  1. https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/8p0867276-spring-clip-skoda-32789.html Definitely found as a legit number, never with an O (Oh) as Pete just mentioned.
  2. Dealers use what's called a BTACbox (NAS - Network Attached Storage) and this device downloads updates overnight for Flash files, Database updates for their diagnostic platform, and finally MMI (Multimedia updates) The OCU updates come from the MMI folder, so they don't exactly need to download something they already have. Translation, cheeky lying swines.
  3. Try 8P0 867 267 (Part 8 in this image)
  4. Additional image here for the bolts 1x Part 27 4x Part 25 by the looks of it, the trim Part 12 has interlocking edges, but what looks to be a single screw hole.
  5. This is the closest I could grab quickly, but not sure which of the 2x part 12's will be needed. If you want me to zoom in on an area, let me know.
  6. What was the story behind this update, did you go in knowing it was in for an update, or did you go in for something else and they then told you afterwards it had it done? If the latter, then that's not good, as customer should be asked before if it has been tuned and informed prior to work. You should have been asked to sign a work order in theory, I hear what you say about not having to pay for a fix, but there's no chance for Skoda to fix this ever. No clue where you are, but might be an idea to find out the nearest independant garage that might be able to assist. [Insert graphic for blood from a stone]
  7. Most likely an update to the OCU unit, as they are loads of firmwares out there for them.
  8. This is a job for @pab567 who will come along and suggest what can be done, it might be overall better to swap over to a MIB2 unit (which he can sell or suggest parts to buy) Recommend you have your VIN ready to go, as that might be next question to answer.
  9. Hi

Bonus news then on the no crabbing, welcome to the forum 🤝
  10. I understand what you are trying to say, but was saying maybe you could have used a Fabia VRS Mk1 front disk example, where they have 288mm and 287mm choices.
  11. @CarlstonHe has a Fabia VRS, so not sure the information about Octavia VRS front brake applies?
  12. Assuming this is down to an emissions fix, and it's very likely as someone I know had a customer complaint of exactly as you describe. I gave a little help in rolling back the update, and customer was happy. IIRC it was a fix for Engine ECU and DSG, but just rolling back the Engine ECU restored harmony. No main dealer will allow rollback, choices are independent garage with correct software, or a vehicle tuner and have it remapped/rollback with them.
  13. It's either radio firmware with a bug, the physical USB port has some small damage, or phone OS has a bug. You've replaced cables and fault occurs at roughly same time consistently?
  14. The OEM number is 2Q0 615 601 H Seen here, many results are either 232 or 230 mm https://www.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/oem/2q0615601h
  15. The PR Code matches, and the 2mm won't make any difference (assuming it's not a database typo) 1KP
  16. Error in database, meaningless the difference as mentioned
  17. @pab567 I think the above will be your area of expertise to answer if possible.
  18. @CosmoJ I am not sure myself on those tools, but if you drop a line to @fabdavrav as they are not far from you AFAIK and might be willing to assist possibly in helping you to read out things with VCDS for some beer tokens.
  19. That could be down to two different cars, so load on each battery is much different (heated seats/front and rear screens vs just rear) battery Ah, battery tech (Wet/EFB/AGM) and finally luck of the draw, where you got a duff battery fitted. You might want to read this thread in full, to see how a car reacts to a 7Ah vs 70Ah rating being input, makes for a nice read. As for VCDS, if you are planning to keep the car for any length of time, or a going to keep with the VAG stable, then it's a wise investment. It's about 2-3 visits to the dealer/garage to pay for itself, a no-brainer in my book. If not keep an eye out on here for 2nd hand VCDS sales (don't trust online auctions, they will mostly be fake)
  20. I nearly replied yesterday to say that I think people are basing their FUD on knowledge of cars gone by. A belt on an old car didn't always live very long 20+ years ago, and this influences the mind into thinking their expensive car will suffer the same fate. These threads are repeated all over the internet for the other VAG brands with the same circular argument. Rather like a snake eating it's tail, something has to give, we need Skoda UK or factory to finally put a stop to this, but I suspect not as written above... this is a licence to print money from the FUD that they helped to spread by making it a recommendation.
  21. It might not be compatible yet, but you can try it (it will reject if not correct/supported) SupportedTrains = "MHIG_EU_VW_P0050*, MHIG_EU_VW_P0066*, MHIG_EU_VW_P0070*, MHIG_EU_VW_P0344*, MHIG_EU_VW_K0344*, MHIG_EU_VW_P1054*, MHIG_EU_VW_P1532*, MHIG_EU_VW_P1534*, MHIG_EU_VW_P1538*, MHIG_EU_VW_K1540*, MHIG_EU_VW_K1550*"
  22. I am unpacking and repacking a file now, hopefully PM you in a bit with link
  23. Can you show your software train so I can double check it.

I think we all regret changing from the old PD130's.. bulletproof. Welcome to the forum 🤝
