  1. Then why ask an owner of an Audi A4 Avant Quattro 3.0 petrol, if he prefers the Vectors fitted to that or the Cross Climates fitted to the Superb?
  2. One thing you should know is regardless of what anyone recommends, unless the tyres are on the same car as yours, the recommendation is effectively pointless. PS - The Conti AllSeason I have on our Superb are excellent. The AllSeason2 are supposedly even better.
  3. I mine must be due then; on 53k now.
  4. As haven’t tried all available makes of all season tyres I can’t speak to the performance of all the others, but the Conti AllSeason I have fitted are excellent, and were #2 in the tyre review when I bought them in late 23. If Michelin had the same price offer as Conti at the time, I’d’ve probably gone with them.
  5. They seem really well made. I’d go for those.
  6. I’ve just driven 360 miles in 25-32c temperatures and their performance appears to be unaffected. I think during these tests, tyres are driven to extremes. I remember when I was financially embarrassed a few years ago and bought a set of budget tyres - Accelera I think the were - and was then throttled as these were “appalling” and “ditchfinders”. They were just fine. You mean like driving on snow… or ice? 🙄
  7. Interesting. I wonder what a “wide dead spot” actually means? Certainly I can’t fault the AllSeason Contact 1. The grip is outstanding in wet, dry and snow; they’re quiet and wear level is really low.
  8. No, the Contact 1. Got them in Dec ‘23. I’m guessing the 2 are at least as good, if not better.
  9. Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case with All Season tyres from the so-called premium brands.
  10. I rate the Conti AllSeason Contact. They’re very quiet, have huge grip in the wet and are outstanding in snow. I’ve covered 15k and the fronts have still 6mm and the rears 7.
  11. Like me, you’ve wasted your time there @balazs955. Also the ones we’ve suggested work on both Android and iOS so if I move away from iOS in the future (probable) it’ll still work. As I’ve already said, one pays ones money and makes ones choice. However, if the AAWireless units provide more facilities than those adapters we’ve suggested, that could be a reason for the 500% price differential I guess, but in my case, it appears to mirror in exactly the same way wirelessly as it did when the phone was connected via a cable.
  12. A failing battery can create havoc with the electronics.
  13. £54 vs £13 for another which also works flawlessly? Y’ pays y’ money, I guess, but I don’t like wasting mine. EDIT - there are discounts available on Ali too. I paid £8 for mine!
  14. I bought one of these a couple of months ago. It works perfectly on iOS and Android.
  15. If you can afford to, just keep it Colin and use it sparingly. It’s going to appreciate as it’s an amazing, genuine Q Car.
  16. This isn’t my DA but it’s similar to this one. They’re excellent.
  17. Have you used this bloke before, Graham? I ask as he seems to’ve boogered something going in or coming out. If he’s reputable, he should be round to you today but if he is reluctant to, well….
  18. Can’t speak about VWAG builds, but when I visited Ford HQ twenty-odd years ago to talk about warranty claims for loss of use, they said it is these types of human errors which are the bane of the industry when it comes to identifying and rectifying. …which, I hope they didn’t say, are on back order from the factory and if so, that could be days.
  19. Or add silly artificial sounds and pump it through a speaker in the car.
  20. @Danoid Oh! Is that the purpose of the valves, to make the exhaust quieter? Why, in that case, do mine open when it’s idling? It’s all terribly confusing..😂
  21. @super717 What is your reticence in stating which oil company gave this information? If they informed you, it is in the public domain. If you genuinely have a letter from Skoda from Jan 24 stating what became the very purpose of you starting this topic, just take a pic of it and post it. Otherwise, I would suggest all you’ve done, however well intentioned (or not) is create a click bait thread.
