Wow MkI Octy. There's so much stuff about them on here about modding them. Peter Drury, Bowders, Delcac, Beryl's Chief Test Pilot, Monkhai......

Hello
? IIRC there's never been a Fabia with a 1.7TDi motor. 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 and 1.9 but not a 1.7.

2022 Skoda Fabia SE Comfort heater issues
@Scotty68 that's because people search for the heater resistor which have a long history of failing on the MkI, II & MkIII Fabias (amongst other models) but I seem to recall a post saying the the MkIV Fabia has a heater controller ( @Breezy_Pete Might know more?) rather than a resistor. If you search for heater controller or heater resistor then you'll probably get more hits.

Mk1 Fabia - Elegance 2L
I forget now mate but didn't he put a 1.8T in it? Doesn't matter but if it was his I'd have no qualms about the maintenance. He was spot on with everything.

Safe Jacking Point Location on Fabia 2008 Mark2
OP says the jacking points in the pinch welds aren't useable hence my suggestion of the rear beam for the axel stands and jack the vehicle from the workshop lift points if you see what I mean. As you say, don't jack the rear beam but in my experience it's been no problem to use axel stands under it placed as close to the wheels as possible.

Simple wheel change to winter tyres
What yer man said ^^^ Breaker bar almost always required to crack 'em and then yeah, torqued up to 120Nm. Easier to crack when on the ground, parking brake on, go around all four with the breaker to initially crack 'em and then ratchet them out off the gound.

New cars
It's the bling and other lighting carp that annoys me most. Seriously, who needs a full LED stripe across the front and rear with LED makers logos? And the apps. The bloody APPS! And bring back big buttons/ knobs/ dials to adjust the cabin temperature.

White goods with wheels = much cheapness. Might as well put a 'Beko' badge on some IMO
