2020 touchscreen into 2014 Octavia RS
Yes BUT: 1) you'll need to change the USB cable to the CarPlay compatible one 2)you'll need to have Component Protection removed and the SWaP codes re-enabled (both of which need a connection to the Skoda servers), then you'll need the coidng and adaptation checked to match your car

Skoda Karoq First Impressions
There are two issues at play here: 1) Kopacek (new name for Superskoda) will only ship to the UK using post not couriers, so there is a size and weight limit. 2) post-Brexit HMRC apply the value test whether to seek customs duty and VAT. So small low value items it's the same as before, small high value items you will have to pay duty & VAT, large items Kopacek won't ship to the UK.

Replace Head Unit With Larger Screen
Changing just the screen won't add sat nav, as already said the screen is JUST a screen to add sat nav you need to change the unit in the glovebox to an Amundsen - and check the compatibility of the screen with that new unit.

245 Inbound
There are 3 different specs of BCM so some 'tweaks' need the medium or high spec BCM which isn't fitted to all Octavias - the tweaks seem to be accepted when you change the settings using VCDS but because the lower spec BCMs don't have the hardware don't actually work!

This is probably an old topic. SD card for my vehicle
CarPlay and Android Auto need a USB cable connection, they won't work via Bluetooth - which is only for hands free and music.

245 Inbound
It is - there are 2 camera types fitted the 'full feature' A5 (which as you have LDWS you will have) and the 'poverty spec' 20 (which my Octavia has and that only supports HBA). Both these cameras are mounted in the windscreen behind the interior mirror - BTW they are not the same thing as the BCM (Body Control Module) which is mounted behind the glovebox.

Replacing heater blower motor
Might be better to ask that question in the Mk3 Fabia forum instead of the Mk3 Octavia forum?

... or the car in front slow turning off to the left - this has happened to me several times and is the Front Assist working correctly (if slightly 'crying wolf'), all you need to do it just tap the brake pedal and the warning will go away. It's the safety system on the car warning you of the need to take some action to prevent a crash, it's not a fault it's correct normal operation.

Skoda Octavia Mk3 Bolero entertainment unit.
When you replace the glovebox unit Component Protection will become active - removing this needs either a friendly dealer or an independent with access to the Skoda servers, on top of that any features that require a Fec (Feature enabling code) will need re-enabling - again needing contact to the Skoda servers) and finally the coding and adaptation channels will need restoring to the same values as the original unit.

Certainly sounds like the Front Assist warning to me - not an ABS issue.

This is probably an old topic. SD card for my vehicle
If it's the SD card for your navigation system then we need to know what system you have - the Amundsen only works with a genuine Skoda SD card but for updating the maps on a Columbus you can use any SD card. As you have a 2014 model you will have a MIB1 system not a MIB2.

Do I need a locking wheel nut key?
Not all Mk3 Octavias had an engine cover fitted at the factory, the 1.4 & 1.5 didn't so I fitted a VW one with a Skoda bonnet badge fitted to it.

Windscreen wash for passenger side and rear not working
Have you mixed windscreen washer additives? I've seen a mix of the VAG/Skoda screenwash and Holts produce a jelly like 'goo'.

Expansion bottle replacement
@varaderoguydid you mean to post this in the thread about water pump failure? This thread is about silica bags...

vRS Door Safety Lights
I have the white non-vRS ones from Kopacek, they were a straight swap (I just used a large flat bladed screwdrive to tease out the OE ones) and as the interior lights are not monitored there is no coding to be changed. http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-MEGA-POWER-LED-safety-door-lights-with-GHOST-light-OCTAVIA-WHITE

Skoda Columbus MIB1 monitor change after loss of sound.
You need to replace the unit in the glovebox, that is the actual electronics (not just a CD/DVD player); the screen in the centre console is just that - a screen. Be aware that replacing the infotainment not only will the coding and adaptation values need to be corrected but it also will require Component Protection to be removed and Feature Codes re-enabled - these require connection to the Skoda/Vag servers so cannot be done with any diagnostic tool.

As @Redboysays, it still thinks it's GMT not Summer Time.

1.4 tsi autonomy
OT but in the early 1990's me and some colleagues when out on a work trip use to have a competition with each other to see who could get the lowest instantaneous MPG figure on a Vauxhall Astra GTE (2L 16V) - I won with 1.2MPG

Don't understand WLTP or MPG numbers

2021 F1 Discussion
- Reverse beep in cabin not working (park sensors not working)
Do the reversing lights turn on?- Power steering fault
What is the voltage when the power steering starts working? I'm wondering if the battery is actually weak - 14.7V from start says that the alternator is initially having to put a lot of charge into the battery, suggesting a battery that is losing charge overnight. Electric power steering, like you have, is a heavy power user so very sensitive to state of charge and internal resistance (health) of the battery. - Reverse beep in cabin not working (park sensors not working)
