  1. Is there any debris that has fallen into the lock cavity stopping the latch engaging properly? Push the sprung cover down to check. Is there debris in the bottom boot seal?
  2. I waited 14 months for my current car, finally delivered in August 2020
  3. Now that’s a shame, I will replace the current one with another, but a hybrid option would be a great replacement.
  4. I fitted these… http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/KODIAQ/Kodiaq-MEGA-POWER-LED-cargo-trunk-light-KI-R They come as a direct replacement and I’ve never had an issue with them.
  5. Have you considered an X Trail? I know nothing about them apart from the size though.
  6. I might just do that. Just tried to create a route on the portal. What a complete PITA and not what I need. Thanks for the suggestion though.
  7. Is there a way of uploading a route designed in Basecamp or other PC software please? I am planning a trip away soon and would prefer to use the infotainment rather than my old Garmin. TIA
  8. There is always the auto zoom function that zooms in for junctions and out for longer distances between directions. Tap the zoom icon on screen and the slider appears. On the right of the slider are the zoom + and - magnifying glass icons. To the right is the auto zoom one. That seems to work for me.
  9. I took the sim out to use in the iPad as it has more data on it. Its taken a fortnight for the red globe to turn white again after I put it back in the car. It happened when I did the same before nd no amount of fiddling would get it back to white, it just did it on its own. Not so simply clever.
  10. I believe it’s normal. All my Yetis had it and the Kodiaq is the same. If you can’t bear to look at it, then a quick coat of brake caliper paint will sort it.
  11. thanks for the FAT32 and exFAT explanation. Maybe I was misunderstood regarding the map upload. What I meant is that the update continued even though the system switched off after the 30 min timeout and completed the update without having to go back to the car several times.
  12. I updated the map on the bear yesterday using the download from the portal. The instructions say to format the SD card to exFAT so I did and it worked first time. IIRC, they also say to leave the ignition on. I tried it by leaving the ignition off and just turning the infotainment on, starting the update and locking the car and walking away. The infotainment switches itself off after about 30 mins but the update continues, which is nice.
  13. Your point is? I can’t figure out if you agree with my new driving style or not.
  14. Living in Norfolk, it’s seems the vast majority are doing the same. In major urban areas I can understand others apparent frustration but in the country, folks don’t seem to care. Must be something to do with the slower pace of life.
  15. Due to the price of petrol recently, I’ve been trying to be good and the results are quite pleasing. Reducing speeds from 75 on dual carriageways and motorways to 65, national speed limits to 50, my mpg has gone up from low 30’s to mid 40’s which means almost 500 miles to a tank rather than a miserable 360 I was getting. Happy with that.
  16. Ours is a 2012 and has the standard wheels. They are 18” as the pic below.
  17. I would go back to the dealer. It’s clearly a fault with the fixing/adhesive they use to secure the part.
  18. My opinion, after switching from a 2.0 diesel Yeti to a 1.5 Kodiaq… You’ll miss the low down and mid range torque but it doesn’t take too long to adapt.
  19. It will be a complete ball ache and very frustrating for you, but you have the option to reject the car if the options you paid for are not fitted. I had specified ACC and heated windscreen and the car was delivered without both. It was even worse, as I need adaptations, which were fitted to it before I had a chance to check the car was what I ordered. Turns out that the admin doing the paperwork missed them off the order!! I managed to get a full tank of fuel, posh mats and a boot mat as compo. IIRC, it’s not possible to retrofit either, so I rejected the car and had to re-order. The first car took 7 months to arrive and the replacement another 7 due to Covid. Cingers crossed the ACC is fitted when your car actually arrives.
  20. Have a look at this thread… Top of page 6 there is a 3 section hard rubber/carpet reversable mat. The one with a split down the middle of 2 sections. You can fold 2 sections over so it fits with the 3rd row up. I actually cut the whole width section off so I could use it for the lowered boot floor and the other 2 bits taped together for the seat backs when folded so I can get my wheelchair in.
  21. I use a couple of faraday pouches at home. Perfect every time. Don’t forget to put the spare fob in one.
  22. Well I followed the instructions to the letter. downloaded the zipped file, unzipped it and copied all 3 folders to a 64Gb SD card formatted to exFAT. in sorted it in slot 1 on the Columbus and started the update. I had to turn the car off to go into work, but it kept on updating with the ignition off and the car locked. 6 1/2 hours!!! later all done, although it showed an upload error message, all the country maps have updated to 2021. result.
  23. Worked for my MY20 Kodiaq today, at
  24. Why stress? get down to halfrauds, buy some reflective yellow and white tape to cover the website, job done.
