Can I use Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ or do I need VCDS?
... and that was true on some VAG vehicles a few years ago, but after 'Dieselgate' VAG have closed down their systems to avoid further accusations of emissions cheating, and as start/stop does reduce emissions in the official tests then disabling it falls into that category.

Octavia III LED tail light retrofit shows fault codes
We prefer to support Ross-Tech who spend lots of time, effort and money developing VCDS rather than third-party sellers who rip-off their IPR.

Can I use Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+ or do I need VCDS?
No, it's a piece of hardware that you buy and wire into the car - basically if you want the stop/start off then when you turn the ignition on it automatically presses the button for you. Like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324148687136?hash=item4b78c47120:g:un4AAOSwynlep4Ud

SD card Music Issue
I was using the term "SD" in the generic sense to mean SD, SDHC or SDXC - none of those can be formatted to over 32GB using the GUI version of the Microsoft format program - this IS a restriction placed by Microsoft in their 'infinite wisdom'! See the-thinking-behind-the-32gb-windows-format-limit-on-fat32

Tyre rotation
This topic has been ongoing on every car webste I've been a member of for the last 20+ years, so it isn't going to stop anytime soon. IMHO we all have a higher opinion of our driving ability than truth, plus how many have had skid pan training and have first hand experience of controlling loss of rear end grip (very few). First hand experience will always outshine internet opinion

2021 F1 Discussion
Hamilton has been quoted as saying he won't leave negotiating his 2022 contract to the last minute again - a strong hint that he still wants to be racing next year?

Don't understand WLTP or MPG numbers
It's between 119 and 138 g per km depending on the spec of the particular vehicle - more options = heavier car = higher emissions. Same applies to the fuel economy numbers. Personally I have always worked on the basis of the highest emissions and lowest economy figures.

Welcome/leaving lights without bi-xenon
Since VCDS updates are free for life, you should really update to the latest version (21.3) by downloading it from the Ross-Tech website.

Modern cars learn your driving style and then it's fixed!
Yes, when I worked for an automotive consultancy the guys who did the engine management mapping gave a talk on the subject. Basically if you drive gently it will soften the rate of change of fuelling/timing, and vice versa, so the vehicle will 'feel' more like how you are driving it. But it's not set in stone it's all based on a walking window so if you change from one style to another it will gradually 'catch up' with you, but not be affected by brief changes of driver (e.g. when taken to a garage).

Passenger airbag
Is there a key operated switch in the glovebox, that's where it normally 'hides'?

Headlight on light
VAG have definitely changed whether there is an indicator in the instruments - my 2007 Audi RS4 had an indicator in the instruments when the lights were on but our 2015 Octavia III doesn't. I think it's a backward step - but it is what it is

Bolero Change.
The screen is literally just a screen, all the working parts are in the glovebox unit so it is that which will require changing.

Modern cars learn your driving style and then it's fixed!
Ignorance - the product knowledge of most car sales people is verging on zero. Modern cars DO learn your driving style, BUT they keep learning it because we don't always drive like a Granny or always drive like Ayrton Senna so they keep adapting to how you've been driving recently it's not 'set in stone' over the first 500-1000 miles.

Amundsen MIB1 Map Update 2020-2021
Is it a genuine Skoda SD card, the Amundsen won't find the maps on any other SD card? It doesn't matter which SD card slot you use, but a USB stick won't work either. Have you unzipped the downloaded file and placed all the contents (only) on the SD card?

Later Mk4 builds.
No in the UK we drive on the left (so left hand traffic) in right hand drive vehicles.

69 plate vrs no cruise , lane assist or tpms
Had something similar a few weeks ago, turned out to be a faulty wheel speed sensor (offside rear in my case). You really need a fault code scan to be sure what the cause is.

Driving an automatic - traffic lights
I remember the advice from a Police Class 1 driver - when a pause becomes a stop put the handbrake on and the gears into neutral. I've always done that whether the car is manual, auto or semi-auto.

SD card Music Issue
Never knew that, you're the first person to mention that workaround - and I've been posting my advice for the last 10 YEARS!!! You learn something every day

SD card Music Issue
Note that if the SD card is larger than 32GB the Windows format program won't do it, you'll need to use another program - a silly limit placed by Microsoft!

Has mytyres.co.uk gone bust ?
mytyres.co.uk is actually a trading name for Delticom who are a German company, all the tyres I have bought from them in the past have been imported from Germany - I wonder if they are having Customs problems due to Brexit?

Radio 65 plate Octavia
So the MIB2 Amundsen can pair with 2 phones, but we don't know whether OP has a MIB1 or a MIB2 (probably a MIB2 as it's a 65 plate, but not definitely as the production changeover was in May 2015 so an early 65 plate could still have a MIB1) or whether he has an Amundsen or a Columbus ...

Car purchased some quick queries.
Any Skoda dealer can access the online service history and print it for you - some say they can't but they are either incompetent or lying.
