Allseason tires for Superb facelift 2.0 tdi
Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case with All Season tyres from the so-called premium brands.

Allseason tires for Superb facelift 2.0 tdi
I rate the Conti AllSeason Contact. They’re very quiet, have huge grip in the wet and are outstanding in snow. I’ve covered 15k and the fronts have still 6mm and the rears 7.

best adapter from wired Android auto to wireless?
Like me, you’ve wasted your time there @balazs955. Also the ones we’ve suggested work on both Android and iOS so if I move away from iOS in the future (probable) it’ll still work. As I’ve already said, one pays ones money and makes ones choice. However, if the AAWireless units provide more facilities than those adapters we’ve suggested, that could be a reason for the 500% price differential I guess, but in my case, it appears to mirror in exactly the same way wirelessly as it did when the phone was connected via a cable.

My timing has always been poor... been toying with selling for a smaller car
If you can afford to, just keep it Colin and use it sparingly. It’s going to appreciate as it’s an amazing, genuine Q Car.

Windscreen scratches
This isn’t my DA but it’s similar to this one. They’re excellent.

AC failed just after having a new alternator fitted.
Have you used this bloke before, Graham? I ask as he seems to’ve boogered something going in or coming out. If he’s reputable, he should be round to you today but if he is reluctant to, well….

Coolant leak on 2024 Superb.
Can’t speak about VWAG builds, but when I visited Ford HQ twenty-odd years ago to talk about warranty claims for loss of use, they said it is these types of human errors which are the bane of the industry when it comes to identifying and rectifying. …which, I hope they didn’t say, are on back order from the factory and if so, that could be days.

super717
@super717 What is your reticence in stating which oil company gave this information? If they informed you, it is in the public domain. If you genuinely have a letter from Skoda from Jan 24 stating what became the very purpose of you starting this topic, just take a pic of it and post it. Otherwise, I would suggest all you’ve done, however well intentioned (or not) is create a click bait thread.

Petrol Manual Acceleration Failure (Limp mode?)
Perhaps it’s worth getting the car scanned to see if fault codes have been registered? If they have, they might point to the problems you’ve encountered.

Valve exhaust retrofit
Hmmmm. I've never really understood the point of these flaps. Of other marques, those I can recall I’ve noticed them on are both types of Macan and the 335i, and oddly, that only has one, on the left exhaust and, of all cars, the Dodge Charger. On the 280, I've only ever noticed them opening when I’ve first started the car and it’s been idling for few minutes and then when they open, it gets a slightly deeper and throatier note to the exhaust sound. Is that the point of them? Does anyone know if they’re coded to open at specific times, RPM’s or throttle positions? What I do know is the return springs are not that robust and can snap and the OE replacement’s are horrendously expensive, so I bought a load from Ali for sod-all, just in case.

Blind Spot Monitor Question
@Berisford Agree, it could be, but then again if there was a fault it wouldn’t show the flash on the startup. @deedie Was your 300 mile journey on majority motorway, whilst being a centre lane hog at 52 mph with frustrated drivers under and overtaking you, or on A roads through city/town/village centres?

Sudden Octopus Go communication issues.
Sounds like the charging circuit needs a reset which, unfortunately, I’d suspect will mean a dealership visit.

Interesting mod there, Nick… 🙂

Blind Spot Monitor Question
Or perhaps it’s just not encountered a situation where the system is triggered. Apart from that one incident, I can’t recall it activating.

Blind Spot Monitor Question
If you’re getting the flash when you start-up, the system is working. For obvious reasons, warnings on the OS are far more prevalent than the NS.
