  1. That engine suffers from the same problems I believe.
  2. Is it an early1.2 TSI by any chance? If so get the cam chain/tensioner checked as it could well be on the way out.
  3. Thats who did mine, its a westfalia, I drove from the midlands to get it done there as they were way cheaper and better than any of my local ones
  4. Mine has been cleaned twice according to the garage, I will change it next time.
  5. This is for the Octavia but Yeti will be similar.
  6. I did mine on my old Octy eBay is your friend, the Octy one was £30 from memory.
  7. Hill descent switch is for offroad use only should not be used on the road........
  8. You will struggle to find cheaper than this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/096-Powerline-Car-Battery-12V-72AH-610A-4-YEAR-WARRANTY-MORE-POWER/272526700880 Which is what I have in mine since the original battery failed

  10. Just removed my retrofitted kit Put the old carpet back. didnt cut it in or out.
  11. If you click the arabic below that it comes back with; Search for Skoda Yate code for lighting
  12. Hangers relate to disc size and calipers. As for sources I got calipers and hangers from a German eBay supplier. It was only about £10 more than hangers alone. Hangers for mine https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F142998844883 can't find the full kit at present
  13. Details of what is what are here So all 140/170 had the same front calipers only the brackets discs and pads changed.
  14. Simple and easy mod is to change fronts to 312mm discs, this involves discs/pads and hangers, calipers stay the same. Improves stopping power no end, even when towing a 700+kg un-braked trailer which I do on occasions However guess from what you said that this wont be enough, in that case look at the Octavia route above. Don't forget it is classed as a modification so you will need to inform your insurance company.
  15. Firstly which yeti they all have different brakes. On my 140 I changed the front discs and calipers to the same as the 170 also used on a golf. Much improved.
  16. Yes no problem. I had mine reversed by UNIT18 in Milton Keynes. Noticed the difference as I drove off. Since then I have had it remapped but I have an OBD device that allows me to replace the original map if it ever goes to a dealer, which it wont, and then I can remap it afterwards. When the remap was done I downloaded the original map to the device, e-mailed it to Shark who e-mailed back the remap which I then uploaded to the car. No need on mine to send the ECU off.
  17. If I was doing lots of short runs I wouldn't have a diesel! In 35k+ miles in this Yeti I have yet to see a DPF light, I guess its the way I drive Mine has stood for the last 4 days as VAGDPF said that it was due a regen and I was going to do lots of short trips <3miles so I used the wife's petrol Rav4 whilst she was at work. As for difference between fix or no fix, on my 140 it was very noticeable once I had the fix removed so not just on the 110.
  18. I had mine rolled back to pre fix by UNIT18 , later I had it remapped . A remap does remove the fix. A tuning box wont as it doesn't rewrite the software in the ECU. Having said that regens are dependent on your driving style if pottering about mine can be as low as 100miles between regens, Driving long distances fast i tend to see 200miles plus. Monitored by VAGDPF. A diesel golf will be the same if it has the same engine.
  19. 2010 Yetis do have a filter. I know this because mine was blocked despite having the correct oil changes and the pump had burnt out. Skoda denies it exists but they would wouldn't they. https://www.haldexrepairs.co.uk/shop/filters/generation-gen-4-filter-kit-vw-audi-seat-skoda/
  20. I have a full size 17" spare in my boot. Floor is level with the top of the boot lip and I have added spacers between the floor and the boxes under. In hindsight I should have put the spacers under the boxes. Works well for me but does reduce the boot capacity by a lot, I did it in the first week of ownership so haven't missed the space.

Indeed I thought 1 atmosphere was 14psi however apparently its not, its 14.6959psi I have also just learnt that 1 bar is not one atmosphere To quote the interweb The bar is defined using the SI derived unit, pascal: 1 bar ≡ 100,000 Pa ≡ 100,000 N/m2. Thus, 1 bar is equal to: 1,000,000 Ba (barye) (in cgs units); and 1 bar is approximately equal to: 0.987 atm 14.5038 psi absolute 29.53 inHg 750.06 mmHg I guess its all to do with rounding up or down

I only work in bar these days and to convert it to psi I just typed "2.2bar in psi " into google and it came back with 31.9083 hence I said 32

Recommended pressure by Skoda is 2.2 bar or 32psi. I believe that to be a minimum.

Normal 17" Yeti pressures are 2.2 bar all round, my normal pressures are 2.3bar all round but when towing and laden I go to 2.3bar fronts and 3.0bar rears. ETA there is I believe the option to go up to 2.5bar all round to get better fuel economy.

You can change pressure but you will have to reset the TPS after any changes.
