Lack of SD card slots
Other manufacturers, capacities no doubt available. This is the easiest solution to putting music on from a USB equipped computer, and then just plugging it into an Octavia with no adaptors or Kabelsalat.

No Powered Seat option and other questions on spec - Mk4 Estate
"Standard" LED lights are much better than the Nightbreaker halogens I had in my Audi A6. Only you can decide if the 1575 sovs Skoda will charge you for the fancy matrix LEDs is worth it. Lane assist with traffic sign recognition does bring the ACC speed down from 70 to 50 when entering a set of roadworks clearly signed at 50. The next challenge will be to see if that works with the changing comedy of speed limit signs on the M25.

SKODA Rapid 2013 blowing hot then cold
"Does it get hot?" is all you want to know at this stage.

SKODA Rapid 2013 blowing hot then cold
Reassemble. Rescan. Is the fault still shown as a current fault? If the flaps haven't moved for a while, stiction may mean the motor can't move them - some motors / controllers are clever enough to then stop trying. "the motor seems to be working as it should" is progress. Now check to see if your heater matrix is actually getting hot.

SKODA Rapid 2013 blowing hot then cold
Q1. No. Q2 no idea but you will end up on your back with your head in the footwell. Q3 no idea but at least it might give you a start - and a picture of the actuator arm will let you see what it should look like. I'd get in there and get the motor off before ordering anything, though. Reported flap motor fault could be as simple as a dislodged connector... but you won't know until you have it in your hand. Good luck. "if you put the passenger seat right back and stick your head into the footwell and look up (can get uncomfortable :)), you can see the motor that controls the heat mix, and also the re-circulation vents etc."

Matrix LED Headlights
It looks as if the matrix LED headlights have the hockey stick shape DRLs / indicators, and the ordinary LED headlights have a single line DRL / indicator.

Dropping a wheel size - 17" to 16"
Test drove a Rapid on 17s when I was replacing one Rapid with another. Thought the ride - even on the motorway - was harsh and horrible. She currently runs 16 in the summer and 15s in the winter - not a lot to choose between them on ride comfort since the winters run a little higher pressure than summer pressures.

Buying 2015 1.6 TDI DSG Rapid, anything to look out for?
In the UK, DPF removal has been an MoT (annual roadworthiness check) failure since 2014. Your local regulations may be different.

advice for buying rapid spaceback
Think of it this way. Do you need different brakes to stop a 86bhp Rapid from 70 than you do to stop a 130hp Rapid from 70? As long as you're not pressing the loud pedal, no. How much power the engine can theoretically put out is irrelevant. Brakes are for reducing the kinetic energy of the car, not its power.

advice for buying rapid spaceback
I am well placed to comment on this, servicing my sister in laws 2010 1.2 Corsa, and my wife's 1.2 Rapid. The Corsa is a horrible, gutless, tiny little thing (not helped by its woeful "automatic" gearbox). The Rapid is streets ahead in space and driveability - but I am talking about the 105hp version here. I doubt that I could sit behind myself in the Corsa but perfectly possible in the Rapid. Both are budget offerings, but some of the Corsa plastics - like the EeeZee snap rear parcel shelf fixings - are as bad as anything I've ever come across. The Rapid did about 42 mpg in real life. If you still find the 86 bhp not enough, it can be remapped to 130 bhp / 215Nm. Don't tell her.

Any additional jacking points?
Sadly no replies here yet for you; I too have failed to find a good photo of the underside of a Rapid to help you. The front is straightforward; behind the front wheel an in about a foot or more are some solid structures connecting the body to the engine subframe. These solid structures will take the weight of the front end. The back end is a little trickier. It's tempting to use the central tube / bar connecting both sides, but you run the risk of permanently deforming it. Here I would get under the base of the spring; preferably with a wooden pad or rubber puck. If you're not happy with that, then use the central tube right up against the end.

Map Update
Just checked - the portal now has the smaller chunks of Europe on. Pick whichever is most useful. Another poster says the 13GB download will fit when uncompressed on the 16GB card. I think your variant of Amundsen is MIB2 rather than MIB1 - there are some helpful photos out there which show you the differences.

Map Update
Yes they are free, from the skoda map update portal. My wife's rapid reads them off an SD card - seems to have to be a Skoda branded nav SD card but if your maps are currently working, then they'll be on the SD card in the slot in the glove box for an SE Tech. You just need to put your VIN into the box on this page and it will tell you which is the latest map. https://updateportal.skoda-auto.com/ However..... I suspect, like me you have a 16GB SD card. With the very latest updates, ECE A1 2020/2021, it will not fit on a 16GB card. Prior to this, VAG carved up Europe maps into digestible chunks which would fit on a 16GB card - from memory I put the 2020 maps on for UK, BENELUX, NL, DE and FR. The maps have been out a week , and I have asked Skoda UK if they plan to offer them in smaller chunks but they have not yet replied. So perhaps we all have to go out and buy Skoda 32GB nav cards if we wish to keep the maps up to date.

So when can we order a new one?
