  1. Just expressing an opinion, George. Cheap Chinese steel made by Chinese human drones who aren't all that well paid, cheap plastics and varying quality elctrics and electronic components. Not to mention the miles travelled to get to Europe etc. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft and others really should have got ahead of the curve a while back IMO
  2. I eeven made room for that other shelf set that's in one of the pics. Just need to get to the DIY place for a few more Euro boxes for more organisation.
  3. China will be more than happy to supply dodgy RHD BEV's to the UK for much cheapness I imagine.
  4. Just spent a few hours on mine as it was a bit of a mess despite me knowing (mostly) where everything was (approximately roughly honest!) This was after clearing some junk out already. Getting there. Just about done! Note to self; NO MORE BIT SETS!
  5. Flippin plane and a satellite gatecrashing my astrophotography IMG_3116.CR3
  6. Great their little pet dog is there as well. Laughing Gravy.
  7. Hope he doesn't mine me tagging him but @Breezy_Pete may have an idea?
  8. Irony - when an EV Cybertruck catches fire after hitting a fire hydrant https://futurism.com/the-byte/cybertruck-fire-water
  9. You'd be surprised at the quality of some IKEA stuff - their kitchen units are supposed to be pretty good quality these days. Of course there's some not so great stuff such as Lack side tables for ~ €7 but even they aren't too bad if all you're after is a cheap side table that you only need for one purpose. We've had PAX wardrobes that survived three house moves and were disassembled and reassemled each time. Still in situ in the UK even now they're about twenty five years old now.
  10. I was waiting ~26 seconds for some music to kick in before I noticed it was a 9 second clip
  11. Can you connect it via WiFi, Pete. I think they prefer the 5Ghz channel.
  12. @leolito type in 'Classic Shell' in the search box if you can find or you may be able to open it if you go into settings.
  13. You can open the Classic Shell settings if you open the program (click on the shell picture)
  14. "some even thought that it was a conspiracy theory and nothing else, but is it?" lol
  15. @leolito I've been using Classic Shell for years. Is this what you're after? My most recently used programs appear on the left. Far easier to navigate than the native Win 10 Start button menu IMO
  16. In the corner 😉
  17. Went for a drive, saw a Stork, took a few pics.
  18. When you've been talking about EV's so much your autofill uses 'armature' instead of 'amateur'
  19. Never heard of EREV's before. https://cleantechnica.com/2024/08/15/the-new-acronym-in-the-ev-revolution-is-erev-extended-range-electric-vehicle/?fbclid=IwY2xjawEq9YVleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHVmRz3VFiiK33vTBDS6P39oe5bNB400BlA_0wgnFH68ftmHZfnd4mWyJ0w_aem_4BhusNLmiMdedTW4nYYZVg Bloomberg article cited near the beginning of the above piece depaywalled https://archive.ph/LGVIB
  20. It's a common problem with late 80s/ 90s drive belts and not just tape decks. VHS, turntables etc suffered as well IIRC. Edit. Wasn't there a big sales pitch about direct drive stuff C mid 90s?
  21. I hope you had a first aid kit close to hand and the local A&E department were forewarned. I'm not saying you're prone to the odd mishap, you understand.
  22. Just pointing out the irony of how people who don't like certain topics in the non car related section shout about how 'this is a car forum so X shouldn't be discussed' yet in an actual car related topic, they go wildly off topic.
  23. Thanks to @dubDEAN and @Gaz for bringing this back OT. This is a car forum after all. There are other areas within this forum to discuss languages or even other things.
  24. I only asked if there were any decent ones still left 🙃
  25. Are there any decent unmodded MkIs left that haven't been ragged, rolled or written off?
