well. The car was sitting on a dealer forcourt over covid before I got it, so had been unused for many months. The stop/start hardly ever kicks in over the time I've had it, where as my girlfriends Golf R will always switch the engine off even if it's not been used for over a week.
  16. Update. New battery fitted by Halfords mobile today - easier for them to come to me. £187 fitted, he said the car only needs coding if battery was completely flat. Fitted in less than 10 mins, dash lit up like a Christmas tree at first startup.... TPS, start stop and ESC errors. Turned steering to full lock eacy way, errors gone and didn't re-appear. As we are driving to the Alps in a few weeks time and car will be parked in very cold temps for a week, didn't fancy trying to get a push start😂 Old battery wasn't holding charge, STOP START hardly ever worked.
  17. I use it and like the intergration compared to carplay. I have my phone as a wifi hotspot and it connects to that. You'll get TMC traffic updates without Skoda Connect
  18. We are having the same grief! I'd used Kwik fit mobile to fit the tyres on my 718 a few months ago, brilliant service, job well done. Generally prefer the mobile fitters as they are way better than the depot clowns. A few weeks ago I booked mobile tyre fitting for the all seasons I had fitted through Black circles. ATS mobile did the fitting, again very good job done. I used Black Circles as they were the cheapest for the tyres I wanted... Anyway, booked the GFs Golf R in for Kwik fit mobile fitting of a set of tyres about 4 weeks ago. Had to wait just over a week for fitting, they cancelled at lunch time as the fitter had gone sick. Waited another week for the next appointment, they called and 5:15pm to say the tyres weren't at the depot. Had a nightmare contacting them to attempt to rebook, they eventually said this Saturday. At this point I threw my teddy out of my pram and insisted it was done in the week. Eventually, they call back as promised and it's re-arranged for this Wednesday. I have clearly stated that if they fail to turn up, we'll be wanting a full refund & compensation! I find it amazing that a company can give such extremes of service quality. I'm looking forward to the request for a review😂
  19. I didn't suggest I'm a better driver "as I drive a Porsche", I suggested that the grip of the PZeros was crap in the cold & wet too😘 I would also suggest as you have a 4x4 280, it's quite difficult to loose traction from a standing start, most likely the same 4x4 system as the Golf R we have, but with a mere 150bhp 1.5TSi is was very easy to spin the front wheels when pulling away on the P7s
  20. Had to change my keyfob battery today, clear as mud in the user manual. Very clear instruction video😀
  21. On a nice warm sunny day the Pirellis perform really well. I've got PZeros on my 718 & on my girlfriends Golf R, they really loose grip in the cold. On a cold, wet day in the winter they have very poor grip, you don't need to be driving like you stole it to find the limits. Pirelli P7 are also one of the cheapest "branded" tyres in this size.
  22. Cross Climates were also about £100+ more expensive when I ordered them. I've just got back form a very wet Peak District. Continentals perform far better then the P7s would have done.
  23. I've just had a set of Continental All season Contacts fitted. 235/40x19. Replacing the P7 ditch finders £722 through Black Circles with mobile fitting service. I had originally planned on Cross Climate 2 but Tyre Reviews said they were biased towards a snowy climate not the Mid to Southern UK wet and crappy.
