Were they genuine bulbs? There are so many fakes that genuine Osram have a serial no you can check on their website. I'm surprised both are failing after such a short amount of time. Osram Classic are not far behind the performance of night breaker, but are cheaper.

One of the main problems with cheap bulbs is how inconsistent they are. You also have to really read thoroughly how they have been tested for brightness etc as a lot of the claims made on the cheaper bulbs are questionable. You may be able to find a cheap pair that are as bright as Nightbreakers, but it's really hard trying to get accurate figures you can really compare against. I spent a while comparing bulbs, but in the end decided that it was worth the extra for a guaranteed decent quality product and bought a set of genuine nightbreakers from Amazon for £90. They were a huge upgrade over the standard bulbs, and well worth the money.

The Polo did have the centre arm rest on some models. When I had my vrs I fitted a set from a Polo Sport and it had the rear arm rest.

For some reason only known to Skoda, the MK2 Octavia Elegance got auto dimming mirror as standard spec. On the MK2 Superb Elegance, it was an £80 option.

That Fabia is a really good find. Every single option by the look of it! They have the wrong dash cup holder though. The one fitted has the straight edge. There was a separate one produced specially to go next to the sat nav. It has the same curve profile as the opposite trim piece, presumably to avoid catching on the slightly larger nav compared with the single din standard

Looking at the part diagrams, that buckle is not available separately. You do see some odd spec cars in europe. I remember when I did the Skoda factory tour, and one of the workers showed us his mk1 Fabia. Cayenne Orange 1.9 TDI PD100, with vRS bumpers and interior. All original from the factory to his spec. Saw a lot in the factory car park with a small extra badge on the boot lid, which meant something like "Factory worker specified and built car"

You're thinking of the Octavia. Mk1 Fabia only got headlight washers if the car had xenon headlights.

Were the vRS leather seats a Skoda UK option only? It would explain the complete lack of info around them. This brochure seemingly lists all 6Y Fabia accessories that were available to order, and leather seats isn't one of them. SkodaFabia_Katalogove_listy.pdf

So xenon was an official UK option on the elegance at some point? I've spotted a couple of elegance with xenon and always wondered how it was possible, as I don't ever remember seeing it as an option in the brochures.

Elegance should already have cruise control as part of the standard kit.

Are you looking for tyres to go on your existing wheels, or a set of wheels with tyres?

I'm pretty certain that those tyres are far too tall a profile for the Superb. A 45 or 50 would be more similar to the original size.

Looking at the image you posted, it definitely looks like a factory setup. If you haven't got a maxidot MFD menu to access the car's settings and adjust the volume, you might need to adjust it with Carista, VCDS or similar diagnostic tool.

Have you got a sunroof? They are prone to leaking

Was your old Octavia a mk1 or MK2? Only wheels from the MK2 will fit, but definitely 16" is the way to go. I managed to source a full set of mk7 Golf 16" wheels and new tyres than it would have been just for 18" tyres

Just a thought, but if you don't think you could fit a replacement belt in time for the MOT, do you have anyone you can borrow a child's car seat from for MOT day? If the car seat is the type fitted by the belt, where it physically clamps onto the belt, and the cut is hidden by the seat being fitted, they can't remove it to check the belt. You'll have advisory of: Nearside Rear Child Seat fitted not allowing full inspection of adult belt, but it should pass. Obviously I wouldn't recommend it normally, but if you know that no one is going to sit in that seat until you've got a replacement belt fitted, it will allow you the time to get it sorted.

Just a thought, When you're in reverse, does an image of the car show up on the radio? Where are the sensors on your rear bumper located? The "S" trim of car didn't come with rear parking sensors from the factory, only "SE" and above trim did. I wonder if someone has fitted an aftermarket set of parking sensors, which are not integrated into the car settings in any way.
