  1. Would the VIN number help you?
  2. I did find an option to deactivate the TSR in the assist systems screen so did that. It worked for the first drive but reset to enabled on the next. It seems it is another that needs to be disabled on every drive. 🙄
  3. I’ve had a similar experience and have been looking how to deactivate TSR. Could you point me in the right direction please?
  4. And all this because I was posted about the economy of my particular model. 😂😂😂
  5. ACC does exactly the same in standard form. For me, travel mode is only really useful on the motorway and dual carriageways, where there are clear road markings down the carriageway and is not really suited for driving on any other type of road due to road markings not always being present. It can pick up kerbs but is easily confused on rural roads.
  6. ACC adjusts to the speed of traffic ahead and to speed limit signs. Travel mode does exactly the same. The only difference between the two is travel assist steers to keep the car between the lines on the road even round bends. There are a few circumstances where it gets a bit confused though.
  7. No idea about the grille LEDs but yes, the rear long lamp is fake. Maybe it will become “live” in future updates or sold as an option?
  8. I can’t remember if I set it up like this, but I have an autohold icon at the top of the infotainment screen. It may be slightly different using pedals, but I use hand controls and find a very gentle pull on the accelerator ring achieves a smooth pull away. I am assuming that being gentle with pedals does the same.
  9. I started to use Waze but the annoying comments get right in my tits! Any way to disable them? I’ve tried but gave up
  10. Yup. I used to use ACC on the same route because I was lazy, getting low 600’s, but just using human powers of observation improved things. The car has very little engine braking so I can let off quite early for speed limit changes and approaching slower vehicles in front. We get a lot of tractors round here. Also letting off to coast down hills and only applying throttle when needed to maintain speed help massively. In the current fuel price hike I’ve also started driving on dual carriageways and the motorway at 65mph. It seems to make little difference to journey times. We’re doing a 400 mile trip shortly and I worked out that it will only add 30mins so I call that a win. BTW, has anyone else noticed that quite a lot of other drivers seem to be doing the same?
  11. 2.0 SEL DSG Driving slightly more gently but still making progress, and my highest range so far, mind you it cost £100!! to refill it against the normal £75. Not a lot we can do about that though, eh?
  12. I have the 150 diesel SEL without DCC and regularly see low 50’s mpg. I have seen low 60’s occasionally too. Average mpg is 52 over the last 15 months. Enjoy the new car
  13. It’s a bit strange that the wife’s android stays connected all the time.
  14. I believe if you have ACC then travel assist comes as part of that package. I added ACC as an optional extra and have it. I must confess that I didn’t know anything about TA until I saw it when turning lane assist and speed warning off using the steering wheel controls.
  15. One of the salesmen at my local dealer has the same problem when he goes over a certain bridge. Apparently he thinks it is due to a 5g mast right by it. Who knows? I have a similar issue. Having recently had the software update, both my iPhone and the wife’s android will connect but after about 15-20 mins, disconnects and we are unable to reconnect without turning the car off, locking and restarting it. Also having a problem with the car wifi. I have a new data plan, after the first 12 month free with the car expired which worked perfectly by the way. It is now impossible to set up and I keep getting an error message saying something like eSIM owner not assigned. It’s going back to the dealer in a couple of weeks, let’s hope they can resolve it.
  16. Apologies for the delayed response. I mean key in your pocket and just walking up to the car and it unlocks without touching the door handle, about a metre away from the car. The locking happens around 5 metres away as you walk off. You should also hear a blip. If you walk away and you hear a double blip, it’s because one of the doors, tailgate or bonnet is open. I can’t remember where in the menus I found it but I think it’s in the lock/ unlock settings.
  17. Same here. I presume you mean the proximity lock unlock Also the boot wouldn’t open with the button on the tailgate but would on the keyfob. I have just had the major software update done an it all seems to be working as it should. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
  18. You’re right about the AEB when manoeuvring. Several times it has activated with such a bang, I thought that I had actually hit something solid, which I hadn’t. Scared the hell out of me! Got out to look for the expected damage and was surprised to find none. During normal driving I have had no issues with it. I’m now of an age where I don’t have to rush anywhere so just chill and enjoy the ride. I use ACC set to the standard settings, all the time with lane assist turned off and often use travel assist on long motorway journeys. I guess it all comes down to learning the systems limitations, accepting the shortcomings and learning how to manage them.
  19. Mine went in a couple of weeks ago. All sorts of electronic gremlins appear to have been sorted, including the VC map view. Not sure it’s related, but the infotainment seems to not like both our phones. 1 Android and 1 Apple! I think I’m going to have to delete both and start again from scratch. If that doesn’t work, the dealer is having it back to sort it.
  20. Winter tyres are the way to go! So much more grip in snow and very good in general with wet weather and heavy rain
  21. AFAIK the only way to get this function is the package with adaptive cruise. I have it on my 2.0 SEL. If fully enabled, it will also reduce speed when negotiating tighter bends in the road. One thing to bear in mind is that it can sometimes react to speed limits for roadworks where the lower limit has gone. For me, that’s the only down side, but easily overcome by pressing the set button at your current speed. I wouldn’t be without it
  22. Recently had it changed so I know it’s not that
  23. I don’t believe you need the headlight washer system and associated parts. My LED headlight Kodiaq didn’t have washers, but my Yeti with HIDs did. My Kodiaq 2 has LED headlights and also doesn’t have washers fitted.
  24. The 2.0 diesel is very economical isn’t it. On most journeys I see high 50’s and on a couple of occasions I’ve got 68! That’s not using ACC at all. I find that using it always gives less than 50mpg. I suspect it has something to do with the ACC using the brakes to maintain speed on the downhills.
  25. Apologies my friend, but the weather has been shocking round here for the last few days. Pics as promised. i use a loop of frame under the 2nd Roy of seats for the bottom hook and the net hook for the top. There is another solution I’ve just thought about. Could you swap the large hook into the other position with the cover over it?
