  1. I sourced my headlights from eBay, secondhand, n from different sellers. So I got it cheap - cost me less than $1000 all up. However they're hard to find secondhand. Otherwise, u'd b looking between AUD$1000-1500 per headlight. The AFS controllers were $200 a pair. The D3S rings were about $40. I had a friend u has VCP and ODIS, so I didn't need to get the service centre to help.
  2. U need SLA headlights - part number ends in .B This version light up the whiskers. This version also does the high beam masking, like the matrix LEDs. I've done the retrofit myself. In addition to the headlights, u need different AFS modules, new D3S rings, vcds code changes and a new 4B parameter file loaded via VCP or ODIS.
  3. Had a Skoda meet up last weekend. Was a great turnout n great weather. I think for the first time the Superbs dominated, with only 2 Octavias present. We also had Kodiaqs, Fabias, a Scala and a Yeti. I'm pleased with the way Gandalf looks now. 🙂
  4. This question has been asked a dozen times. Sadly, it's the normal behaviour, unless u have the first batch, i.e. MY15 & MY16. Those ones remembered the last Drive mode selected. No one has succeeded in cracking this nut.
  5. Skoda doesn't use the direct TPMS system in any of their models. As @Wino said, it's the indirect version fitted. The direct TPMS version can b retrofitted, but it's a bit of an effort and coding required.
  6. i, like u @Onetoothcracker, was unable to find a supplier in Oz who would just sell the H&R or Eibach rear swaybar. so i ended up buying a Hardrace 25mm swaybar. They have a store in QLD. price was $330 delivered. i however have a FWD Superb, so i got the Golf GTi version (7759). they confirmed beforehand that it would fit. they also confirmed that the Golf R version (8778) would fit the AWD Superb. mine is also lowered on Eibach ProKit, but i don't do any towing.
  7. i've got the same set of wind deflectors for almost 3 yrs now. really good and they slot nicely inside the window groves. no need for double sided tape on to the body work like other wind deflectors
  8. There is no such requirement at all, and will yield no benefit. It should b as simple as right-click the zip and extract to sd-card or USB drive.
  9. i have bad memory, hence i'm having trouble remembering wat i've done. very very bad memory 😜 besides, my calculator doesn't work.
  10. +1 I'm also keen on changing mine to the Sportline flat bottom steering wheel too. Did u use the existing airbag @kriva?
  11. Yes, from wat I can see too. Tis a very small difference really.
  12. Weird. Mine is MY17 and I've never had an issue with either the Skoda Update Portal (using my VIN) or VW Maps Portal (no VIN required), using my SD card. I can't update via the online method as the MIB2 doesn't have this feature. This was introduced from MY18 models with the MIB2.5 units. U r getting the right maps for ur unit yes?
  13. @Roscio u should get the smoked black foglights (sportline version) too if u can 🙂 it will darken the front of ur car even more.
  14. That looks way way better and as @NJRJ pointed out before, less exposed n vulnerable now to stones & debri. Good work.
  15. R u using a USB stick or SD card with all ur attempts thus far @Sandgroper?
  16. Can't u plastidip ur chrome surround in gloss black, since ur taking it apart any to fit the honeycomb grille?
  17. There's a bunch of pics of it on Superskoda.
  18. i've been using the built-in windows extractor all these years with no issues. just make sure u only the following contents in the sd-card root folder. nothing else:- - Mib1 (folder) - Mib2 (folder) - metainfo2 (text document)
  19. Sorry, I don't have any pics. These were taken a while ago when I retrofitted SLA headlights. The ACC radar cover is attached to bumper grille. It has no physical touch points with the actual radar mounted above the crash bar. The chrome bit on the bumper is just the trim. U need a black version being a Sportline.
  20. something is not right, especially if the dealer replaced it with a new battery only last year!! wat did they replace it with? go back to the dealer n tell them the issue. could've been a faulty battery. mine was replaced (last month) under warranty with a new Varta battery. since mine is MY17, the 5 yr warranty covers it. there were no issues with it apart from start-stop had stopped working. so when i took it in for its 3yr 45k km service, i asked them to check out the battery. tests proved it was on its way out.
  21. I've got Spotify Premium and I'm able to give the same commands ur trying with no issues through Android Auto. I would highly recommend u uninstall Spotify on ur phone, reinstall it and login in. Guaranteed that should fix ur problem.
  22. both those bumpers look the same - as u said, minus the trim fittings. here is my front bumper off. i have an MY17 model.
  23. ah, i didn't realise ur from Oz too @elfensin 🙂 i'm based in the ACT. i was about to get those same Taiwan sourced side-skirts too, but i had my eyes set on the Rieger side skirts. how did u get urs so cheap though. when i looked at those ones, the seller on ebay was asking close to $1k for it shipped to Oz. i think the black lip in addition to ur side-skirts made it look even fatter. good thing u removed it. my Rieger ones make the car fat too, probably cause it protrudes outwards in the center bits, but i don't mind that.
  24. Here is the PDF @SuperDuperSuperb....... removing rear bumper.pdf
  25. I've removed the rear diffuser, but not the entire rear bumper. I did have a look at the workshop manual, and it's a lot more tricky than removing the front bumper. I've removed the front twice. I think I have the PDF, I'll find it n send it to u.
