  1. It is indeed. It seems the adaptions company waited until the car was delivered to the dealer before they ordered the kit from Italy. Also, I believe that this is one of the first Kodiaq 2 to the other parts of the adaptions and there aren’t any equipment suppliers that can supply them. I have agreed for the adaptions company to use my car to design the kit, so it will take a week rather than a couple of days. I’m ok with that as I’ve managed to squeeze a discount from them privately.
  2. My car has arrived at the dealer. Ordered 2nd August. Can’t have it yet though coz there is a delay in some of the adaptions that have to come from Italy, nothing to do with Skoda. It’s looking like the end of November/ early December now.
  3. Can you turn off the sensors with the P button, like on the Mk1?
  4. Wel this doesn’t fill me with confidence. Mine is due for backend of October delivery, so fingers crossed it doesn’t suffer the same fate. It would be impossible for Skoda to provide a replacement as I use custom made hand controls.
  5. Is that a Mk2? I’ve gone for the SE-L Mk2 and it appears to only come with standard cruise. The adaptive is an option in the driver assistance pack.
  6. Good news. Had an email from the dealer this morning. Apparently, my car is at the port awaiting a ship!
  7. Is the usb by the mirror permanently live or switched with the ignition?
  8. I ordered mine on 2nd of August. Had a call from the dealer with a build date in September for delivery in October mid that’s true then it’s about right. I guess it all depends on the exact spec of your order.
  9. Hmmm, that’s interesting. The sales lady tried all sorts but computer said no. As I said above, I’m not really bothered as I very rarely use the car early in the morning and am never in that much of a rush at any other time either.
  10. Bit the bullet yesterday and have gone for a 2.0tdi 150 in bronx gold, with the driver assistance pack. I only wanted adaptive cruise but hey ho. I know I said in another post that it looks like muddy mustard, but it’s growing on me. One odd thing… you can’t have a heated windscreen with adaptive cruise, it’s one or the other! Since I drive with hand controls, the ACC is a must. I’m retired, so defrosting the screen isn’t that important to me. Just got to sit back and wait till November now. Estimated delivery is 12 weeks to the port and another 4 to get through the paperwork etc.
  11. First impression …. The bronze colour that looks so vibrant in the media release looks more like a muddy English mustard. Very disappointing. the interior seems more spacious and the seats seem more supportive. we’ll find out on Sunday during our test drive.
  12. All depends on the model I guess.
  13. OK you clever lot… Is it possible to do this? I believe it goes under the drivers seat. Is the wiring harness already there and does anything need to be done at the head unit end? Can it just be plugged in and does it need coding to work? BTW the car has a bolero head unit. Is there a specific Bluetooth unit I need? Will it play music and enable phone calls? Lastly, would it be much simpler to fit a generic adapter, and in that case which one would you recommend? TIA
  14. I get this every now and again on my 2020 Kodiaq on first start up. I just turn the ignition off and restart the car and the error goes away and the ACC operates as it should, so don’t worry about it.
  15. I was referring to new models in general and not just from Skoda. I agree that test driving the same model facelifted would be a waste of time, I ordered my last 2 Yetis without, In the case of the new Kodiaq, the dash layout is completely different and I need to know I can reach all the knobs and other bits and bobs easily before I commit, as I said above, my needs are very specific.
  16. i can’t understand why you would order a new car without a test drive first. Yes, you might get the new model before anyone else, but is it just because you can say “look what I’ve got” I spoke to my dealer yesterday and he tells me that they’re not getting any demonstrators till June at the earliest. I know my needs are more specific than others, but I’m going to wait thanks.
  17. Nicely put Rooted. A few points to add to your comments… I usually keep my cars for 5 years as they have hand controls fitted, which are expensive. Motability will not allow them to be transferred to a new vehicle, even of the same model. Everyone is entitled to drive the car they choose. Just because you have disability why should it be any different? Yes, the advance payment can be expensive, but if I NEED a bigger “ luxury” car, then I am prepared to cough up. If I choose extras to make my life easier the I have to pay for them as well. Heated screen as I can’t reach far enough to scrape it. Adaptive cruise control too. If you’ve ever tried to drive long distances using hand controls then you’ll understand.
  18. As said above… Ouch! I guess I am lucky in a way, as it would be on Motability so it’s only the up front cost that might tip the balance. However, I have specific needs regarding mobility equipment etc. I will have to have a test drive and see if it all fits first, but having had Skodas for the last 18 yrs without any mechanical issues, I am reluctant to change brand.
  19. Any idea when the full spec brochure is released?
  20. A bit of a daft question, maybe, but I’m not sure ifLED headlamps generate enough heat to melt snow whilst driving?
  21. SWMBO had exactly the same camera fitted to her Octavia by a dashcam fitter. He used a flexible wire thingy to pass the cable through the head lining and with a bit of wiggling, managed to get it through the rubber boot into the tailgate so no messy wires there either. He also fitted the same in the Kodiaq as I couldn’t be @rsed with the glovebox malarkey.
  22. I have a data SIM card and use the Online POI search function. It always gets me right spot without any fuss.
  23. You can download the owners manual here… https://manual.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com/Models I reckon that will help
  24. Well it is a palindrome, if there is such a thing for numbers?
