Cambelt gone
Yep, I've noticed in my 12 years on here, some do like to see fellow members in predicaments and put the boot in given half a chance............

The 280PS Thread
I used DrivetheDeal.com for my L&K 280 Estate - they are normally quite quick to withdraw any vehicles/options that the manufacturer deletes - just had look at their web site and the 280 L&K is still being offered at just over £38k with the options you list?

Dealer trying it on?
24 weeks was the lead time when I ordered........

Dealer trying it on?
Droll, very droll............oh how we laugh............I will have waited 40 weeks - I want to delay registration by 2 weeks, not unreasonable.

Dealer trying it on?
Not much sympathy then! There's no stipulation (that I can see) in the finance agreement that requires the motor to be registered when it arrives? It's my car, not a lease deal, registered in my name, paid with my monies via a 5.6% loan over 3 years. I don't think it's unreasonable to have a new car registered on the 1st of the month.

Dealer trying it on?
My dealer called today, seems my Superb ordered in May has made it to the dockside at Emden awaiting a ferry and should be at the dealership early February - great - however - they're telling me because I'm using a the Skoda finance contribution the vehicle 'must' be registered within a few days of arriving, offering me a selection of '71' plates to choose from. I put it to them that I'd be losing out financially on two fronts, one, the resale value of a '71' is going to be less than a '22' and up to a month's worth (£140) of VED. It was suggested that the 71 - 22 plate business won't affect any resale value as it's the year that counts! We didn't resolve this as the car hasn't yet made it onto a boat......However, I feel they are being unreasonable - anyone else had this problem?

Replacement Wipers
In what way did they not fit, too slack on the arm or just wouldn't go on? I see Halfords don't offer Bosch 864 for the iV but the Halfords 143 set they suggest is equivalent to the 864's - all very curious.

Superb MKIII owners register
Ah, yes - talk of SD cards - completely forgot about the Columbus not needing 'em...........however, I'm thinking the SE Tech came with Amundsen?

Delivery Delays
Had a dealer update this a.m. - Car has been 'released' but it'll be about 4 - 5 weeks before it arrives no mention of any missing toys - 22 Reg it is then........I ordered end of May build started week 29.

Superb MKIII owners register
Yep, 2 SD card slots, one for the Navigation data and one for your music……….Skoda Nav normally only works with genuine Skoda cards.

Delivery Delays
Well 310golfr, you predicted my Superb would be a 22 reg and it looks as if you'll be proved right, not a peep from my dealer since 12 November when they pointed out the Superb '.....has a good few chips in it'!

Electrical Schematic Drawing
Didn't suggest a bigger fuse, just pointed out that the standard fuse is 25amp...........thus, you can have 300watts. Also, I'm sure each socket has its own fuse.....?
-
Electrical Schematic Drawing
If you are running with a 25amp fuse then it'll be around 300 watts, quite a bit - I dare bet any sustained draw at full whack the feed will get quite warm ....?

Columbus SatNav Update - What Medium Do You Use ?
- Continuation. The legacy file part 1
Hmmmm.....good that you are determined to get it fixed but looking at the garage, it has some dodgy reviews in the 5* section and more than enough unhappy 1* customers - enough to put me off in the first instance, however, the used car market is full of sharks and some call themselves 'main dealers'!- Remove ACC Radar Cover?
Never implied anything other than a £20 wheel alignment shouldn't require a further £150 calibration - as posted above by 'roo', it's a nonsense excuse by the dealer, especially given the system worked before and after the event. If you dig a little deeper and beyond the plethora of adverts spooking folk into parting with their monies you'll find mentions such as this from the BMW X5 forum: https://forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/142695-wheel-alignment-and-adas-recalibration/- Remove ACC Radar Cover?
So the ADAS was working before your visit to National Tyres and it worked for a 'few weeks' after the work was done and when the fault popped up the dealer blamed National Tyres for not recalibrating, yes?- Cup holders ridiculously shaped
Apologies, I misunderstood your predicament - I thought the reflections in the photo were the coins - if they went in via the card slot then I suspect they'll have to come out the same way - palette knife perhaps?- Remove ACC Radar Cover?
Google a little deeper.........- Cup holders ridiculously shaped
If they’re ‘rattling’ around then the upside down action has got to work, especially if given a sharp bash down on the kitchen worktop………… Or do you mean removing the tray tidy doesn’t work? If so then try again, with some confidence, grab it firmly with both hands and pull up sharply.- Another Battery post
Hmmm……..I’m getting a little concerned about all those motors in the field to the north east of Prague, not least mine that’s been waiting for chips since the first week in August. I wonder if they disconnect’em?- Skoda "All-in-one" Package
Well - what did the dealer decide?- Park assist use
Never been a fan of the way ‘park assist’ can get you into a impossibly tight space, inasmuch as those to the front and rear have to get out and as we all know, too many drivers don’t have the ability without some ‘assist’!- Columbus MIB update from SD card - any risks of borking it?
If you've made any errors or the card is not computable then the Columbus will simply not accept / read it...........- Pre heat on 2017 Superb using Connect
I don't think it's ever been available on UK spec vehicles........ ? - Continuation. The legacy file part 1
